Congratulations to those who passed the qualifier round! For those who did not, please don't feel too discouraged, this awards tends to attract tough competition and judges and since the awards is genre specific, it can be harder to progress than in one that only accepts 10-20 fantasy/sci-fi entries for example. Feel free to pm this account to receive the score sheet for your first chapter and take a look at the judging criteria section for a note on scores.

This round will determine our semi-finalists! Three chapters of your book will be read this time by two of our judges. Only the top scorer from each batch will be progressing to the next round. 

Note: For participants who have multiple books entered, you may notice that in most cases they are all assigned to the same batch. This is to allow other participants a chance at the limited number of semi-finalist spots as well. In a few cases, the books are in separate batches, but only the higher score will be allowed to progress if it should so happen that more than one of the writer's books place.
