After dinner that day, Payal noticed her mom nudge her dad as they gestured silently to each other." What is it?" said Payal agitated.Her mom quickly took the oppurtunity " I went to Padma's place today morning for the Kashi pooja.That boy Padma was talking about, his mother came there too. I saw her many years ago. She is still the same sweet, down to earth lady.She seemed interested in us.Her husband is in Ahmedabad, he works for a bank.He would be retiring in an year so they want to get their son married before that.They got their daughter married last year.So basically the guy is free of all responsibilities.They are very good people. She asked if her son could meet you personally. See, we are also modern people, in today's generation it is all common. So I said yes."Payal gave her mom a stern look " Don't you glare at me now.You said you will get married.That is why I am doing all this"" Where does the guy work" asked Payal."He works for some United something but its a huge company." Payal smiled sarcastically as her motyer struggled to recolect the name." UHC, ya UHC i remember now.Have you heard of it?" Payal looked at her, surprised.Her father recognized the name " Hey isn't that the company whose project you have recently taken up?"he said."Yes dad.What is the guy's name" she asked, now curious ." Padma aunty said she will mail you all the details.Now stop interrogating me" said her mother . Payal went to bed that night with a ray of hope.

The next day at office, she kept checking her mail more often than on anyother day.She was expecting a mail from Padma aunty.She did not understand wether she was just curious or was she pinning her hopes on the guy being Viren.She would jump at the beep of her phone whenever there was a new mail.She had to finally turn the notifications off so that she could concentrate on work.Whole of her day went by in drifting away from work, imagining scenarios in case it was Viren.By the end of the day, as she was giving up, her computer screen popped a new mail.Wanting to give one last try,she opened it.There was an attatchment with the mail,a two pages document which looked like a Resume. She had a huge smile as she looked at the name.It was Viren Jain.Though she had no idea what his full name was, she had a feeling it was him.The document contained information of his education,current job, about his siblings,parents,birth date ,time and some other information that was of no interest to Payal.She would rather know his likes,dislikes,hobbies, his future plans but then she realized she knew a few of these already.She wanted to meet him, now looking at him in a different perspective.She told herself to take one step at a time.She started home and made sure to take a copy of the document else her parents would pounce on her.

Viren was having a busy day at office or rather he was keeping himself busy to avoid thinking of Sneha.His mom had called during the lunch break to tell him about a very good alliance.The details she gave were very vague and he did not know how to react.He said "Lets see" and cut the call.Since then he had been troubled by the thoughts of Sneha.That evening his mom gave him in detail the happenings of the meeting with Payal's mother.Viren was half attentive, his mind elsewhere.He had not registered Payal's name nor anyother detail.He was not sure if he was ready for this. Right now the only thing on his mind was not to hurt his parents any longer.He struggled to put himself to sleep as he needed rest.The next day he had to attend the interviews at MST.
