02. Ino

"Hyung, it's been two days" Jungkook ducked as a bullet whizzed over his head. "How's the girl?" he asked and Yoongi peeked over the overturned table, firing a few bullets, signaling Jimin and JHope to move forward.

"What girl?" he hid, replacing the magazine on his gun, looking at Jungkook, whose expression was beyond shocked. "The girl from the other night?" Yoongi shook his head in confusion, still looking at him questioningly.

"A bet, the girl you're supposed to turn into a lady and accompany you to the spring ball?" Jungkook tried to remind him, looking from behind the table, he found a window to change his hiding place. Yoongi reached up to cover him.

"I have no idea what you're talking about!" Yoongi yelled and Jungkook laughed, wheeling behind a pillar, opening a fierce firefight. Yoongi, Namjoon, and Taehyung moved forward as well, crouching.

Yoongi and Namjoon bumped backs around the corner of the room and Namjoon glanced over to see how far JHope and Jimin had gotten. "What girl is Jungkook talking about?" Yoongi huffed and Namjoon looked at him in disbelief.

"The one that will cost or make you three million dollars if you don't deal with her. Exactly how drunk were you that night?" Namjoon shook his head, waving at Jin who was currently in Yoongi and Jungkook's starting position.

"Keep it short, I don't remember anything after the bar" Yoongi crouched down, sliding a charger across the floor to Jungkook, who grinned and caught it deftly. "The other night Jimin challenged you to turn a beggar into a lady" Namjoon started, half showing and shooting as Taehyung, Jungkook and Jin tried to catch up with JHope and Jimin.

"She should accompany you to the spring ball, if you succeed we each pay you half a million dollars, otherwise you give us the same" Namjoon finished as he reloaded his weapon. "What?!" Yoongi stood up in shock, staring at Namjoon in astonishment.

"You really don't remember?" Yoongi shook his head, bringing his hand back and pulling the trigger. The man who had been sneaking up behind them collapsed, his eyes glazed over. "Well, congratulations!" Namjoon grinned and the two moved forward, hidden by the front lines and their men behind them.

"That was fun" Jimin stretched his shoulders and neck, throwing his jacket on the couch. Jungkook and Jin poured each other whiskey, Taehyung slumped on the couch with his phone, JHope abandoned them after the shootout, claiming he had a date. Namjoon apologized for having a job at one of their bars.

"Maria!" Yoongi shouted, taking the glass Jin handed him. A woman in her forties appeared from the kitchen. "Sir?" she wiped her hands on her apron, waiting for her boss's orders. "Maria, do we have guests?" he asked calmly and she lowered her eyebrows.

"If you mean Miss Ino, I guess we might as well call her that." she shrugged, but avoiding his gaze. "So her name is Ino?" she shrugged again and Yoongi raised an eyebrow. "I have no idea, she doesn't talk but I decided to call her that" Maria smiled wryly and Yoongi snorted.

"Would you bring her?" he turned to the couch and a grinning Jungkook settled next to Taehyung. "I'm sorry sir, but I don't think it's possible..." he stopped and looked at her questioningly. "She hasn't left the guest room since she's been here..." Yoongi huffed again, that explained why he hadn't seen her or he would have remembered the bet.

"Send someone to fetch her" he ordered and Maria nodded walking back into the kitchen. "I hope she took a bath at least" Jungkook burst out laughing, this time Taehyung and Yoongi looked at him equally curiously. "Man, she looked like a wet rat!" Jungkook muttered and Taehyung laughed.

"I can taste the sweet taste of....half a million" Jin lowered his eyebrows, looking up at the ceiling. There was a crash upstairs, loud quick footsteps, breaking glass and Yoongi, Jimin and Jungkook ran up the stairs followed by Taehyung and Jin.

"What the..." Yoongi jumped back just as one of his men stumbled backwards through the door to the guest room and hit the wall to his side. Jungkook lowered his eyebrows and flew into the bedroom with Taehyung.

"Shit!" Yoongi helped the guard to his feet and entered the room as well. Jungkook and Taehyung stood with their backs to him and he walked between them. "What was that?" Jin stood next to Yoongi, the four staring at the scene before them.

Pieces of a broken chair, a vase, and a girl whose face was obscured by her lush light brown hair, but who was clutching another vase, were in one corner of the bedroom.

"That's why Maria can't bring her" Jin huffed, trying to hold back his laughter. "Wow, what a mess" Jimin stepped forward and raised an eyebrow at the girl. "Sorry, sir, she doesn't let people touch her" Yoongi nodded back at the guard and waved him free.

