Chapter 10~ Something Like Goodbye...
(Make sure you look at the picture...you'll need it for later...)
(Garroth's P.O.V.)
"Why would she do this?" I was trying not to cry as I told Aphmau about Anna's runaway session.
"I don't know Garroth. And you can't go over there. You are the eldest Ro'Meave brother..." Aphmau looked at me. "You really care about her, don't you?".
"Yeah...I do. And she could be dead right now."I looked down. Aphmau brought my head back up.
"I'll send other guards to look for her, I don't want you getting killed...please." She smiled at me. "I'll send Laurence and Travis...okay?". I really didn't want Laurence to go after her but he was a good guard...so I nodded 'yes'.
"As long as we get her back...".
" I promise Garroth, on my village.". With that she walked off to find Travis and Laurence. I really hope Anna's okay...
(Anna's P.O.V.)
I open my eyes to a white, castle-like building. Everything was white and as I entered I heard a voice, soothing like a mother's.
"Welcome my child. We've been expecting you.". Was I dead?
"Hello?" I tried looking for the body to the voice. No one at all.
"Don't seek me. I'm already found.". "Who are you? Why am I here?".
"My child, I am the Lady Irene. You are here because I've called you here. You've been stabbed by the very evil Zane Ro'Meave.".
"I'm dead?!" I started to tear up.
"I'm sorry child." A lady in all white with long beautiful black hair and purple eyes appeared in front of me. "I really wish I could help you...I really do.". She looked at me solemnly.
"I...I can't be dead! I can't just leave Garroth like that!"I started to cry.
"Don't cry. I'll try to find a way to help. I promise, you'll get to say your goodbye..." She disappeared and I was left alone in the castle with nothing to do.
(Aphmau's P.O.V.)
I feel bad for Garroth. His love is in the worst village ever and she's probably dead. He's so heartbroken, I could see it in his eyes. I need to help him. I went to find Travis and Laurence and started at the guard tower. Good guess.
"Hey Aph. What's up?" Laurence greeted.
"I need you and Travis to go to O'Kahsis and retrieve Anna.". They both looked at me with big eyes.
"Anna's in O'Kahsis!!" Laurence said, obviously in shock. He looked mad.
"Is she the girl who was with Garroth?" I forgot Travis didn't really know her yet.
"Yeah. I have some supplies for you. You will not fight unless needed. You will give Zane all the diamonds in this bag for her. Whether she's dead or alive. Just get her back." I threw the leather backpack at Travis.
"Got it Aph." I took them to the gates and they went on their way.
(Laurence's P.O.V.)
"So...we have a rescue mission.".
"Yeah Travis. Stay focused though. We are dealing with a vicious man. He won't care what you do. He'll kill you without question.".
"Wow..." Travis was shocked. We didn't talk the rest of the trip....
We finally arrived to O'Kahsis and I put on my helm. Travis wasn't know yet so I didn't worry about him.
"Access?" I asked.
"Granted." The guard opened the gate. Travis and I went to Zane's throne room right away.
"Zane..." I growled.
"Who are you..." He stared at me...like he didn't even care for Travis. I took off my helm. "Oh...why Laurence old buddy.". I looked on the floor and saw an old rug three quarters of the way covering a blood stain. Fairly fresh.
"Where'd the blood come from?" Travis asked. Aparently he noticed it too.
"Oh...just a useless old Jury member named Jeffory. Oh! And your little friend. Or should I say...your little princess." He smirked devilishly.
"Where is she!?!" I started to get pissed.
"Guards!" He called out and two guards brought in a lifeless bag. He unzipped it and there laid Anna herself. Dead and lifeless.
"We'll take her back." I threw the bag at him.
"She's dead though...." He looked confused. "But if your into that kind of thing. I guess yo-" I ran at him with my sword and he blocked it with his. "Oh...and I thought Garroth was the lover boy....heh." He spun and tried to go for my ankles and I jumped.
"You don't talk about her like that..." I felt a heat wave come over me and my sword and armor turned red...I've turned. My thoughts blurred and next thing I knew I saw Anna. She was pale and had lifeless eyes. Her hair down and she was in a white dress.
"Please stop Laurence. This isn't you." She walked up to me and put her hand on my cheek. She smiled softly and kissed my forehead. "Be Laurence.".
I was back in reality with Zane looking at me with a death threatening look. I backed off and was back to normal. Anna's body was still dead. I zipped the bag back up again and took her back to Phoenix Drop.
I took her to Aphmau's house.
"Here she is...". I put her down on the long dinner table.
Aphmau opened the bag and gasped. She teared up and her eyes widened. "Oh my Irene...what is Garroth going to do. His love is dead." She started to shake. I hugged her.
"It'll be okay. Well just have a memorial service. He'll be okay...promise." I tried to comfort her and calm her but she just kept crying.
Although she nodded and told Travis to gather everyone in the plaza. He did as told.
"I'll prepare her, you prepare Garroth."Aphmau sighed. I left and Aphmau started to freshen up Anna's lifeless body.
(Aphmau's P.O.V.)
I cried as I did so, but I prepared Anna. I put her into a better dress by just slipping it over her top and shorts. I tried to make her face have a little more color by rubbing some cocoa powder on it. I gave her a bouquet and sighed as I finished. I put her onto a portable bed.
As of my arrival, Dante put her in the coffin. I don't know where they got it from but now is not the time for that.
"Ladies and Gentlemen. Anna was close to some of you and some of you didn't even know her." I swallowed my tears as I saw Garroth crying every tear he had. "She died by the hands of another and I plan to avenge her death as I know others share my same thought as I speak." I took a deep breath. "Let us pray to Lady Irene.".
(Anna's P.O.V.)
I started to cry when I heard Aphmau saying those words.
"My child! I have found a way to help you." Lady Irene came up to me smiling.
"What is it?!" I got my hopes up.
"I'm giving you a second chance. But for a price. I can let you live again, but can no longer aid you along your path of life. I can only send you signs.".
"I'll take it Irene! I can handle myself...thank you so much." I went up to her and hugged her lightly. She hugged me back.
"Good luck my child..." She put her hand on my forehead and I woke up in a box. I panicked and started banging my fists on the top of the box. I heard some voices and the top of the box came off. I took a deep breath as the blue haired guard helped me up. I didn't even get to look around because I was almost tackled by Garroth's hug.
"Oh my Irene! Don't leave me like that again! Please! I can't let you go!" He was crying like crazy.
"You'd have to do something really stupid for me to do that..." I kissed him and he kissed me back.
"Anna..." Laurence came up to me. "I'm sorry I did that to you..." He was in tears as well.
"It's alright Laurence..." I hugged him.
"Anna...stay here. If your going to leave, tell one of us." Aphmau joined the hug club by hugging me as well. She was probably as much in tears as Garroth.
"I promise...". I was so grateful that I was back and I kind of teared up from joy. Garroth wiped my tears away and we walked off...together...
"I love you..."
" I love you too Garroth....and I always will.".
I looked up and saw Lady Irene smiling at me. I smiled back and leaned on Garroth. I sighed in relief. I was alive and well...
