General Narration

Sage sat on the couch of her living room of her home, surrounded by her family, the masters, Claude, and Rhose.

Mary: "Are you hungry dear? I made some soup."

Sage: "Yeah. Thanks mom."

Mary stood up and went to serve her the food. Baldo went up to her and hugged Sage tightly.

Baldo: "My little girl."

Sage: "I'm OK daddy."

Baldo: "I thought I lost you."

Sage: "I'm fine. I'm here. I'm not going anywhere. Ever."

Sage hugged back as tears began streaming down her eyes. Those looked away as he knew what she meant.

Rhose P.O.V

Was being immortal that bad? I didn't even know that. There were times I wished I wasn't. Which was why I never bothered to involve myself with humans. Thanks to Alucard I had. But somehow I don't regret it. Because no matter what I do, or where I go, Sage is always the one I think of. Why was this? Was it because what Claude said was true? I can't even think straight anymore.

General Narration

Sage looked over at Those and sighed. She pulled away from her father's hug and smiled at him. She stood up and went over to Rhose.

Sage: "Rhose. May I speak with you for a minute?"

She couldn't handle it. Rhose was beating himself up over and over again. Rhose nodded as they went towards the roof. Claude wasn't far behind, curious of what was going to happen. Rhose and Sage reached the roof.

Rhose: "What is it you wish to speak of with me."

Sage: "What did I tell you?"

Rhose: "Pardon?"

Sage: "What did I tell you!?"

Rhose P.O.V

When she asked me that a second time, her voice had become angry. I was beginning to wonder.

Rhose: "Sage. What do you mean?"

Sage: "I told you to stop that. Stop blaming yourself."

Rhose: "Sage, you told me to stop and I did."

Sage's eyes widened in anger. I knew I had said something I shouldn't have. She turned away from me and crossed her arms. I could hear her completely. She was crying. I realized my powers had returned to me. I was no longer bound to Sage.

Sage: "You're a liar. I hate liars.

Rhose: " Sage."

I reached for her arm as she pulled away quickly.

Sage: "Don't touch me!"

SMACK

I felt a sharp pinch on my cheeck.

General Narration

Sage was so enraged. She slapped Rhose across the face. He looked at her dumbfounded.

Rhose: "Sage."

Sage: "DON'T! DON'T SAGE ME!"

She raised her hand and turned around once again and without even facing him, yelled at him

Sage: "YOU'RE A LIAR RHOSE. I HATE YOU. YOU LIED TO ME."

Rhose began to get angry as well, he too raised his voice.

Rhose: "THEN TELL ME SAGE. WHY DO YOU HATE ME AND BELIEVE THAT I HAVE LIED?"

Sage: "YOU LIED. IM NO LONGER HUMAN. I SEE IT! HEAR IT! KNOW IT! YOU'RE BLAMING YOURSELF! I TOLD YOU TO STOP! THIS WASN'T YOUR FAULT! IT WAS MY CHOICE AND MY CHOICE ALONE TO RISK MYSELF FOR YOUR SAKE! DONT YOU SEE!?"

Rhose grabbed Sage by the shoulders and tuelrned her around in order to make her face him.

Rhose: "TELL ME SAGE. WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO RISK YOURSELF FOR ME!? I JUST MET ME NOT EVEN FOUR MONTHS AGO. THERE IS STILL SO MANY THINGS YOU DONT KNOW ABOUT ME, YET YOU RISKED YOURSELF FOR ME. WHY DID YOU DO IT SAGE?"

Sage: "I DONT CARE WHO YOU WERE OR WHAT YOU WERE INVOLVED WITH! I DONT CARE IF ALL THE BAD THINGS YOU'VE DONE IN YOUR LIFE COMES BACK ON ME! I DONT CARE! THE RHOSE I KNOW RIGHT NOW IS THE ONE I'VE GROWN TO CARE FOR SO DEEPLY. THAT'S WHAT I CARE FOR! NOT THE OTHER STUFF! YOU'RE MY FRIEND RHOSE, DEMON OR NOT, YOURE MY FRIEND RHOSE! I CARE ABOUT YOU!"

Rhose's eyes were wide with surprise. Sage looked at him, eyes filled with tears, narrowed, and looking straight at him.

Claude P.O.V

It was about time someone told him. I was about ready to tell him myself, king or not. Do you see it King Infernous? Do you see it Queen Moorna? Rhose has discovered the true meaning of having a friend. I wish you were both here to see this, though I know you already are.

Claude: "You've grown quite a bit, My King Rhose."

General Narration

Sage and Rhose stayed there not knowing what else to say. Rhose without any hesitation pulled Sage towards him and hugged her tightly. She did the same as she cried even more in his hold.

Rhose: "I'm so sorry, Sage. I didn't know any of this. Please forgive me."

Sage: "I........forgive you."

Rhose: "Thank you."
