Ch.2 Spark Your Story
"Why do I feel like I'm on the wrong floor?" Hailey awkwardly asked herself as she couldn't find the sign that she was looking for.
Hailey glanced around for an upperclassman that looked friendly enough to give her directions. Upon noticing a small group of four female second years, Hailey decided to take her chances with them, at least one could potentially help if the others were mean, right?
"Uh, excuse me?" Hailey meekly called out to the girls as she approached them.
A tall brunette gave her a friendly smile, "Hi, yes?"
A shorter tan brunette with an undercut and short ponytail looked to her too, "What's up?"
"I don't know if I'm on the right floor, I'm trying to get to Class 1-A and keep getting lost." Hailey admitted sheepishly.
"Oh, you're on the right floor, just the wrong side." The blonde answered, pointing to the way that Hailey should go.
Hailey bowed her head with appreciation, "Thanks so much!"
"Good luck, you're gonna need it." The tanned one remarked as Hailey began to walked off in a rush.
Hailey kept her attention on the signs that were on higher on the corners of the wall and just as she noticed she was where she wanted to be, she bumped into someone's back and fell back onto her butt.
"Ah ouch." Hailey hissed in pain.
The person turned around and was very apologetic to Hailey.
"Aw crap! Sorry about that, I guess I was too distracted with making sure I was in the right place that I didn't notice I was in the way." He sheepishly apologized and offered Hailey a hand.
Hailey smiled and took his hand, allowing the spikey red haired male to pull her up. "It's all good, I was too distracted with the same thing that I didn't pay attention to my surroundings. Are you looking for Class 1-A too?"
The redhead's eyes beamed and he nodded, "Yeah! I kept circling this floor because I forgot the directions that we were given. Guess this means we'll be classmates then?"
"Yep, looks like it. I'm Hailey Roselle." Hailey introduced. "Nice to meet you!"
"You too! I'm Eijirou Kirishima." The redhead grinned and shook hands with her in a friendly manner.
"I'm gonna be completely honest that I'm a nervous wreck about stepping through that door." Hailey confessed as the both of them turned to face the closed sliding door.
"Me too, been waiting for this moment for so long that it almost doesn't feel real." Kirishima agreed.
"You wanna go first or should we both bask in the glory of it for one more minute?" Hailey remarked, teasing the both of them.
Kirishima chuckled, "Maybe we bask in the classroom?"
"That seems like a good compromise." Hailey giggled and slid open the door to the classroom.
But as she went to step into the classroom, she was suddenly ran into by another person and knocked down to the ground.
"Ah jeez." Hailey winced before looking to the greenhaired boy who had landed onto her.
He looked up at Hailey and blushed while he profusely apologized.
"I am so sorry! I wasn't sure if I was running late and I should have been paying attention to where I was going - I didn't mean to knock you down and put you in this- this-" He then realized how he was positioned over her, "C-Compromising position." He squeaked as his face reddened.
"Hey, hey, don't stress about it. It would be bad if you weren't excited to be here and trample people to get here." Hailey assured him with a laugh.
The greenhaired boy stood up, helping Hailey up as well while nervously sweating and averting his eyes away from her.
"You're not having much luck getting into the classroom, huh Roselle?" Kirishima joked.
"S-Sorry again." He apologized again.
Hailey grinned, "Seriously, no worries! Are you looking for Class 1-A too?"
The greenhaired male nodded, "Y-Yeah I am."
"Perfect! We're gonna be classmates! I'm Hailey Roselle!"
"O-Oh! I'm Izuku Midoriya." The greenhaired boy introduced, a bit starstruck with Hailey's optimic and upbeat personality.
"Standing in the doorway seems to be a great way to make friends. Should have been using this tactic earlier in my life." Hailey commented comedically.
Suddenly a low, gruff voice chimed in with an annoyed tone, "If you're only here to make friends, you can pack your stuff now."
The three students turned around and stared at the man-catapillar thing that was on the floor of the hallway.
"Dude what is that?"
"What the-"
"What is that?!"
"Welcome to U.A.'s hero course." He grumbles as he pulled out a squeezable snack and aggressively sucked on it.
'My guy, what the actual fuck?' Hailey questioned in confused horror.

The man unzipped and exited the yellow sleeping bag and introduced himself as Mr Aizawa, Class 1-A's homeroom teacher. As he tossed his sleeping bag under his podium desk, the students found their assigned seating arrangement. Hailey found her seat behind a girl with purple assymetrtical fringe styled hair, but as luck would have it, she sat in the middle of her two newest friends, with Midoriya on her left and Kirishima on her right.
Mr Aizawa then instructed his students to go to the change rooms and meet him out on the training field so that they could partake in a quirk testing session.
Hailey followed her classmates out the door, staying close to either Kirishima or Mirdoriya when she could.
She noticed Midoriya's anxious expression and offered him some comfort.
"You nervous?" She questioned gently.
Midoriya bit him lip and fiddled with his fingers, "A little bit yeah, my quirk isn't really good with these kinds of things."
"Oh? What kind of quirk do you have?" Hailey questioned with curiousity.
Midoriya made a surprised noise as he struggled to tell Hailey what his quirk was, but was fortenutely saved by Kirishima asking Hailey about what she thinks to expect with the quirk test, unaware of what the conversation was before.
"I'm not sure, but if its running laps, I might die. I hate running, even if I use my quirk." Hailey sighed, as she was not looking forward to what was to come.
"I hope there is something with strength, its kinda my specialty." Kirishima added.
"That's neat, I'm good with mostly flexibility since I figure skated for a long time and throwing I guess since I played softball." Hailey noted. "Did you guys do any sports too?"
"Not really." Kirishima admitted, "I only really focused on working out."
"Epic, what about you Midoriya?" Hailey inquired to her other acquaintance.
"O-Oh, I didn't really do sports either, I kinda did the same as Kirishima." Midoriya answered.
"That's still pretty cool, the both of you can rely on your bodies more than just your quirk that way." Hailey encouraged, while smiling brightly at the two.
"Thanks Roselle, I haven't really thought about it like that." Midoriya relaxed a bit, which made Hailey feel prideful that she was able to help him calm down.
"Guess I'll see you guys out there." Hailey waved as they approached the change rooms and she followed the girls into their designated one.
