Carla's POV

Beep beep

I yawned as I slam my hand down on my alarm clock.

I read the time presented on it 8:00 crap I'm late!

I get out of bed,change my clothes grabbing my bag as I run out the door.

"Danner is gonna have my head for being late!" I think to myself.

After what felt like years I finally arrived at school I walk in rush up the stairs.

As I open the classroom all eyes go on to me I feel under pressure for a moment.

"Mrs Santiago are you aware you are an hour late to my class?" Dr.Danner remarks looking away from the blackboard.

"No I thought I was an hour early." I want to snap back.

I take a deep breath and look at him all eyes remain on me.

"Sorry I was up all night doing homework for your class so I could get a good grade for test." I say sarcasm lacing my voice.

"Sit down Mrs.Santiago and with that attitude you bought yourself lunch detention." Dr.Danner says sighing as he picks up the chalk to continue the lesson.

I sit down next to Penny and lay my head down.

"Long night of killing?" Penny ask worry in her voice.

"You have no idea I was out till 3 it's unfair I'm out here saving the world and still have to go to class." I say forcing myself to sit up.

"I'm sorry I couldn't have done it I had homework." Penny says looking really sad.

I knew she meant it Penny cares so much about her grades more than anyone I knew.

"It's fine Pennles I just really need sleep." I say smiling.

Penny pats my back and goes back to focusing on the lesson.

I start listening to Dr.Danner go on and on about plants for what felt like hours when tap on my shoulder takes me back to reality.

"Hey Carla I know you're tired but we have a mission after school." Jerome says slightly smiling at me.

"Okay cuz I'll be there." I say picking up my back and smiling at my cousin.

The bell rang and I walked down the stairs math time with Mrs.Applegate this should be fun.

At least I get Lily I can talk to her.

I get to math and sit down next to Lily and Cindy.

Cindy and Lily exchange glances and both sigh.

"Carla please tell me you got the mission done this time." Cindy says fixing her lipgloss in her small hand mirror.

"Is she really talking about that one time again?!?" I think to myself.

"Yes Cindy that's why I look like crap right now!" I say sounding irritated.

Cindy and Lily look at each other again Lily smiles and looks at me.

"Carla I know you're tired but school is almost over then we have one more mission and then you can go to sleep." Lily says rubbing my back.

"Okay?" Lily says smiling at me as Cindy puts her thumbs up.

"Okay thanks Lils." I say as Mrs.Applegate comes into the classroom.

"Alright class hand me your homework so I can grade it." Mrs.Applegate states walking around the room.

I hand her my paper and sigh.

Lord this is gonna be a long day
