Sandman entered the Sanctum Sanctorum. It rubbed him in all the wrong ways. The victorian esthetic wasn't the problem, it was the aura of oddities, as if he was being watched by many different entities.

But for what he desired, he followed Robin's trail down to the basement, leaving behind a trail of sand. In a large open stone brick basement, which was cold and damp, Flint saw Robin standing near a large black sphere.

Robin: Good. You're here.

Robin: Within this sphere, is what I've been hunting. Now use your strength and that hook I gave you to rip it open.

Sandman: It's that simple?

Robin: That hook has been enchanted with a plethora of enchantments.

Robin: And the enchanted sand made from the shrines we made to create the dome...

Robin: It'll generate the necessary power for you to rip it open.

Robin; And being made of sand... You should survive.

Sandman: Should?

Robin; I'm not sure how the two forces will react upon contact. You could die horrifically.

Sandman:....

Robin: Or not.

Walking away from the sphere, Robin watches as Sandman lifts his hook and swings it at the magic sphere. Magical energy crackles. Outside, the sand dome begins rotating once more. Flint, with all his might pulls and pulls, believing whatever is behind the sphere is the key to his desire.

The sphere is slit open, as it disintegrates into nothing, Flint catches a glimpse at what it contained.

A cube.

It was silver, and slightly larger than a Rubik's cube. Odd markings covered each surface.

This cub floated to the floor where an arm bloomed from the ground to catch it. A row of arms then passed it along to Robin who excitedly took it, grasping it with both hands. She brought it close to her face.

Robin:(smiles) This is it....!

She alone could read the markings. Carefully reading each side of the cube, Robin's smile shrunk slowly away. Her eyes so filled with excitement, became dead and hollow as the information she learned was not even close to what she wanted to learn.

Robin:....

Sandman: Well...? How do we bring her back to life?

Robin: Hm? Oh...

Robin: This isn't what you need for that.

Sandman: What...?

Robin: What I hold in my hand is called a Poneglyph. Through my research, I've come to learn that it's...

Robin: Made from a mystic material that conducts magic impossibly well, carved onto it is history forgotten or never recorded.

Robin: By some type of "Watcher".

Robin:(mind) This one has nothing about the origin of Mutants.

Robin:(mind) I'm back to square one....

She tossess the cube away.

Robin:(mind) Joyboy... Apocalypse... Their fight doesn't mean anything to me...

Robin:(mind) I guess we Mutants are just that... Randomly gifted. A sin against humanity....

Sandman: Oi! What about me!?! What about what I want!? How can I bring back my daughter!? How can I go back to being human??!

Robin: It's here. Go find it.

Sandman: Like hell if I know anything about this voodoo crap! Help me find it!

Robin: Our business has been concluded.

Sandman: Don't you walk away from me!

Robin: Everything is marked, you simpleton. Just look around for it.

Sandman: Tch!

He swings his hook towards her, his arm extending to reach Robin.

Before the impact, several arms bloomed out from one another, creating a rope of arms that grabbed and lifted Robin off the floor, avoiding the attack.

Robin: Hmph.

Landing, she turned to Sandman with a glare.

Sandman: Your smartass attitude has always pissed me off... Along with yer superior attitude.

Sandman: Don't forget who got you this far!!

Robin: It's been me. You were nothing but a tool I used to get what I want!

Robin: The clothes you're wearing, the presence you now exude... All concocted by me, to make you a target while I worked in the shadows!

Robin: You couldn't rob a bank without every heronin the city off doing something more important!

Sandman:(glares)

*Tsssss*

Robin:?!

A sand snake bites Robin in the back of the neck, distracting her enough for Marko to slam her into the wall with a hammer of sand.

*WHAM*

Robin:??!

Sandman: Whatever that brick had written on in, must have really thrown you off your game...

Robin:...

Sandman: Whatever... You might have helped me, but just because you're trying to leave doesn't mean I lose all you gave me!

Sandman: Now tell me what I want to know! Or I fill you tonthe brim with sand, you god damned Mutant!!

Robin:(smiles) Heh... What do I care? I have no more reasons to live...

Sandman: Suit yourself...

Raising his arm, Sandman floated his sand towards Robin, preparing to pour her full until she burst.

He however hesitated once footsteps, quick and loud, echoed through the basement.