"Thanks Jimin..." Yoongi huffed, walking over to the girl. "Hello, little one" he crouched slightly a few steps away from her, her head nodding like a curious cat's. "Do you want to put the vase down and talk?" Yoongi asked, trying to keep his voice soothing.

"Like I said, I can taste money" Jin grinned and Yoongi heard a stifled giggle behind him. The girl completely cowered, clutching the vase to her chest. Yoongi narrowed his eyes at the debris at her feet, was she really the cause of it? She looked more like a scared kitten.

Yoongi moved a little closer without standing up, holding out his hand. "Come on, baby, give me the vase?" he gritted his teeth and she stood up against the wall, but her head remained low. "Hyung, you're scaring her, smile a little!" Jungkook grinned and Yoongi rolled his eyes.

"Shut up, kid!" Yoongi hissed softly, looking over his shoulder, then turned back to the girl, looking her over. She wasn't tall, but in the clothes that Maria had obviously given her, her body looked slim, thin, but well put together.

"She looks like a scared cat cornered, she's both scared and scowling menacingly" Taehyung stated in a low voice, trying not to scare her more than she already was. "I can see that myself" Yoongi stood up, she was definitely at least up to his forehead, even though she was standing on her toes at the moment.

"Alright let's do this" Yoongi smiled slightly and she tilted her head to the side again. "Give me the vase and I'll grant you one wish?" he asked and she nodded uncertainly. He took another step, she stepped forward as well, she was barely up to his nose now, shorter than he thought.

Something caught her eye behind him, something that startled her and she jumped back again, clutching the vase. "Don't move, goddamn it!" Yoongi growled and everyone behind him fell silent. "They won't hurt you, little one, I won't let them" Yoongi assured her softly and she seemed to relax slightly again.

"That's right, baby, look at me" he took a short step and she let the vase go slightly, Yoongi stretched his hand out a little more and she carefully placed the vase in his palm. "Good girl" he held out his other hand as well.

"Trust me, I won't hurt you..." she shook her head. "If you don't come with me, I can't fulfill your wish" she seemed to think, turning to the window. Yoongi followed her gaze, it was raining outside and heavily, he hadn't even realized.

"You want out in the rain?" he asked and she turned to him, nodding slightly. "Okay, shall we go?" she hesitated, but her fingers slid across his palm and he stepped back slightly, leaving the vase on the ground and careful where he stepped, he backed towards the door, motioning for the others to make way.

Yoongi was leading her to the living room terrace like he was dealing with an unhinged, scared mare. Carefully and silently, the others followed at a distance, curious as to where this game of taming between Yoongi and the girl would lead.

He blinked as heavy raindrops hit his face. The girl stepped onto the terrace and raised her face to the rainy sky. "Holy shit!" Yoongi huffed, her hair falling back to reveal her face.

She stood like that for a few minutes, then looked at him. Painted, slightly arched thin eyebrows, long thick eyelashes covered the most beautiful hazel eyes he had ever seen live. An aristocratic straight nose, high delicate cheekbones, full juicy lips the color of a ripe strawberry, and all this, on a perfectly sculpted face.

Yoongi raised an eyebrow at the boys who stared at her drooling. "I guess I should actually thank you, Jimin" he grinned, returning his gaze to his new acquisition and project. "They call you Ino, but what's your real name?" he asked softly and she lowered her brows, wrinkling her nose.

The pleasure that had been written on her face at the feeling of the rain disappeared. She stared intently into his face as if she was trying to remember something. Her fingers tightened on his arm and Yoongi felt her tense. "It's okay, baby, you'll tell me when you're ready" Yoongi reassured her softly and she bit her lip as she turned to the others.

"Damn it, Yoongi, if you don't want the bet, I'll take her!" Jin growled and the girl glared at him. "I...I don't..." she trailed off and turned back to Yoongi. "I don't...remember" her voice was a sigh, her wet face flushed, she pulled her hand from his and stepped back, looking around.

In the distance, a flash of lightning flashed and a deafening thunder pierced the silence that had fallen, broken only by the sound of rain, which seemed to want to mask the girl's nervousness, increasing with each passing minute.

Yoongi watched her, wondering what to do with her. How do you deal with a person who claims they can't remember their name? More interestingly, why didn't she remember? A new flash lit up her face and his eyes widened in astonishment. On her temple, right between her ear and her hair, she had a scar like a cut.

A blow to the head could be the cause of amnesia, but this scar looked more like something very sharp than a blow. What exactly had Jimin gotten him into?
