A Thousand Regrets
A thousand regrets I have for watching you die,
A pain so immense that you could no longer bear its wrath,
I feel such painful regret,
That I wished it was me instead.
A thousand regrets for deserting your side,
And leaving behind your carefree smile,
Only to cower in my shadow of sorrow,
Praying that I will never see tomorrow.
A thousand regrets for delivering you to death,
Wishing desperately that it should have been me,
But the answer would never come, no matter how much I begged.
I lie next to you in this brandish coffin,
With unbearable distress that you once felt,
And together, we eternally slept,
Taking with me a thousand regrets
