"Wow, you...you look amazing." I breathed out when I saw Ashton a week and a few days later after he was fully cured. He still had no hair but he had back his color, his eyes were even brighter than before and he just radiated beauty all over him.

He was in the ballroom with Glenn, his parents and a few of the castle's staff along with his personal guard, standing at the entrance of the ballroom, arms crossed over his chest watching everything closely.

"Thank you, for saving my life Matthias. If it weren’t for you, my parents would be planning a funeral for me instead of a party. I am indebted to you." Hopefully he still feels that way after I talk to him.

"You won't be saying that once you learn so truths." Glenn muttered quietly but I heard him.

"What did you say Glenn?" Ashton asked and Glenn gave him a smile.

"Nothing beautiful, just thinking to myself about the decorations for the party." Glenn said and Ashton smiled at him.

"Mama is the perfect person to ask about that, she has a book of all kinds of party stuff if you want to look at it to get some ideas." Ashton said and Glenn nodded.

"As you wish, Prince Ashton." Glenn said and Ashton blushed.

"You don't owe me anything Ashton. Your health is more important than anything. I'm just happy you're better." I said, he smiled and Glenn scoffed.

"You got something to say pretty boy?" I glared at Glenn and he glared right back.

"Not to you but if my mate doesn't know the whole truth today from you, I will tell him myself." Glenn threatened and I wanted to choke him out again but Ashton is in the room, I don't need him to be even more afraid of me.

He hasn't even moved from his spot near a window since I walked in, telling me he is still afraid of me. Ashton looked between us for a few seconds and bit hip thumb nervously.

"What don't I know?" Ashton spoke up and his parents tensed up while looking at him and me.

"Can we talk, alone?" I asked, hoping he says yes but he looked pretty hesitant and slowly shook his head no.

"No, the last time we talked you insulted me and after that when I see you, you almost killed Glenn so whatever you have to say, you can say it here. If it's private they can go to the other side of the room but they aren't leaving it." He left no room to argue. His parents walked to the other side of the room but Glenn stayed by his side, wrapping his arm around Ashton and held him to his side.

"At least let him sit, please?" I asked and Glenn reached behind him and sat Ashton down on a chair he had moved for Ashton. I sighed and I thought of how to start this off and looked at Ashton to take in his features because I don't know if this will be the last time I will see him.

"You remember when I said that Keith and I were your mate's?" I asked and he nodded with a smile.

"Yes, I remember but you two are together so are you mate's as well?" He asked and I shook my head.

"Not fated mate's no, we and Glenn are only mated to you. I'm sure you know by now what mate's are and the bond, the pull, the need to be with your mate?"

"Yes, Glenn told me and I actually learned a lot from my lessons since we have an alliance with the pack around here and meeting them myself. So if you and Keith aren't mate's and you both know I am your mate, why didn't you tell me?"

"We wanted to wait until you knew us better, had a stronger bond with us before we told you."

"Why did you say those things the last time we saw one another? If I am your mate, why hurt me?" He asked and I knew he would.

"Honestly? When I saw you shirtless, sweating, and panting like you were, your past came to mind and I opened my mouth before I could even stop myself from saying it. I'm sorry I said that, I didn't mean it." I was slowly making my way towards him and he stiffened a little bit but Glenn rubbed his back and he calmed down instantly.

"Isn't there something else you need to explain?" Glenn asked after a few minutes of silence and I wanted to slap him.

"Yes Glenn." I gritted out and he glared at me.

"What? What else is there?" Ashton asked looking at us.

"When someone has a mate and they meet one another, the bond starts right away. If one mate does things with someone who isn't their mate, the other will feel it." I said and he looked even more confused.

"I don't understand." Ashton said and Glenn sighed, looking at me like get on with it.

"Since Keith and I aren't mate's, when we had sex, you felt it only it wasn't pleasure, it was pain because the bond doesn't know any difference, I may have been dating Keith, well it's more serious than that but the point is, the bond you had with us felt that we were cheating on you since Keith and I aren't mate's. You felt pain when we had sex, each time." I said and Ashton was thinking hard and once he figured it out, he gasped loudly and looked into my eyes and I wanted the floor to swallow me.

"You mean to tell me you both knew I would feel pain from you having sex and you both did it anyway?! Are you fucking serious?! I felt like I was going to die! I almost did die! I was already in pain from the cancer and I was going out of my mind trying to understand where that other pain was coming from and it was from my own damn mate's?! I can't believe you would do that! What kind of man are you to willingly hurt me, your supposed mate?! From all I have learned about mate's is that they don't hurt their mate, they would rather die than to even think about hurting their mate but I guess I was never important enough to you if you could hurt me as badly as you did. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for saving my life but I can't do this, if you put me through that kind of pain and knew about it, what else could you do to me that would hurt me? I want you gone, you and Keith need to leave my home, immediately. Do not contact me. I will send something for my gratitude for you saving my life because I will not be indebted to you for long. Get out of my sight and out of my home." Ashton said with such authority when he was giving me orders that I couldn't help but smile.

He told me to leave, but he didn't reject me. That's all I wanted so I'll do everything I can, even if it's to move here. I didn't say anything and as I turned out of the doorway I stopped when I heard Glenn speaking and noticed the King and Queen had walked out of another door.

