Wei Ying's POV

I woke up to the smell of food and my stomach grumbled louder than ever.

"Are you finally awake? It's noon already."

"You sound as if that is my fault alone..." I mumbled and stretched myself extensively.

"I am indeed your partner in crime." I heard him chuckling before he walked into my sight. "Get up, my love. You didn't eat since yesterday morning."

"That too is not alone my fault." I smiled and got out of bed. I regretted this immediately as my legs gave in and I would have surely fallen on the ground if Wang Ji didn't catch me. "You didn't hold back at all...." I mumbled and laughed when Wang Ji picked me up to carry me to the table.

"You didn't want me to hold back, did you?" He smiled and I felt my cheeks heating up knowing full well that he was right.

"I am hungry..." I said to change the topic.

"Eat." He shoved the bowl of rice in front of me and topped it with a lot of chicken and vegetables. I smiled brightly and dug in while he was watching me with a soft smile before starting to eat as well.

I was so fixated on Wang Ji that I didn't notice Wen Ning standing some meters away. The moment my eyes met his, he looked away. I tilted my head in confusion and looked at Wang Ji.

"He knows exactly why it took you so long to wake up. He is too shy to look at you."

"Wen Ning, yesterday we-"

"I know, your Highness. The two of you missed each other a lot. There is no need to explain." His cheeks turned dark red and I suppressed a laugh.

"Don't you want to join us?"

"I already had my meal earlier, your Highness. I also prepared your bath so once you are done with your meal, you should hurry up and get ready."

"Get ready for what?" I asked confused and it was Wang Ji who answered.

"Not you, but I. There is a court session set in a few hours and I have to attend."

I frowned. "You just came back from the mortal realm and already have to attend those meetings?"

"I have to report about what happened in the mortal realm. Don't worry, it won't take long. Once I am done I will come back and belong only to you."

I sighed. "Fine. Let's eat quickly and take a bath."

"Mhn." He smiled and we continued eating in silence.

 After breakfast, or rather lunch, we entered the bathroom.

"My love, you just ate 4 big portions. I don't think it's a good idea to take a bath now." Wang Ji said and I blushed.

"Are you calling me a pig? Do you have to mention the exact amount of portions? I didn't eat since yesterday morning so I was allowed to dig in. It's not like I eat that much every day...." I pouted and he chuckled.

"That is not what I mean. Taking a bath right after the meal is not good. How about you wait until you digest some of it, hm?"

"The best way to digest is to take part in some exercises," I told him with raised brows, and seeing his eyes darken he understood me.

"Wei Ying, you-"

"Exactly!" I grinned and pushed him into the water before joining him. Our garments left our bodies one after the other and soon the room was filled with moans.

"Your Highness, is it a good idea to provoke his Highness like this? I fear your body will break any time." Wen Ning told me worriedly while his face told me how embarrassed he was talking about this kind of topic.

"My body is strong and long used to Wang Ji and his strength. It won't break easily." I answered and my mind was filled with the memories of my time with him in the bathroom. My body was covered with love bits and I felt content.

I heard Wen Ning sighing. "It would have surprised me if you agreed to my worries."

I laughed and turned to him. "Say, is there anyone you are interested in? Maybe once you fell in love you will understand why I can't get enough of Wang Ji."

"I am not interested in anyone." He said and shook his head. "I don't think I am fit for a relationship. I don't want one soon anyway. I am happy to just watch the two of you."

I raised my brows and looked at him teasingly. "You are happy to watch us?"

"Your Highness!!" Wen Ning's cheeks turned dark red and he started to huff.

I couldn't help but tease him a little. Since Wang Ji was back, I felt delighted and free. Teasing Wen Ning then and now was amusing too. Right now I was happy with my life.

"My love, are you teasing Wen Ning again?" Wang Ji entered my bedroom and I smiled.

"Just a little. How was the meeting?"

"Boring." He answered. "I am sure the other princes already sent a report of what happened but everyone still wanted to hear my version."

"Let them be. They have nothing to do anyway."

"Are you not interested?"

"About what happened? Not at all. After a throughout examination last night and earlier today, I did not find any bruises. Well, at least none that was not done by me. That is enough for me. I don't want to hear how you were in danger or almost died. I also don't want to hear a thing about any mortal trying to take you from me. As long as you have come back and won't leave me again, I am happy."

Wang Ji smiled and gave me a soft kiss. "I love you too, Wei Ying."

I wrapped my hands around his waist and took in the smell I missed so much. I felt satisfied until I saw his aura. I leaned back and looked up at him with raised brows.

He understood my unspoken question right away. "There is something I would like to show you."

"What is it? A gift?" I asked curiously and he nodded. "Where is it?"

"Not here...." He answered and chuckled seeing me frown. "It's my birthday gift for you."

"It's not my birthday yet."

"I know there is still a week left but I would like to show you your gift already. I want to be the first one to gift you something."

"The first one?" I asked with a deeper frown. "Don't tell me...-"

"Yes, like every year, brother is planning a birthday banquet for you. I heard about it earlier."

I gritted my teeth. "What is wrong with him!? After everything he had done, he is still behaving like a good husband! I won't go!"

"Forget about that for now. Let me show you your gift." He patted my back and I forgot my anger for a moment.

"What could my gift be for you to get this nervous?" I asked, watching his aura in amusement.

"Close your eyes, my love." He asked me. "And don't cheat!"

I laughed and he took my hand in his. Soon I felt a pull at my stomach. "My gift is in the mortal realm?" I asked curiously.

"Don't cheat!" He demanded and despite my eyes being closed, I knew he was pouting.

"I wasn't, Wang Ji. I felt the pull." I told him softly.

