"I have no idea how you feel about not having them here because they are just your mate's, I feel complete and happy, so damn happy and whole because I have my mate. If there is any part of you that doesn't feel complete and whole, you feel lonely even if I'm here, you have a longing to be with them, work it out. If you don't feel any of that, let them go. I know it's easier said than done but my beautiful Ashton, I want you to be happy, truly happy and complete. I love you, you know I do and I want you to do whatever it takes to be happy. "You gave me some things to think about, thank you. I love you Glenn, so much. I have something to ask you and it's important so I want you to think it over before you give me an answer." I said and he nodded for me to continue.

"When I'm crowned King, will you rule by my side as my husband?"

"What? You want to get married?" He asked, shocked more than anything and I giggled.

"Yes, I want to be your husband and you be mine. I had a whole thing planned in my head on how I wanted to ask you but now seemed like the perfect time. You could wait on answering me and I can go along with my plan, to make it more memorable. I want you to think of your answer though. We may be mate's but for you to be considered royalty, we need to be married and no that isn't the only reason why I want to marry you. There's a whole list of reasons that I will tell you when I do an official proposal with my parents and Alpha Adon at dinner one evening. I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you as my husband." I said and kissed him, deeply. He pulled me closer to him and our tongues danced in a sensual way and I wanted him badly.

"I am papa, I'm really happy. We even planned for a couple of days for Glenn's wolf and I to spend time together, to strengthen our bond. I also talked to him about getting married. He hasn't answered yet, which I told him to think about . I also told him I plan on making an official proposal so he may be waiting until then."

"And what have you decided about Matthias and Keith?" He asked and I sighed.

"I haven't had time to think about that given what happened the last few days. They were far from my mind. Glenn gave me some things to think about so I just need some time. They will be here before I know it but that doesn't mean I have to decide before they get here. Them bring here won't make me lean toward being with them. Matthias wants to move, that's his choice. I'm not making him do this and as nice as it is, I won't be pushed into being with them. They hurt me papa, knowingly hurt me. How do I even begin to understand let alone forgive them for that? Months of pain papa. I know I was just friends with Keith and was getting to know Matthias and they knew I was their mate and didn't even tell me but does that justify what they had done all this time?" You have our full support on whatever that may be. We love you Ashton and we will be here for you through it all." Papa got up from his chair and hugged me. I felt my heart breaking and I wanted to be happy, to Lord help me for thinking this but to see them again.

"I actually miss them, what the hell is wrong with me for missing them after they hurt me?" I asked and he huffed and I chuckled.

"It's the bond and that they were nice to you, Keith saved you and helped you, gave you a chance and was a friend to you, a true friend. You have a bond with him, it may not be as strong as it was but it's there and somewhere in your heart you love him. You slowly feel in love without even realizing it. That's how the bond starts and how it is and it will only get stronger."

"How do you know so much about bonds?"

"Well I have been King for a long time."

"You sound like you're talking about hundreds of years." I said and he didn't even smile.

"Your mother and I are wolves. I'm not just the King of the country, I'm the Alpha King. I just hide it. Why do you think it was so easy for Matthias to obey me without me actually giving him an Alpha's command, or you for that matter? We're not just preparing you to take over as King but with your lessons on wolves, you are to be the next Alpha King. You also have another sibling but he left years ago, told us he wanted nothing to do with being King, he's younger than you. You also have your wolf, we just need to wake him up. The venom Matthias gave you and your mating won't do it. It requires a lot and I would have told you when you were sick but you could have died. You need to be healthy because it is a very painful process and it takes a few days for an Alpha Kings wolf to awaken. Now that you are healthy, we can start whenever you are ready. I know it's a lot to process but son, you can do this. You are ready."

Me, the next Alpha King? Oh my goodness this is crazy!

"I see you told him." Mama said and papa nodded.

"One day at a time son, you are stronger than you think and you will make a fine Alpha King. We kept who we are a secret because of being attacked years ago. We didn't lie about that, we were overrun and had to leave. Once we found you, we knew we could restore order in the country and with the wolves. The only other wolf who knows is Alpha Adon. He will work with you alongside us and once Glenn knows to help call your wolf. Once that happens, you will grow and gain a lot more muscle and you will be the most powerful wolf alive." Mama said proudly and I felt my chest fill with pride at her words.

"Why did you hide who you are?"

"We were still targets son, we had no choice until the threat was taken care of and we just decided to stay hidden even when we were safe. Now you don't need to worry, things are peaceful and the wolves need a leader, that leader is you." Papa said looking at me.

"And those other officials and rulers, are they also wolves?"

"Yes and no. The officials aren't, the rulers are but you are the only Alpha King, no one else but you and your father can claim that title and it's not something that is given, it is something you are born with." Mama explained and I nodded, taking in all this information.

Now it makes sense why Glenn wanted me to take him, even if we didn't realize it at the time. This is just beyond anything I could ever imagine how my life would have turned out to be. It's amazing.

"Since I have a male mate, what will his official title be? I may have two others but Glenn is the one who I want and choose to be by my side when I become King."

"The Alpha King's mate, there is no other title since he's male. He can't really be the Alpha Queen like I am but he will be called Luna. I will teach him all I know so he will be prepared by the time you take over both titles." Mama said and that made sense I guess. She knows more than I do so I trust her judgment on this.

"I'm going to take a walk and think about all of this. I'll be back before dinner. I love you mama and papa." I gave them a hug and a kiss and they told me they loved me and I walked out of the room.

Glenn is going to freak out in the best way possible when he finds out about this and I can't wait to tell him!
