Carmilla V Ash

"Court is now in session", I said ready to hear the deal. Carmilla cleared her throat before standing and speaking.

"Me and mister Ash here arranged this meeting in hopes to come to a business deal where I may have access to his powder to be used in the firearms I sell here in hell. The original deal I gave mister ash before this meeting as a place to start is if he allowed me access to his supply he would get ten percent revenue from any ammunition that uses his gun powder". With a nod she sat back down before I spoke to mister Ash.

"Now mister Ash, do you agree to these terms or do you have a counter offer?", I asked him while taking a puff from my cigar.

"I do Judge", he said standing. Seems this one's smarter than other new Overlords. Usually the newer ones are cocky and arrogant but this one knows not to pull that here, good.

"Proceed"

"My counter offer is instead of the ten percent of Revenue I get twenty percent instead. Along with a discount on any weapons me and my company purchase from Miss Carmilla Carmine. Weapons mainly meant to defend my factories"

"Eighteen percent with discount", Carmilla suddenly countered. For a quick second I saw one of Ash's eyes twitch. Guess I spoke too soon. Giving Mayberry a glance after she finished typing what was said she gave a nod. Let's hope this doesn't get out of hand soon.

"Miss Carmine, you have to understand that doing business with you will come with dangers. To take twenty percent off is fair wouldn't you say?"

"Though you're not wrong that there are dangers with making business with Miss Carmilla it shouldn't be too much of a problem though", I interrupted letting some smoke out of my teeth. Ash began to sweat a bit hearing me speak.

"Since this deal will be made by me and many will know that they'll think twice about messing with your business. At the same time though that's not everyone so allow me to make a proposition. Eighteen percent of revenue will go to mister Ash for any ammunition sold with his powder, miss Carmine will supply your company with weapons to help defend it, and I can not stress that enough, without cost. With this mister Ash will get a discount on arms made by Miss Carmine who will also decide the discount. The reason for this is because I know very well that she could go to anyone else to make this deal, and she would have given them less revenue back. Now how does that sound?". For a moment both parties were deep in thought before Carmilla agreed to it but Ash seemed hesitant. I could see his anger was starting to boil.

"This deal is bullshit!", he said, showing his sharp teeth. Ah, a piranha demon. Rare type to see nowadays.

"I would watch your tone mister Ash", I said letting out some killing intent. This seemed to work as he backed down.

"Miss Carmilla, maybe if you were to set the discount you would give would ease his worries. I intended to ask you anyway so we may add it to the contract. I'll of course be setting the punishment for if this contract is broken", I said with a dark tone at the end. Carmilla nodded while Ash seemed to be having second thoughts on coming here. Too late.

"If you wish mister Ash I can give your business a discount of twenty two percent on any weapons made by me. Is that agreeable?", Carmilla said with her offering. Smart, she's giving him the option of the discount when I originally stated she could set it, not him. These types of cases are always fascinating to see play out.

"That is agreeable", Ash said.

"Splendid!", I said standing up. With a snap of my fingers two golden parchments with ink pens formed in front of them. These were the contracts for the deal both parties had to sign.

"Now I'll give you time to read these over but before you do let me give you the punishment if this deal is broken. If the deal is not followed by either party the punishment will be the dismemberment of one's arm for a time of one hundred years. This means your arm will never grow back and you will always feel the pain that comes from a limb being removed in that time. So if either of the parties decides to find some way to get out of the deal, which is impossible, this punishment will be given without me needing to enact it. Now take the time you need to read over the details, please let me know if I forgot about anything", I said before going back to enjoying my cigar. Thankfully the document wasn't too long so they finished rather quickly. They'll most likely meet up at a later time to announce the deal along with speaking over details of how they're dealings would be performed.

Watching them both I saw each sign the parchment setting it down in front of them. Standing up and buttoning my Jacket I snapped my fingers to have the parchments fly in front of me. Seeing that each document was properly I snapped my fingers making them vanish. Then I held a hand out to each to shake. Carmilla without hesitation came forward taking my hand as Ash was hesitant before taking my other in a handshake like Carmilla. Soon Black chains came from my arms forming a cuff around their wrists with a chain connecting them. The room around us became dark with little light coming in.

"This deal has now been concluded and both parties have agreed. This court is adjourned", I said letting go of their hands. At the same time the chains vanished. Giving each a personal goodbye, both left with the exception of Carmilla.

"Knew you would be the best person to go to for this Charon. Even if it took a lot of persuasion to get that cobarde to agree to this", she said as we both took a seat. Seeing she was stressed I snapped my fingers to have her favorite drink form in front of her.

"Thank you old friend"

"Not sure why you needed me to oversee this one. You could have very easily taken his company by force if you wanted"

"Then I would have another enemy to worry about. There's also nothing stopping me from doing so in the future", Carmilla said with a smirk. Taking a puff I couldn't help but chuckle before a full hearty laugh formed.

"Just remember not to break the deal, Carmilla. I would hate to see one of your arms gone for one hundred years with the pain. It's not befitting of you", I said with an unseen smirk.

"As you taught me in my early years, Charon, always take a deeper look at the details", she said with her own smirk. Another laugh came from me. Happy to know she's taken my lesson to heart. Many don't learn it fast when it comes to me.

"How have you been, Charon?", Carmilla asked. If I could show a smile I would have a small one right now.

"Got a new Cigar one of my employees gave me and I'm doing what I love. Why wouldn't I be?"

"To say that in hell of all places", she joked, earning another laugh from me. Out of everyone Carmilla always seemed to get a good laugh out of me. Very few can.

