(The next day)

(Y/N's POV)

I was heading towards home from school to get ready to go to my first day at the Kids club. I changed into some basic clothes like some shorts, shirt and clean shoes. Once I did, I went downstairs to grab a snack to munch at. After that, I went to my car to head on over to the library.

20 minutes later....

I walked to the children's section of the library upstairs and was looking for any clues that will tell me where is it. I looked up and saw the Kid's club sign and I knew that this was the place. I went inside and was greeted by another volunteer my age.

Boy- Sup dude, are you here one of the new Kids club volunteer?

Y/N- Why, yes I am. Names Y/N, Nice to meet you.

Boy- Same to you, the name is Nate.

We shook hands and walked over to the main section of club where I assume is where they all meet together. I looked around in curiousness and I see a Small TV with a blue-ray player, some whiteboards and many other things. Overall its a simple environment but a nice one too, I watched the kids some more then Nate walked over to me. 

Nate- So, what do you think of the place?

Y/N- Its a nice place for a club, cant wait to start already.

Nate- Thats great, now we gotta introduce you to the kids. Between you and me, I think they are gonna like you already.

Y/N- You think so?

Nate- Yup, I think you have that friendly and fun vibe that goes perfect here. Besides all the kids are really nice and are quite bit mature for their ages. But anyway, lets go meet them now.

I walked with Nate to the area where there is this little indoor playground with huge colorful rugs , various toys and more. I saw the kids playing together and one of them is one I already knew from yesterday when I signing paperwork. The minute I walked towards the play area, she turned her head around and smiled at me. She waved at me and I did the same and she heading to my direction.

Girl- Hi mister! Its nice to see you again!

Y/N- You too! Say, I don't think we ever said our names to each other yesterday. I'm Y/N and I'm going to be your new buddy here at Kid's club.

Girl- Thats wonderful! I'm Amaris and its good to have you here! *Giggle*

She then took my hand and was dragging me towards the play area and I looked back at Nate with a confused look and he just shrugged at me with a confused smile as well. Amaris took me to the other kids and it looks like there are six kids that are three girls and three boys. 

Amaris- Hey everyone! Meet Y/N, the new guy!

Then everyone stopped playing and gather around looking at me with amazement and awe for some reason but whatever Im just glad to meet the kids I'll be spending time with for the next three months.

Boy- Hello Y/N, Im Liam and nice to meet you. 

We shook hands and the next boy walked up.

Boy 2- Hi Mr.Y/N, so good to meet someone new around here. My name is Justin.

We clapped hands like we were instantly cool. He went to the back of the crowd and the last boy walked to me and already hugged my legs like I was his big brother who just came back from the military or something.

Boy 3- I'm P-patrick Y/N, good to meet you.

He didn't let go of me till after a few more seconds till he ran back to the crowd while hiding behind Justin. I looked at them a bit confused.

Justin- Ahh don't worry about Y/N, he's just the shyest one here and tends to come to me when he needs a shield. 

Y/N- Oh alright then. Well, who's next?

Then one of the girls raised her hand to stood on front.

Girl- Im Nora Y/N, I hope we can be friends!

Then the last girl came up and she already was happy about something.

Girl 2- Hi there Y/N, my name is Lucy. And welcome to our club!

Alright alright, looks like thats everybody and I already met Amaris so thats good. 

Y/N- Its all good to meet you all! Hope we all have fun over the next few months cause I think I already have all sorts of fun things we can do.

They seem excited about it and so am I. I saw Nate walking towards us to probably say a few things.

Nate- Well, looks like you already like Y/N here correct?

They all nodded their heads in excitement.

Nate- Thats good, now me and him are here going to make sure everyone here has a good time and get along amongst ourselves. Got anything to say Y/N about this adventure?

Man, Nate already giving me the spotlight? Cool, I see you Nate.

Y/N- Uhh...once more, so glad to be here and hope we can all be friends. Thats all from me folks!

Kids- YAY!! 

The kids made it back to the play area and Nate and I took that time to walk back to the main area. 

Nate- Man, you nailed it right out of the ball park. 

Y/N- *Shy chuckles* Uh well, I guess talent.

Nate- Must of been, say do you have any older or younger siblings?

Y/N- Sadly no, I have always been a single child as my parents didn't want to deal with another quote on quote "Little gremlin". 

Nate- Damn.

Y/N- Yeah but its cool, my parents and I are tight and are actually glad I'm doing something else instead of sleeping at home after I get home from school. 

Nate- Same except for me is getting off my Xbox. 

Y/N- Man that stinks but hey do you have the series X?

Nate- Yup.

Y/N- Dude lucky, I still can't find one and I'm too damn broke to afford one anyways. 

Kate- Well thank the power of pre-ordering.

Y/N- Man *Laughs* screw you.

I playfully punched his arm and he did the same for me and we started to chat about video games and stuff like that realizing we have much in common. 

(Timeskip, 2 hours later)

It was almost dark outside and it was time for the kids to be picked up. Nate and I were cleaning up the club room a bit before we return here on Monday since its Friday and the club is not opened on the weekends. Then I felt a tug from my jacket.

Y/N- Hmm? Oh hey Lucy, what's up?

Lucy- Well, I was wondering as the new volunteer, could you lead all of us to the front of the library so we can wait for our parents?

Y/N- Yeah no problem. 

Lucy rounded up the others and I escorted them to the front doors and I waited there with their parents and we chatted some more till the cars showed up. They got picked up one by one and I waved goodbye to all of them and made my way inside the library and went to say bye to Nate.

Nate- Well, Y/N its been real fun with you and cant wait to see you Monday.

Y/N- Yeah man see you soon. 

We said bye and made my way to my car and drove back home after a long but fun first day at the Kids club. I think this is gonna the best decision I ever made. 

(No POV)

Meanwhile, the kids were telling their parents about Y/N and had nothing but good things to say about him and how they cant wait to see him again Monday wondering what kind of fun stuff they might do. Overall, the members of the kids club like the new volunteer.......they really do and find him more fun than all the other volunteers before and they thought Y/N sure is something else.
