Today I'm going to take my beautiful Ashton out. I looked over his schedule with Devon to see if it were possible to take him out and when. So after a week's worth of endless meetings and gatherings, he was free for a whole day and I plan on making it perfect for him. I already talked to Glenn and Keith about my plans so now I just have to talk to Ashton.

He has been spending time with us here and there which I understand, he's been really busy but he does try for an hour an evening to have dinner and tea or coffee over dessert with just us four. It's a nice relaxing time and I enjoy every moment of it but I need more. I know I have no one but myself to blame for the lack of a bond with him and I have done everything I can to be the perfect mate for Ashton. I just hope he sees that.

"What has you so nervous?" I jumped slightly at hearing Ashton's voice from behind me. I turned around and was stunned in my spot to see him in a dark blue suit, a yellow dress shirt and his hair styled but his smile, his beautiful bright stunning smile is what I couldn't look away from.

"You honestly. Um I was wondering if you wanted to go somewhere with me? I checked your schedule and knew you were busy all week and only have today free and I know you have Keith and Glenn as mates too but I, I want to spend time alone, with you." I was so nervous, a new feeling for me and it showed. He could tell just by looking at me.

"I'd love to Matty." He said and I shivered, loving the sound of the nickname he named me once before.

"I love when you call me that and I always hated when people would." I said and he smiled so beautifully it captured my heart. I extended my hand and he took it and intertwined our fingers and I led us out of the castle.

"So what did you have planned for us?" Ashton asked and I noticed his guards were behind us the moment we stepped outside, I didn't see them until now, sneaky.

"Well I was thinking I could show you my restaurant and we can cook lunch together, pack it up and go on a lunch date somewhere and talk, get to know one another. After that, that's a surprise." I winked at him and he blushed a soft shade of pink.

"Ok, that sounds wonderful." He said and swung our hands gently as we walked down the path to the gate of the castle to go into town. A town that is coming to life.

"It's so much better now, isn't it?" I asked and he looked over at me and looked confused and I chuckled at how cute he looked.

"The town, it's much more lively. There's more to do now and the people seem happier." I clarified and he hummed.

"They certainly do. The changes are like this all over the country, it's remarkable really. I'm thrilled to be a major part in it all. I feel proud my people are doing better, having better lives and seeing how content they are with how things are changing. The next major thing will be cell phone towers and electronic stores all over selling them and other things." He said and people greeted him as we passed and I just watched him, awed by him.

When we got to the restaurant I opened the door and he walked in and gasped softly looking at everything. I took his hand again and took him into the kitchen.

"Wow!" He bounced around looking at everything and when he looked at me his smile was so bright and his eyes showed so much happiness I lost my breath for a moment.

"Want to cook?" I asked and he nodded rapidly and I chuckled.

"I have dreamed of cooking in a kitchen like this." He said and I mentally cheered at my plan.

We got ingredients out to make a simple pasta dish and shrimp to add to it.

"So can I ask a personal question Matty." He asked as he was seasoning the sauce.

"Nothing is off limits so ask away." I replied as I was checking the homemade noodles that were cooking on a low heat.

"You and Keith, you aren’t mates so what do you do when you want to be intimate with him since it hurts me when you do?"

"We don't, we don't even kiss anymore because we are trying to do better by you. We have been together for a long time so yea it's hard to not want to be with him but it's not as hard as knowing you were hurt. Why do you ask?"

"Because I have a way for you to be able to be with him and not hurt me."

"What? How?" I hope he's not going to reject me, that's the only thing I can think of. I felt my heart rate pick up and I was breathing hard.

"Hey calm down, I'm not going to hurt you Matty." Ashton said and rubbed my arms to get me to calm down and it worked instantly.

"I talked to that witch and had her make me an elixir to take only once and it will work forever. It will basically stop me from feeling pain when you and Keith have sex, just you two though. If you sleep with anyone else well I'll feel it and then I'll kill you and bury you in my garden." He smirked and I shook my head and chuckled.

"I have no idea how I got so lucky, you didn't have to do that and knowing what we did, you still put us first and I have no idea why."

"Because you love one another, you may not be mates but you have a bond and you love one another and sex is one way to express and show that love, on a physical level. I don't want you and him to not be together so I drank it last week. It takes a week to actually work so I waited to tell you. I don't want you two to not be together any longer but I would love it if you waited to actually have sex until it's with me there, Glenn as well. If you were wondering why you didn't feel any pain when Glenn and I have sex it's because I'm with one of my mates so you won't feel a thing. I want you to be able to be how you were with Keith before you met me." Is he seriously saying this? He's a fucking saint.

"You are too perfect for words Ashton. I don't know what to say." I said and he smiled, walked over to me and softly kissed my cheek, making sparks shoot through me and I felt my body waking up from the simple kiss. His lips felt so soft and warm, I wanted to feel them on my own.

"Come on, let's finish this because I'm hungry and you promised a day for me." He said and went back to the sauce and I returned my attention to the noodles but my thoughts kept going to what Ashton said and the kiss.

We finished the food and I packed some fruit and cake for dessert and he grabbed some bottles of tea and water and put them in a bag and we left.

"I found this spot when we first got here and I thought one day I wanted to show it to you. It's a little ways so do you want to take the long way or the short way through the pack?"

"Short, I told you I'm hungry and the food smells amazing." He said so we walked to the pack and had light conversation about what we have been doing these past few months, mostly him telling me about his lessons and how much he loves his life, how happy he is here.

"Matthias, this is beautiful." Ashton slowly turned around and looked at the view of the town before us and the many trees on our sides, the bright sky open above us and a pond.

