Hailey felt that as soon as she blinked, she was no longer with her classmates on solid ground, but suddenly falling from the air. Quickly assessing how close she was from the ground, Hailey gained control of her form; flipping herself to land gracefully onto the landslide terrain. Once touching the ground, she expelled an echo-wave to better see if she had any opponents that she would have to fight like the villain hinted.

'Three villains approaching.' Hailey thought as she ducked and hid behind a small hill.

"Pretty sure that kid landed over here!" One of the villains roaming around called to the others.

"Now or never." Hailey muttered to herself as she heard the footsteps come closer. 

Hailey grabbed onto the edge of the hill and lifted herself backward and summoned three turquoise boost wavelengths, kicking the approaching villain in his abdomen, launching him away and into the other two villains that were following behind him. Hailey landed in a crouch and stood up, facing where she had launched the villains and was in a readied position to fight. 

The villains landed a few feet away from Hailey, the first villain had the wind knocked out of him and the other two villains were out cold.

"What? I thought this was a fight? My Grandma could have beaten you guys, and she's a literal twig." Hailey remarked in confidence.

Hailey discretely released another echo wave, to confirm that those were the only enemies in the area. She suddenly sensed someone getting close to her, Hailey turned to see someone throwing a spear at her. Using her quick reflexes, she caught the spear with her hand, while avoiding being impaled by it.

She glared threatening at the villain, her eyes glowed a bright turquoise, but she smirked. "I think you lost something."

The villain used their quirk to summon more spears, Hailey's expression turned into annoyance. The spears were flung towards Hailey, she used the one in her hand to pull herself into the air, but sticking it into the ground and flipping to avoid all of the spears. Grabbing another spear when she landed on the ground, using it to deflect more that the villain aimed and shot at her. Hailey inched herself closer to the villain who persisted with throwing spears at her, while she spun the one in her hand to deflect them. 

Once close enough to the villain, Hailey kicked the ground, sending a three-ring charged boost wavelength towards the villain, launching him a ways away. The spears disappeared, as Hailey guessed the villain was knocked out as they made contact with the ground.

Hailey decided that her next objective was to find some of her classmates and try to regroup or escape to find help. "If I don't find anyone, maybe I'll try and find Mr Aizawa and help him out. His quirk will only last for so long." Hailey murmured to herself, concerned about her teacher. 

She ran across the terrain that was designed for dealing with mudslides, away from the wall, in hopes of finding the middle of the facility to better see her options. As Hailey's feet made contact with the ground, she expelled echo-waves in case of sensing an enemy or a classmate. 

Unfortunately, she felt multiple presences to her left, on another level of cliff. Hailey wasn't able to sneak a peek at the commotion going on above, as a villain called out that they spotted her, so she boosted herself at the villain and punched them unconscious, but in plain view of the other villains. 

"You know, you guys have real shit timing." Hailey exclaimed to the villains, "I was really looking forward to rescue training! You couldn't have waited until, oh I dunno, until we had combat training? I mean this is really easy, I've already taken out what? About five or six of you? So I mean, sure, add to the count, I'll keep a tally." She taunted.

Before anyone could attack, Hailey noticed a thick sheet of ice beginning to capture the villains, so she quickly boosted herself into a jump in order to avoid being caught in it herself. 

As all the villains were captured in ice, Hailey landed onto the ground, cautious of the now slippery ground. Todoroki walked out in his hero costume.

"Thank you for gathering and distracting them, Roselle." Todoroki noted as he approached her.

"Happy to help, I guess?" Hailey shrugged, not sure whether to accept the credit or not. But then she paused in thought, "Wait, I thought there was another guy on the right.." 

Hailey expelled a discrete echo-wave, only to find her suspicions correct, feeling a presence move to jump out from the cliff below them. She charged up three boost waves around her right wrist as she felt him leave the ground.

Todoroki looked up and noticed the hideaway villain, "Roselle look-" He warned, readying his own attack, only to be surprised to see Hailey reacting quickly and punching the villain in the stomach with her charged fist, launching the villain a great distance away.

Hailey turned back to her classmate, "Is it just me or are these guys kind of pathetic? I was kind of expecting more, that's kind of cocky isn't it?"

Todoroki shook his head, "No, they should feel embarrassed that they were beaten by children." He replied and turned to the trapped villains.

"Should we go help some of our other classmates?" Hailey inquired, "I don't really like leaving them surrounded like we were, some quirks aren't as easy to rely on like ours."

"These villains, they were woefully unprepared. I doubt they had any training, they don't have the slightest idea how to use their quirks." Todoroki answered and provided his insight, "A majority of these villains are low-level thugs, there are only four of them that we should be worried about."

"I see, Thirteen and Mr Aizawa have a handle on those ones. Probably why they underestimated us." Hailey added, "Like the warp guy said, they're here to kill All Might, since he isn't here, draw him out by trapping us students as hostages, kill us if they think that'll cause a reaction."

"That's my theory as well, but we'll need more information before we act." Todoroki then made a decision, turning to the villains and speaking to them, "Listen well, if you stay frozen, your cells will slowly die as your body succumbs to frostbite and hypothermia."

Hailey gave her classmate a surprised look, 'Jeez, this dude is kind of scary cool.'

"Luckily for you, I wanna be a hero. So I'd like to avoid any unnecessary cruelty." Todoroki continued to sway the villains with his threats. He slowly approached a villain who had tears in his eyes, Todoroki's feet cracked some of the ice as he got closer, adding to his already intimidating aura. "But I can only do that if you plan to tell us how you plan to kill All Might. That's the only way you'll survive." Todoroki emitted frost from his palm that he put in front of the same teary-eyed villain, causing him to panic and try to squirm.

Seeing how they were so close to getting results, Hailey picked up a stray crowbar that a villain was using a weapon earlier but dropped it and avoided being lost in Todoroki's ice. 

"Aw, you're going too easy on them, maybe they'll be more inclined to spill the information if we start kicking off limbs." Hailey smirked, her eyes glowed threateningly, as she stared at the same villain. "I wonder if the nerves are dead enough that you'll be too numb to feel this?" She then lined herself up, lining the crowbar like a golf club and the villain's leg being the target.