"Right you are Carmilla, right you are. Anything else you wish to discuss? I'm afraid I have another case I must handle between some upcoming overlords that I know will end with me having a headache. Hate cases involving newer overlords", I said already messaging my skull.

"Arrogant bunch, but no I don't. Hope to see you at the end of this year's extermination", she said, getting up and leaving. Watching her leave I turned to miss Mayberry.

"When's the next extermination?"

"six days away sir"

"Well, it seems I've been very busy lately. I've usually been very good at keeping track of the date for every year's extermination. In that case please reach out to our usual contacts to prepare for the extermination as usual. See to it that our specially made bunkers are ready for the residents and employees. Also I hope you don't mind me overstepping but I dropped off some polish I think will work well for your horns and hooves. I overheard how you mention you've been having a hard time finding the right polish for them. Just so happened I knew someone", I said standing up. Mayberry formed a blush of embarrassment.

"oh uh, you didn't need to do that sir"

"why not? Even though you have a deal with me, which I might add is almost coming to its close, you are one of my employees. I take care of my own miss Mayberry. Sure it beats teaching mister Brooker", I said with a smirk.

"How'd you know one of my students?", Mayberry asked surprised.

"I may not have eyes miss Mayberry but I can see much more than others. Nothing goes unseen by me. Now, let's get our next case done shall we?"

---------5 hours later--------------

I mentioned I hate dealing with cases involving newer overlords due to their arrogance and prideful behavior. Which leads us to now. For three hours I've been listening to these two argue back and forth on what territory was theirs. I've only gotten one chance to give a possible compromise but that led to more arguing after. Doesn't help that one of them was the Australian bomber Cherri Bomb. With the amount of explosions she causes I'm surprised she didn't die sooner.

We've been at this for so long I've resorted to taking off my jacket and having my sleeves rolled up. Next to me was my ashtray full of ash from all the cigars I've smoked over the hours. Taking a glance at my watch I realized I was about to be late for my lunch with Corax. Don't want to miss that though if I called ahead I'm sure he would understand but I never like to hold off our weekly lunches. Guess there's one compromise I can do to at least postpone this for a little while, hopefully.

"Brit!"

"Ozzie!"

"Poms!!"

"convicts!!"

"WANKER!!!", they both yelled at each other. Looked like they were about to get into a brawl so I let some of my killing intent be known silencing them.

"If I may, maybe we should end this session and pick it up another day? allow both parties to think on what has been said here today. Do both parties agree to this?", I asked. Both of them sent a glare to each other, calming down.

"fine", they both said.

"Great, please call my secretary when you get a chance about the best times to have you both meet again. This court is adjourned". Standing up, both of them left sharing glares again as they growled at each other.

Standing up I unrolled my sleeves making myself more presentable before putting my jacket back on. Letting out a heavy sigh I was happy this was over but not looking forward to the next meeting between the two. Even Mayberry was showing physical signs of exhaustion from this meeting. Seeing as how I only have lunch with Corax today.

"Go home for the day miss Mayberry, I think I can handle the rest of today's activities alone"

"Are you sure sir? who'll take your calls? or set up future appointments sir?", Mayberry argued. Out of all my employees she may just be the most loyal. While also being a bit of a workaholic.

"Don't worry, I'll have someone else take care of that. Call it a thanks for putting up with this recent case"

"Thank you sir", she said, packing her things and leaving.

Now it's time to meet Corax. Taking another look at my watch I saw I was right on time to meet him, good. Don't like being late for anything. Heading out of the room I made my way back to the limo but as I stepped outside I decided I would walk instead. The restaurant wasn't too far a walk anyway. It's been awhile since I've walked through my zone with that too. Letting the driver know he can take a break and I would call him back when I need him I then went on my way.

With my hands in my pockets I walked through my neutral zone proud of what it is now. Once it used to be like most areas in pentagram city with all its murder, theft, drugs, scams, etc. Name a sin it's done but after I took this territory for my own I wanted to bring something different to Hell. Something more orderly. Any demon was welcome here but had to abide by my rules through a deal. That deal involved the rules they must follow to live here and suffer the consequences if they broke them. Can't do much about drugs though so I didn't bother banning that. It surprisingly brought about much success after most saw what happens when you break my rules of course. Not to say it still doesn't happen from time to time but they get a chance to plead their case to me. We may be in hell but I do believe in a fair trial. Not many souls got one to begin with.

Getting stuck in my thoughts I almost walked past where I was going. Walking into the restaurant I gave a hello to the owner as usual before taking a seat by an open window. Loved how this restaurant had big windows they would open depending on the weather. Taking a seat I people watched after sparing a quick glance at my watch. Corax should be here soon. Soon a waiter came by dropping off a cup of coffee with a cup of Corax's preferred Tea blend.

Taking a sip of my coffee I heard a caw to see a Crow land on the chair across from me. Setting my cup down the crow grew in size turning into a shadow before turning into who I came to meet, Corax.

Corax was an interesting fellow. Most people would see him with the head of a crow who dressed very nicely like me. Though his style was more classical in the sense he dressed more like someone from the Victorian era. He wore a jacket that reached just a bit past his waist that was purely black with gold edges and a collar with an intricate design mainly in gold. With it he had a type of scarf that hung around his neck with a similar color scheme of black with gold edges but toward the bottom it lost its color and almost looked dirty. Underneath his jacket he wore a nice red button up waist jacket over a white shirt with a red thin neck tie of sorts. Always liked to tease his older style. Over his attire was a cloak that resembled the wings of a crow which was because they were his wings.

"Afternoon Corax, how is today's fallen angel?"
