Keyland followed Sherlock out of the busy party and into a cool grey hallway.

Sherlock handed her the phone.
"Mom?!" Keyland asks.
"Keyland! I'm so glad I got a hold of you." Her mother's breathing eases audibly.
"What's wrong? Is the family okay?" Key panics
"No no no no we're all okay. It's just..." the woman sighs.
"What?" Keyland asks.
"Is Sherlock with you?"
"Yeah. Here your on speaker now. "
" people have been going missing.

Good people, vanishing from their homes. And children too... our police are in over their heads."
Keyland exchanges a tense glance with Sherlock.

"What do you mean missing? Do you have any leads?" Sherlock asks.

"Odd things have been appearing where the people dissapear. " her mother explains.

"Odd how?" Sherlock prompts.

"Pinecones. Crystals. Berries. Chicken feathers. Sea shells. Jelly Beans."

"Fae offerings." Keyland muttered.

"Yes. And where I am, people are very supersticious." Her mother replies.

"You want us to come help you out. I'll check flights and get back to you as soon as I can." Sherlock replies.
"Thank you Sherlock. Keyland I love you. I can't wait to see you both soon." There's a beep as her mother hangs up.

"It's my family... again." Key whispers.
"None of your family was taken." Sherlock pulls her into his arms.
"No- this. This is a threat. It has to be him." She mumbles into his chest.
"Keyland..." he kisses the top of her head. She freezes. "You're safe with me. I'll protect you from him."

"He's like a ghost. Haunting us." Keyland mutters.
"Well it's a good thing we have two genius detectives on our side." Sherlock replies.
"What?" She looks up at him.
"You and me obviously."
Keyland laughs pulling him in for a kiss.
"Okay then let's get a plan."