Luffy; SAAAAANDBAAAAAG!!!!

Sandman/Robin:!?!

Luffy: STOOOP RUNNING FROM MEEEEEE!!!!!

Running up to Marko, Luffy leaped up to reach his hight, and thusly punched him across the face with his bloody fist.

Luffy: RaaaaaAAAAHH!!!

Sandman:?!

Knocking him to the other side of the room, Sandman exploded upon contact with the wall.

Quickly reforming, he glared at Luffy.

Sandman: I'm so SICK of ya!

Luffy: Enough running! You're going to stay... And you're going to fight me!!!

Robin: What are you doing?! With your injury? And with no water, you can't hope to-

Luffy: Shut up! I'm going to beat him! For my friends that he's hurt!

Cracking his bleeding knuckled, Luffy approached Flint.

Sandman: This time... I'll make sure you're dead!

Luffy: I won't die. NOT UNTIL I BECOME THE KING OF THE MUTANTS!!!!!

Robin:!!

Luffy/Sandman: RAAAAHHHH!!

(Elsewhere....)

Black Cat: AGH!?

Pinned to the wall by 2 of Doc Ock's metal tenticals. The other two swayed close to her face.

Doc Ock: Admit it... You're working with Spider-Man!

Black Cat: Do not force my hand, Octavius! I have a job and I plan on completing it.

Doc Ock: And what job is that?

Doc Ock/Black Cat:?

Climbing out of the metal fire escape railing that Doctor Octavius dropped upon him, Sanji, bruised, loosens his tie.

Sanji: A ladies business is none of yours.

Doc Ock: Stay out of this child.

Sanji: Hmph.

Dashing towards Octavius, Sanji quickly flipped over him and his two free tenticals that he thrust towards him.

About to land in front of Cat, Sanji split kicks both arms that had her pinned by the shoulder. Freeing Black Cat, he glared at Doctor Octopus.

Doc Ock: You'll rue the day you attempted to get in the way of Doctor Otto Octavius!

Sanji: I've cooked Octopus before, old man. And even with a rotten ingredient like you...

Sanji: I can prepare a Michelin star dish! Just have to kick you into shape...

*Sizzle*

Sanji: Let's go!

Dashing towards Doctor Octavius, Sanji sees his metal tenticals prepared to unleash a flurry of attacks. Changing course diagonally to the wall of the alleyway, Sanji prevented Otto from accident hitting Falicia.

Running up the side of the wall, and allowing Otto to hit the wall with his blur of Octopus gatling punches, Sanji flipped towards Doc Ock in a spinning corkscrew style.

Sanji: Hiya!

Using his legs to heel kick two of Otto's arms off course, they stab into a wall as in his splitting legs position, Sanji shoved both his hands down onto the third arm, allowing himself to flip himself onto it and run down towards Otto.

The forth arm came flying with a garbage container.

Kicking it, Sanji pushes himself onto one of the first two arms, sliding down it to get to Otto.

Doc Ock:!?

Sanji: "Collier Shot"!!!

Kicking the doctor in the neck, Sanji launches him out of the alleyway.

His four metal arms dug into the buildings making up the alley. With his feet off the ground, Doctor Octavius held his neck as it both burned and felt broken.

Doc Ock: Ugh, Ack!? You...!

Gaining speed, Sanji begins flipping towards Doc Ock. In the final flip, he pushed off with his hands straight towards Octavius belly.

Sanji: "Troisième Hachis"!!!

*WHAM* *WHAM* *WHAM*

Doc Ock: Urk!?!

The Doc was pushed further out, his arms still holding on to the buildings, but leaving behind drag marks.

Sanji: "Mouton Shot"!!!

Channeling all his might into one leg, Sanji swings it so fast, it seemed like his leg was shaking. All the kicks he landed on Octavius struck simultaneously.

*KA-BLAM*

Doc Ock: *GRUNTS*!??!

Unable to anchor him, the tenticals rip off chunks of the building as Otto is launched across the street into a car.

*Crash*

Unable to continue, he passes out from the pain.

Doc Ock: Bleh...

Sanji:(tightens tie) I hope you learned some manners, geezer.

Black Cat:!?

Black Cat:.... Oh, I cannot keep up this act any more!

Sanji: Huh?

Black Cat: Oh come my way, young man!

Sanji:!?

Sanji: R-really?

