Chapter 25: Games (Stina's P.O.V.)

Why I said yes to the quirky, ginger-haired Dex, I didn't know. But I thought he actually liked me. I smirked. Of course I didn't like Dex. He was weird and annoying, and so darn clingy. Plus, his family was really strange. I wouldn't want to be associated with them.

But this would be fun. It'd be a little game, something to use as payback for every nasty word Dex had said to me, every prank he pulled and every time he laughed at my misery. With a sinister chuckle, I slammed my locker door and went to talk to my 'boyfriend'.

"Heya, Dex," I said, trying to sound flirtatious. I knew I was failing at it, but Dex didn't have the brains to realize.

 "Stina..."

I refrained from slamming his locker and smiled. "I'm so excited for Friday. But I've forgotten, how long is the dance?"

 "Two hours."

I sighed in the manor that only Sophie did, and only around Fitz. "Wow..." I breathed. "Two whole hours of dancing? And with none other than Dexter Dizznee?" He blushed and I tweaked his nose. Man, this was fun!

Unable to deal with it anymore, I slowly began to close he locker. I hated open lockers. They had to be slammed shut... on their owner's fingers. I almost cackled, but choked it down, instead slamming Dex's locker when he nodded and held up his full backpack. Half the hallway cringed at the clang, but I grinned, looped my arm through Dex's, and together we started for the bus lines.

"MOM, I'M HOME!" I yelled into the house. I dropped my backpack on the floor. Dad would pick it up. I say down at the dining room table, where there was, as always, a slice of chocolate cake. "MOM, COME HELP ME WITH MY HOMEWORK!" I demanded.

"Coming, sweet angel!" she called back. "What do you need help with?"

"Math," I grumbled, fighting a snicker. When Stina wanted something, Stina always got it.

Later that night, while I was watching T.V. On my 90" flat screen and eating my evening chocolate cake, my phone rang. I glanced at it, and saw, not to my surprise, the devil emoji. I rolled my eyes, but picked up in !y sweetest voice.

"Dex? What brings you to call me at such an hour?"

"Geez, Stina. It's only eight O'clock! It's not that late! But I just calf to say goodnight to my girlfriend, because in our house, devices go off at eight thirty."I

I frowned. How could he I've with that!? "Pity," I said. " Well, goodnight, Dexter Dizznee."

 "Goodnight, Stina Heks."

Yep. That's it. Another really short chapter, sorry!😞 And, it's also the end of the Taphie day mass update! I know, five chapters went by fast, didn't it? Heh, NOT FOR ME! I'm writing this on legit Thursday. I need to do more writing and less gaming in the future.

And, on that note, a shout out to TamTheShade, even though he isn't reading this, who, although maybe he didn't know it, gave me the courage to keep my head in the game until 6 am!

Heh, isn't it funny that I'm talking about my gaming experience in the chapter that's called "Games"? Weird... but they're not at all similar. I'm talking too much. Bye!
