CHAPTER 1

Narrators P.O.V

One dark night there was a girl Miranda who helped any man or women in any way she can. She was tending to a wound when someone knocked on the door. There stood a very faire maiden. She had a terrible scratch on her face.

After the other man left Miranda sat the faire maiden down.

She then asked," What is your name?"

The maiden answered," My name is Jenny"

Miranda sat her down and put a special herb that stopped most of Jenny's pain. They walked together to the guest room and got her ready to go to sleep. She was so caught up in helping Jenny that she forgot to lock the door. Later on that night Miranda was in such a deep sleep that she didn't hear the door slowly creep open. The man that came in went right to the guest room where Jenny was sleeping. He slowly creeped up to her and stabbed her!

Miranda awoken to the scream but by the time she got down there there was nobody but Jenny.

Jenny spoke her last words, "Take this and protect it! Come August 30th bring it to him."

Miranda very startled asked, "who is him?!?!?" But it was too late! Jenny was dead. Miranda had the box in her trembling hands. She slowly went to open it until she saw what it was. In her eyes she saw a simple whale keychain, but it was obviously something much more valuable in Jenny's eyes. Miranda took it to the library the next day to do some research. When she got there the librarian gave her a book titled,

The Mystery of Magic.

Miranda went to the librarian and said,"Excuse me, but i asked for a whale key chain book."

The librarian answered in a inpatient tone and said, "When I searched whale keychain this is what it came up so take it or leave it because we are closing soon."

Miranda very surprised left with the magic book. She then was tired because she didn't get much sleep the previous night. She woke up an hour later to her window blowing open and the wind turned the pages of the book until it hit the right page! Miranda stood in shock and slowly looked at the page!