"I had a place like this back home so the first chance I got, I explored to see if there was something like it here and this is the closest I could find." I said and put the blanket I had under my arm down and put the food on it and sat to watch him look around, to take it all in.

"It's beautiful." He whispered and I smiled, he looked like an angel in the sunlight like this.

"Well come on sit, the foods gonna get cold." I said and he grabbed my hand and I held it as he sat on his knees and opened the bag of food and handed me one and we opened the containers and he took a bite and moaned softly and the sound was sexy as hell.

"Good?" I asked and he nodded and took another bite. I joined him and we ate in a comfortable silence. The day was warm and the company was hot.

"So your change is in a couple of days, how are you feeling about it?" I asked as we were now sitting on the edge of the pond with our feet in the water.

"I'm nervous but excited. I never imagined this would end up being my life, not after all I have been through so to have a family, finding out I'm going to be King and the next Alpha King on top of that, it's overwhelming but my parents have been amazing and have been teaching me along the way, have been helping with my nervousness with it all. I have been working on connecting with my wolf and I can feel something inside so I know he's there, just waiting to come out."

"Well you have us to help with that and one way I think will help is if Hati helped."

"Your wolf. I would love to meet him."

"He would love to meet you too sweetheart." I said and he blushed. I slowly raised my hand and softly touched his cheek and he leaned into my touch and closed his eyes and sighed softly.

"Have I told you before that you are my dream guy?"

"What an old grump is your dream guy?"

"No, an older, wiser, sexy man with dark hair, blue eyes, beautiful smile, tall, muscular and a body to die for. The moment I saw you, I wanted you and I didn't understand why and I thought it was wrong to have those thoughts and feelings because you were with Keith but now I know it was right because your my mate and the longer you are around me, the more I have been craving to be with you, to touch you, to kiss you." He said as he started to lean into me so I stayed where I was to see what he was going to do.

"To feel your hands on my skin, how soft and warm they must feel, how sweet and delicate your lips feel, how strong and powerful your body feels." He whispered and connected our lips and I froze, my first kiss with my mate and I froze. I couldn't move, couldn't get my brain to think of kissing him back because it felt so damn good, so right, and I felt so complete inside.

He must have thought I didn't want to kiss him because he stopped and was about to move and I finally got out of my shock and grabbed him and held him so he wouldn't move and kissed him with everything I had in me, all the love I had for him. The sparks melted my insides and I felt weak all over, electricity soaring to my very core and I wanted to feel like this for the rest of my life. A feeling of love and pure bliss.

"Wow." We both said breathless and slightly panting, foreheads together and smiling like idiots.

"That was definitely better than in my dreams." He said and kissed me again but it wasn't as long as our first perfect kiss.

"Let me meet Hati." He sat back and we stood up. I wanted to tease him so I slowly took my shift off and when I had my arms above my head, I heard a soft moan and smirked to myself and took it all the way off and threw it at him and he caught it while chuckling. I unbuttoned my pants and slowly slid them down my legs along with my briefs and stepped out of them and looked over at Ashton clearly checking me out and I could smell how turned on he was. His eyes lit up with a passion and fire I hadn't seen before and he was biting his lip. I shifted before he could see how turned on I was and he gasped when he saw Hati.

He walked over to us and we stood tall, waiting on him. He stopped right in front of us and lifted his hand and started to run our head and he smiled looking into our eyes.

"Goodness you are beautiful Hati. It's nice to meet you. I can't wait to go on a run with you mate." Ashton spoke as he ran his hand down our back slowly and took his time in looking us over. Hati was soaking up all the affection our mate was bringing us, purring and leaning into Ashton, wanting to feel him.

"So, since you can't talk to me right now, do you want to shift back and you take control so we can talk?"

"Yes, let me spend time with our mate." Hati purred and I couldn't help but chuckle but it sounded like huffing to Ashton so I shifted and let Hati keep control so he can spend time with our mate.

"Hello mate." Hati spoke and Ashton shivered, you couldn't miss it.

"Damn your voice is so much deeper, huskier, and Sevier. Hi mate."

"You are gorgeous, do you understand that? I have been wanting to meet you since that night. I want to apologize for my humans doing, I tried to stop him and I know Keith's wolf tried to stop him also. I can never do enough to make it right but I will do everything I can to make you happy for the rest of my days. Please give me a chance to prove I love you. I have waited all my life, hundreds of years for you and it was such a lonely life. The moment I met you, I came alive for the first time since I was born and I wanted to tell you who we were, Matthias also wanted to tell you but he had more restraint than I did. I want to show you all the love I have inside for you, to shower you with affection, to worship you, from now until the end of time. I love you Ashton." Hati said all that looking into Ashtons eyes and he even had tears in our eyes as he spoke. I had no idea he felt like that, he never once told me or let me feel his pain.

"I'm so sorry Hati, I had no idea. Why didn't you ever tell me how you felt?"

"Because you had enough to deal with with your parents and you were in love with Keith, wanted him so who am I to keep you from being happy? I have my mate now and nothing is going to stand in my way of having him."

"You still should have told me, I'll make it up to you somehow, I promise."

"Please don't cry Hati, you didn't do anything wrong and I'm sorry you were so lonely, I know how that feels. I would love to get to know you, to spend time with you, to know what it's like to have your love. You seem like a sweet caring wolf and I can't wait to see where we are headed. Why don't we start by getting to know one another, I want to know everything about you." Ashton took our hand and started walking after we got dressed.

We walked the forest hand in hand and Ashton told Hati all about himself and Hati did the same. I also joined in the conversation because we all three need to bond and I think today was a very good start to doing just that.
