The blood rushed to Sherlock's ears and his hands trembled. He held the tweezers with a surgical precision as the seconds were counted down...
-9-
"Which wire do I cut?" He swallowed as sweat beaded at his forehead.
"As I told you when we defused the last bomb I wasn't on bomb squad!!!" The angry blonde man beside him sassed.
"Damn it John..." Sherlock swore under his breath.
-8-
"Just do what you did last time press the bloody button."
"I don't know if you've looked at the bomb john but there is no 'bloody button'!" Sherlock hissed.

"It's a simple decision. Red or blue. Probability brother mine." Mycroft yawned from his seat on the chair against the wall.
"With all due respect Mycroft. Shut up." John snapped.
-6-
"There has to be a clue around here... what do we know about the bomber?!" Andrea asked helpfully.
"Brilliant Andrea!" Keyland exclaimed as she pulled out a paper from her bag.
-5-
"...Davis Thomson, profession. Ex- bomb squad. Wife's name... Dog's name..."
"Could I trouble you to find something useful Keyland?" Mycroft asked, rolling his eyes.
-4-
"Shut up Mycroft!" The whole group coursed.
Mycroft snapped his mouth shut.
"Keyland?! Any time now...!" Sherlock sang, the panic creeping into his voice.
-3-
"...Favorite color blue! Sherlock the blue wire!" Keyland exclaimed.

The wall slid open to reveal a table with disposable plates on it. And Mrs.Hudson rounded the table with a two tiered cake in her hands.
"Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday Dear Sherlock! Happy Birthday to you!" Everyone sang.
Sherlock brought Keyland in for a kiss and smiled down at her.
He tried not to notice how pale and tired looking she was.
"Oh Sherlock! I'm so glad Keyland came up with the Idea to do an escape room for your birthday!" Mrs. Hudson exclaimed. "Even though I did prefer to do the baking and such. I'm so glad you had a fun time!"
"Yeah Keyland did a really spot on job with this." John beamed in a childlike manor. "Could you do my birthday next year?"
"Sure John." Keyland smiled tiredly.
"You already have it planned don't you?" Sherlock muttered in her ear, as John went to go grab some cake.
"Lazer tag or paintball...." She hummed, as she and Sherlock sat at the table. His arm around her and her head on his chest.
"Lazertag... well John does love sci-fi." Sherlock remarked, twirling a piece of Keyland's hair round his finger.
"Here's some birthday cake for you Sherlock." Mrs. Hudson beamed, setting the cake on the table in front of them.
"I don't eat cake, look what it did to Mycroft." Sherlock replied.
"It's your favorite." Keyland whispered from her place in Sherlock's arms.
"How did you know I like red velvet cake?!" Sherlock frowned as Mrs. Hudson sliced a big piece for him.
"Because it looks like blood and you are a sick and twisted man~" Keyland smirked, as Sherlock defensively ate his cake.
"Where's the birthday boy?!" Mrs. Holmes exclaimed as she burst into the room, presents in her hands.
"He's right here!" Keyland exclaimed as she vacated her seat and went to get herself a cuppa tea.
She looked back at Sherlock whose eyes widened as his mother sat down next to him. she smiled as Sherlock tried to deduce the gifts.
"They're not for you silly!" Mrs. Holmes scoffed as she took the box from him and turned to her left to give it to Rosie.
"It's my birthday!!!" Sherlock complained.
"When you have your own children you'll understand." His mother replied slyly.
Sherlock's face turned bright red.
"When are you planning on marrying her? Haven't you two waited long enough?" She sighed as they both watched Keyland putter around in the kitchenette.
"Mom... She just lost her best friend from childhood... her Trevor." Sherlock looked down at the table. "I can't marry her right away. I need to make sure she's ready."
"I see... But surely-" Mrs.Holmes started
Sherlock's phone buzzed on the table.
"Sorry mum-" Sherlock answered his phone. "Sherlock Holmes. Hello?... She is why?... Okay I'll get her." Sherlock stood up and looked for Keyland.
"What is it?" Keyland asked.
"Keyland Darling, Your mother called...The game is on!" He smiled.
A/N: I don't know how faithful I can be to writing this right now but I needed some stress relief. My mom just got into a car accident the other day. My brother has the chicken pox. I have strep throat and I'm really tired. I also have like 6 stories on the go in my head and not enough brain cells or arms to write them.
