Smokescreen's peds pounded on the metal floor noiselessly as he ran through the dark halls of the Nemesis. He was trying to find the way out.
Key word-trying.
Smokescreen abruptly halted when hearing voices and shadows ahead. He looked around before diving through the closest wall right before some vehicons came around the corner.
Smokescreen took a few steps away from the wall. He turned around, about to run away, when something stopped him. Smokescreen turned his optics to the object, focusing on what was there.
A little human girl, in her mid- to late-teens.
Her clothing was ripped in some places, her skin covered in burn marks and scars. He eyes were shut tight and slight whimpers came from her.
Smokescreen's spark felt torn at the sight of the girl. A warrior for the Autobots that had survived the war so far was getting emotional at seeing a human beaten and bruised.
"She has blue hair, tan skin, dark brown eyes, and she's wearing a light gray t-shirt with a funny saying on it with black jeans and brown combat boots!"
Smokescreen could almost hear the pleading voice of Sheik. As he looked over the girl again, he quickly realized she matched the description perfectly.
He kneeled down and gently scooped the girl up into his servos. After securing her in his sub-space, he turned on his Phase-Shifter and ran out of the room.

The team's spirits were greatly diminished. Not only two humans had been captured, but Smokescreen too was now a prisoner of the Decepticons.
Ratchet worked endlessly to see if he could locate Smokescreen's signal or the Decepticon warship's signal, but to no avail. He dragged his servo down his faceplate with a sigh.
A beep filled the silence.
Ratchet immediately perked up and saw Smokescreen's signal had appeared on the scanner.
"Smokescreen to base, I could REAAAAALLY use a Groundbridge."
Everyone else came running over as Ratchet worked to pinpoint Smokescreen's exact coordinates.
"What are you waiting for? Open the bridge and bring the kid back to base!"
"I'm trying! But I can't pinpoint Smokescreen's signal!"
Ratchet did some more of his magic and a screen of Smokescreen's signal and the ground appeared.
"That's the problem...... Smokescreen's in free-fall....."
Ratchet quickly went back to work, opening the Groundbridge under Smokescreen.
"Smokescreen, I am opening the Groundbridge directly below you."
They all waited in tense silence as Smokescreen's signal fell closer and closer,
Before going off-course.
"He's off-course?!"
"Well close that bridge and open a new one!"
Ratchet began going back to work as quickly as possible. Smokescreen's signal fell closer to the ground.
Right before Ratchet could open a new Groundbridge, Smokescreen's signal hit the ground and went red.
"No......."
The team was about to grieve the loss of their fallen comrade when,
"Hey, Doc? I could REAAAALLY use that Groundbridge."
Ratchet opened a Groundbridge quickly and they watched as Smokescreen appeared in the Groundbridge. He walked forward, servos encircling something.
"What is that? A trophy?"
Smokescreen shook his helm. Snivy and Sheik looked at the young warrior with hope in their eyes. Smokescreen removed one servo, revealing what lay on the other.
"Lunar!"
Snivy flew over with Sheik running down the stairs. Snivy then took Sheik's hands and flew up to Smokescreen's servo, landing gently. The two girls quickly hugged their just-awakening friend very tightly as tears fell from their cheeks.
"Uhh, g-guys? Can't breathe!"
Snivy and Sheik immediately let go. Lunar smiled up at her friends. Her friends' gazes traveled over the scars and marks on her body.
"What happened to you?"
Lunar averted her gaze, smile falling.
"I witnessed it first hand, and I still don't believe it......."
The others waited in silence as Lunar took a derp breath.
"N-Nova did this..........."