"My beautiful Ashton, you have every right to make them leave, go home and do whatever it is they do, spend time healing from everything but as much as I hate to say this because of what they did, they were made for you for a reason. They are your mate's and you need one another. I'm not saying give them a chance now and forgive them, hell no. They deserve to go through hell for what they did to you. If they come back and you still can't forgive them and move on from what they did to you, reject them. I will support you no matter what you decide, you know that. I won't push you into doing anything relating to them, what you decide is your choice alone, no one else's. I love you Prince Ashton Blake Cooke, now and forever." Glenn said and I heard them kissing and Ashton groaning softly and Glenn moaning. As much as I wanted to break them apart, Glenn in a way helped me and he does seem like a good man and it seems he cares for Ashton deeply.

I walked to the Kings office and knocked on his door. His deep voice said to enter so I opened the door and bowed my head. He may not be my King yet but it's still respectful and I need to get in their good graces starting somewhere.

"What can I do for you Matthias?" He asked, not even looking up from whatever it is he's doing.

"I wanted to see if you could put me in touch with Alpha Adon." I said and that made him look at me.

"Whatever reason for?" He questioned, looking at me suspiciously.

"Well Ashton isn't going to be leaving here, ever I'm sure to live elsewhere and I live in America. We're mates and even if it doesn't seem like it at the moment, I do want him. I want to talk to Alpha Adon and see about moving my pack here, to join his if possible. If not I'll claim unclaimed land and build a packhouse there and everything we will need. This is the first step to making things right with Ashton and I can't do that being thousands of miles away."

"You are willing to give up your entire life back in America, move here on hope that my son forgives you for all you’ve done? Leave everything you know behind for one man?"

"Yes King Asher, I'd do anything to prove how sorry I am and how much I want my mate. I have waited over half my life for my mate and when I met him, I felt at peace until my mouth opened one evening. Things from that moment are things I will regret because I hurt Ashton. I love Keith, and have been with him for a year before we met Ashton and I couldn't turn my feelings off for Keith. I don't regret loving him, I'll never regret that but I do wish I could rewrite the past with Ashton and do things differently. You may hate us for what we have done to your son and the hate is well deserved but I won’t give him up, not without a fight. I know actions speak louder than words but this situation needs both words and actions and my first actions are to move here, to prove I want Ashton."

"Well right now you need to do as my son said and leave. There is an inn in town you can stay at. I will contact Adon and tell him where you are and why you want to meet with him. Once you meet him and talk about whatever you need to, don't come back here. Give my son time. He has a lot to process and sort out his thoughts and feelings. I know what my wife told Keith and I agree with her, I want Ashton to reject you both but it's not my life nor my decision, it's Ashton’s. He has been through so much is his life already and I only want him to be happy, if it's with Glenn, you, and Keith, wonderful, if it's just with Glenn, still wonderful because he is doing what makes him happy and that is all any of us should ever want for him. Now go pack your things and go to the inn, I will let you know what Adon says." He said and he would make one hell of an Alpha but I guess in a way he is, he is the King and has to take care of his people and protect them, provide for them and do what is necessary for them.

"Oh and Matthias?" He called me as I was about to stand.

"Yes sir?"

"You even think about sleeping with someone else and hurt my son again, I will cut your dick and balls off." He said calmly but I could see he was as serious as he could ever be and I gulped.

"Yes sir. Thank you for your hospitality and I will be gone soon." I said and left his office, with an image of him actually cutting my dick off. Hati didn't seem to care that the King threatened me, he has been against me sleeping with Keith ever since we met Ashton, saying Keith isn't our mate we should only be intimate with Ashton even if he likes Keith, he's not Hatis mate, Ashton is.

I went to pack my stuff and told Keith we had to go, I know Ashton didn't say Keith had to leave but I assume when he told me to leave, he meant both of us. Keith didn't put up a fight and packed his stuff as well. Ajax, Gregory, and their mates and kids left a few days ago. They had to get home so it was only Keith and I.

Once we were packed we took our stuff outside and a guard was there waiting for us and we put our stuff in the SUV and with a heavy heart, we left to go to town to the inn.

"King Asher told me to pass along that Alpha Adon will meet you this evening for dinner at the diner across the street from the inn." The guard said once we got to town.

"Tell him thank you for me." I said and he nodded. He parked in front of a cute little inn and we got out, got our stuff, and checked in.

When we made it to the room, I sat on the bed and told Keith everything Ashton and King Asher had told me and what Glenn had said. He seemed surprised at Glenn's words but also understood, much like with what Ashton and King Asher said.

"So you really want to move all the way here?" Keith asked after I told him my plans.

"Yes, I do. I love you you know that I do but Ashton is my mate and I need to be near him, to be with him, and being here is one step closer to making that happen. We messed up Keith and we need to make things right, no matter how long it takes or what it takes. He is to be King, he can't move back to America so this is the only option we have."

"Can you believe that, a King? I never would have thought that poor homeless boy I saw sleeping on a bench was a Prince. When things get better with all of us and we are happy and in a good place, I wonder what we will be to him since he will be King. I agree with your plans, and all you said. We have to do whatever it takes to make things right and if moving here is one of those things, we'll do it."

"The only person who deserves to be by Ashton’s side when he is King is Glenn. He has been there for Ashton since the night they met and was honest about who he was and that they were mates. I won't ever feel worthy of ruling by his side, no matter if he forgives us, that's something we don't deserve." I said honestly and he nodded.

"You're right, Glenn has been absolutely amazing to him. I miss him Matthias." Keith said and a tear fell from his eye.

"I know, I miss him too. Come on let's get settled in and take a walk? We can get a feel of the place we will spend the rest of our lives at." I said and wiped his cheeks.

We took a shower, separately and got ready to go explore the town when the front desk called with a time to meet Alpba Adon so instead of walking around now, we have an important meeting to attend.

A meeting that will hopefully change our lives for the better.