Black Cat: Your chivalry and might have earned you my respect!

She dashes towards Sanji, who with a big grin skips towards the out of character thief.

Black Cat: Allow me to show you respect!

Sanji:(smiles) I need no reward... But a kiss on the cheek wouldn't-

Out of the burning wreckage, Laura climbed out with several burns and bruises. The Scorpion laughed as he stared at her.

Laura:(mind) Damn it...! I need to cut him. I must get stronger!

Laura: Grrrr...!

Laura:(mind) No more playing around... I've gotta use all my muscles. Use my weight to my advantage!

Laura:(mind) I'll cut him.

Crossing her arms, Laura lowered both to her side with a long sigh. Lowering her stance, she brought all her claws out, Laura winded one arm back while putting her other over the opposite shoulder.

Scorpion rushed to finish off Laura.

Laura:(mind) I'll take a page out of your book, Luffy....

Laura: "Dragon.... Twister"!!!!

*Wha-chooooo*

Rotating herself with the power of her swing just as Scorpion threw his attack.

Laura:......

The Scorpion's tail was in her stomach.

Laura:(smirks)

But it was cut off from his body.

Scorpion: Bleh!?

From the deep gashes Laura left across his body, Scorpion gushed out heaps of blood, collapsing to the ground.

Laura: One step closer... To be the best there is.

(Elsewhere....)

Guido wrestled with Rhino. Kraven was busy trying to pull off the web in his face.

Mr Immortal in an unsteady state watched as Spidey pulled out his utility belt. Weakly, he tossed it over to Craig.

Spider-Man: H-here...

Craig grabbed it, and placed it around his belt. The not so steady minded Craig cries out.

Craig: Alright! Immortal Spider time!

He pulls out a web cartridge, and rushes towards Kraven. But with his large gash, he could only limp.

Craig: Raaaah!

Slamming it into Kraven, Mr. Immortal crushed the cartridge to explode web all over Kraven, which attached Craig to him by the arm.

Though covered in web, Kraven still possessed a free arm which he used to choke Craig.

Craig:(choking) Oh no...!

*Crunch*

Breaking Craig's neck, Kraven focused on ripping off the webbing. Slowly doing so, he frees himself from the web and from Craig who laid lifelessly on the ground.

Kraven then walked over to Rhino and Guido.

Kraven: Pathetic. Must I intervene?

Rhino: Shut it!

Guido:....

Guido:?

Craig waves from behind the two.

Craig:(wink)

Guido:(smiles)

Tossing a web cartridge, Craig watched Guido shove Rhino towards Kraven. Stumbling, he stepped onto the web cartridge, making it explode web onto both of them.

Craig: GREAT! NOW FINISH THEM OFF!!

Flexing his arms, they grew large.

Guido: "Arm Flex; Flux Push"!!!!

Thrusting them forward, he blasts the villains through a building. Craig quickly chases after with Kraven's spear. Using another cartridge, he stabs it with a spear to web up the villains.

Craig: Hazaaa! Another day saved by Mr. Immortal!!!

Craig: And friends....

Guido: Yay! I helped!

Spider-Man: Bleh...

Guido: GYAAAAA! DON'T DIE SPIDEY!!

(Elsewhere....)

Somehow saved by Luffy, Kitty began to follow her leader, until she grew suspicious.

Kitty: Wait! How do I know it's you?

Luffy:(lifts arm) Well, duh! Now let's go princess!

Kitty:!!

Simply raising his arm that had a few wrappings on it, told her all she needed to know.

Kitty:(smirks) Alright! Let's go!

Luffy turned to lead the way. Kitty then tackled Luffy to the ground, breaking the illusion to reveal it was Mysterio.

Mysterio: So you saw through my illusion....

Kitty: Yeah... Luffy has never once called me a princess.

Mysterio: I'll learn. And adapt. You'll learn this as well, for you shall never escape my wonderland!!

Phasing him and herself, the two fell into the sewers.

Mysterio: Uh-oh...

Kitty: I know all about you Mysterio! You use hologram projectors to create all your illusions.

Kitty: But you don't have any in the sewers do you?

Mysterio: Who can say?

Kitty phases his dome into the floor, trapping him face down to the sewer, where she then proceeds to kick him repeatedly.

*Thud*

Mysterio: *grunts*!?

Kitty: Is this an illusion?!

