Rhose P.O.V

Alucard lifted me up off the ground and slammed me back into it. I grunted in pain as I felt one of my ribs crack. I coughed up blood and laid there for a moment.

Alucard: "If you want to save Sage you'll have to fight a lot harder than that brother."

Alucard walked to where Sage lay and picked her up and layed her in his lap.

Rhose: "Don't you dare touch her, Alucard."

He laughed as I attempted to crawl as my broken rib healed itself. I wasn't at my full strength. Sage collapsed, before my power fully returned to me. I was glad she had blacked out. If she didn't, The Nigram Clavem would be draining her of her blood.

Alucard: "I pity you, brother. Like always, you're always a hair too late."

Rhose: "Alucard, please don't do it........I beg you."

Alucard: "I like it when you beg. Do it again."

I couldn't believe I was doing this.

Rhose: "Please.......I beg you."

He chuckled.

Alucard: "No."

Alucard's teeth were near Sage's neck. He was going to do it. Is this it? Have I failed? Sage. I'm so sorry. Forgive me. I couldn't save you. I looked away.

???: "Just try it. I'll sever your head from your body."

I looked up to the sound of the feminine yet strong voice. I saw Lady Linares, standing next to Alucard holding a sword to his throat. He smiled and put Sage down. He stood up as Lady Linares followed him with her sword.

Alucard: "You're quite skilled. I didn't even sense your presence, human."

Mary: "You'd be surprised at my abilities. Now step away from my daughter."

Alucard: "Daughter? How touching."

Lady Linares didn't flinch. Her expression didn't change. She had the eyes of a murder.

Mary: "Rhose. Take Sage. Get out of here."

Alucard: "Such a disgrace. You're taking orders from another human other than your Keeper. How pitiful."

Rhose: "Do you ever shut your mouth."

I was beginning to get annoyed at Alucard's every comment.

Rhose: "I'm sorry, Lady Linares, but I can not do that. I promised your husband I'd bring your daughter back safely. I asset that also means you, no .matter how strong you may be. I appreciate your help, but this battle is between my brother and me."

Lady Linares didn't say a word as she stepped back.

Alucard: "Finally getting serious are we? About time."

Rhose: "Silence! Now we fight!"

I charged at him, surprisingly feeling my power. But how? Sage was unconscious. So how is this possible? I met Alucard with a punch to the jaw, then a kick to the side, and finally a back knuckle to the bridge of his nose.  He stumbled back and drew his weapon. My mother's death scythe.

Alucard: "Do you remember this, brother? It is mother's death scythe. Her soul death scythe."

Rhose: "I can see that. But you're not the only one who has on of mother's legendary weapons."

My mother's Gatling Gun appeared on my arm and was already reloaded, with having me do it. I saw Alucard's expression. It almost made me chuckle.

Alucard: "Where did you get that?"

Rhose: "That is none of your concern."

I aimed and it fired. Alucard shielded himself with a barrier.

Alucard: "It'll take a lot more than that to bring me down."

Mary P.O.V

I held Sage on my arms as I tried to wake her up. I placed my head against hers and concentrated. I had to try this. It was the only way I knew how to bring Sage back.

Sage P.O.V

Where am I? Am I dead? A voice? Who is it? Or what? What happened? Oh right I collapsed after giving Rhose his powers.

???: "Sage, Sage, Sage."

A disoriented voice was calling me. I could hear it faintly.

Sage: "Who's there?"

???: "It's me. Your mother."

I saw her. It was her. Mom. My mom. I ran to her.

Sage: "Mom."

Mary: "Sage I don't have that much time. You have to wake up."

Sage: "How do I do that?"

Mary: "Just let it all go."

Sage: "What am I supposed to be letting go of."

Mary: "Your feelings. All those feelings bottled up inside, whether it be anger, pain, happiness, or love. Let those go. After you've done that leave it all to me."

I nodded as she placed her hand on my head. She chanted something over and over. I began to see a light. Finally the world. The first thing I saw was my mother's smiling face.

Sage: "Mom."

Mary: "Hi there."

I hugged her tightly as I took a deep breath.
Sage: "What happened?"

Mary: "Rhose is fighting Alucard, Claude is against his brother Rhonin, and then there's your senseis fighting off Alucard's troopers."

Sage stood up, closed her eyes, and took a deep breath

Sage: "I see.........Si dues me relinquint!"

Mary: "Sage what are you doing!?"

Sage: "Helping in anyway I can."

Rhose P.O.V

I felt a sudden burst of energy flow within me. Sage. But how? I kicked my brother back as he came fourth. I sent him into the castle wall. It gave me time to look back. I was surprised. Sage was deverting all my power to me. What the hell was she thinking?

