~Faith's POV~

I smiled beneath my window, staring down at the happy villagers below. Children ran around, chasing butterflies in the town square. People sang wonderful melodies. How quaint, I thought. Everyone seems to be enjoying themselves. Then, a man dressed in all black wandered towards the bridge, the only entrance to the castle. I froze. No one entered the castle unless it was an emergency. Plus, I didn't even know this man! I called the guards and told them to keep an eye on the man. They nodded and left. Then, I heard yelling from the throne room. I walked out of my bedroom and into the throne room. The man in black was yelling at the guards to let him past. "What seems to be the trouble here, sir?" I said in the calmest voice I could muster. The man glared in my direction. "These unmannered brutes will not let me past," he replied. I waved the guards away. "Let him past," I told him. They nodded and stepped to the side. The man smiled and walked forward towards me. He grabbed my hand and kissed it gently. "Greetings, m'lady. My apologies for the disruption," he said calmly. I blushed. "No trouble at all, sir," I replied. He smiled and let go of my hand. He bowed. "My queen, I would like to ask you t be my bride."