Mysterio: Per...Haps...?

*Thud*

Kitty: Wow! How realistic!

*Thud*

Mysterio: Urk, yes... It's almost as if it's real-

Kitty: Crotch shot!

Mysterio: OKAY, IT'S REAL!

Mysterio: Happy?!

Kitty: That's for projecting me in a nude state. I'm under aged jackass!

Mysterio:(high pitched) Mysterio did not know that.... He apologizes...!

She grabs the tech from his suit to turn off the illusions above so she may safely escort him out.

Sandman: Tch!

Throwing himself at Sandman, Luffy lets himself get cut by Sandman's hook. Pushing past the pain, Luffy fires off a "bazooka" at him.

Luffy: "Gum-Gum; Bazooka"!!!

*WH-BAM*

With bloody hands, Luffy was able to hit and push Flint across the room, however, with the hook in his shoulder, Sandman could swing Luffy around, and swing he did.

*Whooosh*

Slamming him into the wall, Sandman dragged Luffy all around, leaving a large groove as he does.

Luffy: Urk!?!

The sharp shards of wood and stone were quickly injuring Luffy who grabbed onto the hook and pulled it out with great effort. Luffy then stretched out his arm and used his momentum to swing straight towards Sandman who swung a wave of sand blades at the Strawhat boy.

Luffy: "Gum-Gum; Whip"!!!

*Whoo-ch*

Smearing blood on his leg, Luffy quickly destroyed the sand blades, by hitting them from the side with his whip-like kick.

Sliding in front of Sandman the two began exchanging blows.

Sandman: All I wanted to be is normal! To get my daughter back! But instead, I have to deal with a Mutant brat like you!

*Crash*

Luffy: You big wuss!

*Slam*

Luffy: People die! It's sad, but true!! There aren't any take backs!!!

*Bam*

Sandman: Screw you!

*Kablam*

Luffy: Screw you for hurting my friends!

*SMACK*

Sandman: Grrrr...! I'll do more then hurt next time!!!

Sandman: If I can't get what I want, I'll kill you! Robin! All your friends and the wall crawler!

Sandman: Hahaha! I'll take over this whole damn city! Maybe even the world! Cause Flint Marko is sick of being used!!!

*Blam*

Luffy: Tch! Raaaah!

Uppercutting Marko, Luffy launches him upward.

Luffy: *INHALE*

Inflating himself, Luffy twists his body.

Achieving liftoff as his body quickly spins to untwist himself, Luffy begins swinging his arms rapidly at Sandman who transformed his arm into a set of blades, threw a punch at Sandman.

Luffy: "Gum-Gum"....!

Punching the Sandman floor after floor through the Sanctum Sanctorum, Luffy eventually launched Sandman through the roof of the building and high into the sky.

Sandman:(mind) I'm losing to punches.... Now that brings me back...

*POOF*

Smashing into the sand dome, Sandman explodes into a puff of sand, the dome itself glowing with magical signs before beginning to crumble.

Flints's hook hit the ground, beginning the fall of the dome.

Luffy: *pant* *pant*....

Falling back down into the basement, Luffy falls flat on his back. His rubber body is immune to any damage from the fall. The young King had no time to enjoy his victory, for the entire building began to rumble.

Luffy's final attack weakened the structure and the thousands of pounds of sand raining from the sky was bringing it down.

Luffy: Uh-oh...

Robin: *sigh*

Robin: Buried alive in sand. Egyptian style isn't that-

Running up to Robin, Luffy picks her up throwing her over his shoulder.

Robin; What are you doing?! Leave me!

Luffy: Hm?

Robin: There's nothing left for me out there, but them! I have nothing left to live for, so just let me die!

Luffy:....

Luffy: I don't have to listen to you.

Robin:?!

Ignoring her, Luffy races out of the Sanctum Sanctorum, barely escaping the collapsing structure, to find the setting sun and sandy rain.

Luffy:(smiles) Shihihihih!

He collapsed onto the street from intense blood loss.

Luffy: Ugggghhh... Hungry....

(Elsewhere.....)

Sitting upon a giant glass worm, Ace stared up and watched the sand fall.

Ace:(smiles) Great job Luffy....

*Ring* *Ring*

Pulling out his phone, he flicks it to his ear.

Ace: Hey, Wanda! Ya like sand?