Rhose: "Sage! Stop! What are you doing!? Are you trying to kill yourself!?"

Sage didn't answer, but slowly opened her eyes. She smiled faintly, but sadly. It broke my heart. I gritted my teeth together.

Rhose: "Sage stop! Now!"

A green aura appeared around her, circling around her. She dropped to one knee.

Rhose & Mary: "Sage!"

She raised her hand and shook her head. She stood back up and continued. I had to stop this. I was killing her. I ran to her. I wasn't going to let this continue.

Alucard: "You idiot, do you know how crucial that is. You can't interrupt the power transfer of a Keeper. If you do that and you'll be the one who will be in pain."

Rhose: "I don't expect you to care!"

General Narration

Rhose ran towards Sage. She looked at him, shook her head, and raised her hand. He stopped, shocked.

Rhose: "What? I can't let you do this."

She was silent for a moment, before speaking.

Sage: "And I can't let you die."

Rhose eyes widened as she said that. Her voice was the sound of a wise goddess "Had she really meant that?" He thought.

Rhose: "Sage, I would never bring harm to a human."

Sage: "I would never want harm to anyone."

Rhose: "Sage, listen to me. If I have to die for your sake, then I'll gladly put my life on the line."

Sage eyes widened. What was he saying to her? Before Sage knew it, Rhose had ran to her and tackled her to the ground before she could blink.

Sage P.O.V

I tightly closed my eyes as I landed on the ground from the tackle Rhose gave. I felt warm drops on my cheek. I opened my eyes to see Rhose in his human form. I also saw that he was bleeding from his mouth. He looked at me with a faint smile.

Rhose: "Sage.......are you.......alright?"

He said weekly. Why had he done that?

Sage: "Shh, don't talk. Save your strength. You idiot. Why did you do that?"

Rhose smiled only grew.

Rhose: "It's ok. I told you. You're my Keeper, I'm your servant. I must and will protect you. Even if it means, losing my life."

His smile and words ripped my heart into shreads, and brought tears to my eyes.

Rhose: "Why are you crying?"

Sage: "I don't know why."

Rhose: "Sage."

He paused as he placed his hand on my cheek.

Rhose: "I'm glad you're alright."

That only made the crying worse. Rhose stood up and looked over his shoulder and saw Alucard who was also beginning to stand up.

Alucard: "How pathetic. You endanger your own life for the life of a weak, pathetic, human. You're a disgrace."

Rhose: "So what? If I do such a thing, then it only means I'm a better demon than you are."

Alucard laughed.

Alucard: "Demons aren't generous."

Sage, stood up and stood next to Rhose.

Mary: "Sage. What are you doing? You need to rest."

Rhose looked to his left to see Sage standing tall.

Rhose: "Sage, stay back."

Sage: "No! No more. I'm not gonna be dead weight. If it kills me, then so be it. I won't let you die. Not when you have an entire world to govern."

Rhose: "Sage."

Rhose P.O.V

That look. The look in her eyes was pure determination. Where have I seen it before. Mom. Dad. They wore the same face before they died. What was it about Sage, that intrigued me?"

Alucard: "You're quite brave. You'll be quite a treat."

Rhose: "Over my dead body."

Alucard: "So be it."

Rhose and Alucard once again clashed with each other, delivering dangerous blows to each other. This went on for what seemed like hours. Sage had done her best to divert all power to Rhose, but at a cost. The mark on Sage's shoulder had bleed. Sage's shirt was stained with her blood as was her lip. The Nigram Clavem was taking a great toal on Sage's body.

Rhose: "Sage, you can and must stop. You've done enough. I have all my power now."

Sage: ".........Very........well."

Sage said weakly as she sighed tiredly.

Alucard: "Don't take this lightly."

Alucard distanced himself from Rhose and exhaled.

Alucard: "I've spent to much time on you. I must do what I wanted to do. Only one thing will have to wait."

With that said, Alucard disappeared in an instant. Rhose looked around. He looked left and right. Only one thought came to mind.

Rhose P.O.V

Behind. I looked behind me and there, behind Sage, in front of Mary, appeared Alucard. He shoved Mary into the castle wall. She grunted in pain as blood came out of her mouth, due to the impact. In the blink of an eye Alucard turned to grabbed Sage and held her forcefully, before anyone knew what was happening.

Rhose: "No!"

Alucard: "Say goodbye to your Keeper."

I ran as fast as I could back to Sage.

Rhose: "Sage!"

Her eyes held intense fear. It pained my heart.
