"Now that you're ready, it's time to start combat training!" All Might announced, before Iida spoke up, his hand raised.

"Excuse me, sir, but this is the fake city from the entrance exam. Does that mean that we'll be conducting urban battles again?"

"Not quite!" All Might answered. "I'm going to move you two steps ahead!"

All Might continued to explain that that despite a fight may look on the news, the statistics show that the most drastic battles happen indoors.

"Think about it; backroom deals, home invasions, secret underground lairs. Truly intelligent criminals stay hidden in the shadows. For this training exercise, you'll be split into teams of good guys and bad guys, and fight two on two battles."

Asui titled her head to the side, "Isn't this a little advanced?"

"The best training is what you get on the battle field! But remember, you can't just punch a robot this time, you're dealing with actual people!" All Might replied.

Hailey only chuckled as she recalled the many, many instances where she fought Yuri during on of his anger outbursts. Because Yuri was very unpredictable (he threw a figure skate at her one time), Hailey was confident that she could handle this exercise.

Yaoyoroszu raised her hand, "Sir, will you be deciding who wins?"

Bakugou then piped in with a very sinister attitude, "How much can we hurt the other team?"

The class shared a sweatdrop of worry at Bakugou's question.

"Do we need to worry about the losers getting expelled?" Uraraka asked, worried from Mr Aizawa's treatment of them on the first day.

"Will you be splitting us based on chance or comparative skill?" Iida inquired.

"Does this cape look sparkly?" Aoyana chimed in.

All Might clenched his fist in aggravated annoyance, "I wasn't finished talking." He then opened up a notebook, as it appeared to be a script. All Might went on to explain how the exercise would work.

The teams would be chosen by selection lots. Team A was Midoriya and Uraraka, Team B was Todoroki, Shoji and Hailey, Team C was Mineta and Yaoyorozu, Team D was Bakugour and Iida, Team E was Ashido and Aoyama, Team F was Koda and Sato, Team G was Jirou and Kaminari, Team H was Tokoyami and Asui, Team I was Ojiro and Hagakure, and Team J was Sero and Kirishima.

Hailey bit her bottom lip as she considered her teammates. Both of them were quiet but looked to have powerful quirks. But on the bright side, maybe this would be a good way to start on good terms with Todoroki if she was able to help them win or do very well.

She would focus on that later, as of now, she felt sympathetic towards Midoriya as he was against the one person who seemed to have it out for him. Bakugou made it no secret that he enjoyed inflicted pain onto those who oppose him.

"Good luck you guys." Hailey said to both teams before she followed the rest of her classmates towards the monitoring room to watch what was to come.

The monitor room was very large and had large screen monitors that All Might stood in front of.

"Now watch closely students, decide what you would do." All Might instructed as he began a timer.

On the monitors, Bakugou was seen sneak attacking Midoriya and Uraraka, but Midoriya was able to dodge just in time.

"Sneak attack, Bakugou? How unmanly!" Kirishima scolded in distaste.

"It was a viable strategy." All Might argued as he continued to supervise.

Other students made comments as well to voice what they saw and convey their own thoughts. But the battle continued to commence on the monitors.

Midoriya was able to grab Bakugou and pull him over, flipping him over onto his back.

"Hell yeah! Go Midoriya!" Hailey cheered under her breath.

Midoriya's body visibly trembled as he stood in a battle stance and when Bakugou got back on his feet, he looked to be screaming something at Midoriya.

"I can't tell who he's talking to, is there any way that we could get some sound?" Kirishima inquired.

"I don't know if I wanna hear all that teenaged angst and anger." Hailey joked and nudged Kirishima playfully with her elbow, causing him to chuckle.

The number one hero pointed to a hearing device that was in his ear, explaining that he had given two others to Bakugou so that he could communicate with Iida, as well as using it as a map of the building and capturing tape. It would be an important item.

"So there's a fifteen minute timer and the good guys don't know the level the bomb is on, right?" Asido asked, in order to confirm the information.

"That is correct." All Might answered.

"Then the heroes are at a real disadvantage." Ashido remarked.

"If you really think about it, whenever a hero is in these types of situations, the heroes are almost always at a disadvantage because they don't know where the big threat is or what situation they are running into is." Hailey summarized to put things into perspective for her new friend.

"That's right, heroes always have to persevere, even when the odds aren't in our favour." All Might exclaimed.

A feeling of pride and validation swelled in Hailey's chest, after hearing All Might agree with her logic.

Midoriya and Bakugou's game of cat and mouse went on for a little while longer, before Bakugou released a large explosion against All Might's instruction, it's power shook the whole building.

Bakugou continued to use strong attacks, while avoiding using his gauntlet again, knowing that All Might would stop the battle and give the win to Midoriya and Uraraka.

"This is kinda hard to watch." Hailey confessed quietly, hating how the situation was for her new friend. She was worried for him, as if Hailey had known Midoriya for years.

"I know what you mean, Bakugou might be taking this too far." Kirishima replied, his eyes glued to the screen.

"All Might, "Hailey suddenly called to their teacher, "I understand that you have better judgment than us as a pro hero and our teacher than us students, but I don't think that Bakugou is going to show Midoriya any mercy and he'll take it way too far."

All Might's silence and lack of response made Hailey feel a rise of anger inside of her, but rather than calling him out and contradicting herself, she clenched her fist at her side and remained quiet.