"Right... I forgot... but don't look yet anyway." He answered nervously and it made my heart skip a beat. I seldom saw him this nervous so it was exciting. What could my gift be?

He directed me as I walked slowly next to him. Soon he stopped and I was so close to just opening my eyes but I didn't. I waited for Wang Ji's permission.

"This.... I saw this a while ago and thought about you... I mean, I thought about us and our future. I thought how unhappy you are right now..."

"I am not unhappy, Wang Ji. As long as I am with you, I am happy. As long as I have you, I don't need anything else." I felt the need to tell him that.

"I know. I didn't mean it like this. I mean ... well..." He seemed to be at loss for words so I gently squeezed his hands.

"May I open my eyes?" I asked him softly and once I felt Wang Ji's fingers tighten around mine I heard his answer.

"Mhn. Open them."

I immediately open them and found myself in front of a beautiful house. It looked a little similar to that where I lived with my grandma years ago but this one was more beautiful and looked bigger and more expensive.

"This is....?" I turned to Wang Ji whose ears turned pink due to his being nervous.

"House."

I laughed out loud. "So this is what a house looks like, huh?" I teased him, making his neck turn pink as well.

"Our house." He added another word. In my opinion the most important word.

"Our house? You mean...?" I looked at the building again and felt my heart starting to race. "You mean you want us to live here?"

"Mhn." He raised his hand and gently turned my face back to him "I bought this house thinking how it would suit us perfectly. Living here, together and far away from the immortal realm. I know you said you can't leave there because of your daughters. I understand and accept that. But I hope you could think about living here with me. I can see you are not happy in the immortal realm."

"I am ha-"

"I know. You are happy when you are with me. I am happy when I am with you too. But that doesn't change the fact that you don't like it in the immortal realm. You said you didn't want to leave because of your daughters and I won't force you to leave there either. I just... I hope you can maybe think about it. Moving here with me. Living together, just the two of us."

"Wang Ji...." I looked at him in awe. "The immortal realm, the heavenly realm, and the royal palace are your home. You were born there I don't know how many years ago and you lived there until now. And yet you would leave your home just to be with me?"

"You are my home, my love. Wherever you are, there is my home. I don't need the heavenly realm or the royal palace nor the title of a prince. I also don't need my father or my brother to be happy. All I need is you. All I want is you, Wei Ying. Only you."

Before I knew what I was doing I pulled him into a kiss. I wrapped my arms around his neck and clung to him while I deepened the kiss even more. His hand wrapped around my waist as his tongue slipped into my mouth, looking for its mate. One of his hands moved lower and palmed my butt, making me moan into the kiss as our fronts collided.

After what felt like a lifetime, we parted. I knew if we didn't, we would have gone further. We never did it in the open before. But seeing that this house was deep in the woods and probably hard to find, who knew what the future would bring us?

"Wang Ji...." I looked into his eyes once again. "Do we have to leave here? Can't we just not go back to the immortal realm?" I asked hopefully, waiting for his answer.

"You... you agree to-?"

"Yes." I nodded. "If you are sure you won't ever regret leaving the immortal realm, then let's do it. I don't like it there. My daughters.... I am sure they will understand. I don't want them to find out what happened between Lan Huan and me but I am sure if they knew they would understand. I know that they are happy right now, that is all I need to know."

"They would surely understand. And I won't regret anything, my love. But...."

I tilt my head, knowing what he was about to say wouldn't fit my liking.

"We can't stay here yet. The house is not done, my love. The back of the house needs to be fixed as due to a storm a few months back, it was destroyed. They are already half done with it but it will take at least another 3 or 4 months before they are done."

"So.... three to four days, right?" I calculated and once Wang Ji nodded, I smiled. "Then let's leave right after that stupid birthday of mine."

"It's not stupid, my love. The day of your birth is the best day of my life."

I blushed and hit him playfully. "You know what I mean..."

"Mhm. I know." He smiled and pecked my lips.

"Is it possible to leave without them knowing?" I asked carefully and the frown on Wang Ji's face didn't look like there was a positive answer to that.

"Leaving shouldn't be a problem. But staying hidden could. Knowing my brother he would look for you everywhere and it might be only a matter of time before he will. But don't worry, my love. I am positive that he won't find us anytime soon. I will protect you."

"But-"

"Trust me, Wei Ying." He looked at me with such honesty and determination that I knew I had nothing to worry about.

"I do." I turned around and looked at our future home. "I can't wait for us to move here. I already know our life will be perfect."

"Mhn. It will." I turned back to him, raised both my hands, and caressed his cheeks.

"I love you, Wang Ji."

"I love you more, Wei Ying."

We stayed there for a few hours more and Wang Ji gave me a tour of our property. The back of the house indeed looked a little battered but this could be fixed within a few months for sure. There were three bedrooms, two bathrooms, one living room, and one kitchen that included a dining room. The garden was huge and to be honest, it was difficult to determine where the garden ended and the woods started. As it was almost autumn, the trees were losing their leaves but they looked beautiful.

It was early in the day in the mortal realm and soon the workers, who were fixing the house arrived to continue their work. They looked rather poor but happy. They greeted us respectfully and soon were busy fixing the house and I promised to give them a raise once they were done. I knew that earning money here was difficult, especially during the cold season.

Wang Ji and I bid them goodbye and left for the immortal realm that I knew would leave soon with my beloved.

Once we were back, Wen Ning greeted us with a snack. Seeing him made me think that I wouldn't dare to leave him here. If I had the time I would ask him to come with us. Wang Ji agreed with my opinion. Wen Ning was family too after all. I really hope he would agree.

The days passed quickly. I didn't leave my palace once knowing what was happening outside this building. I would often take a walk through the garden and hear how busy most of the servants were preparing the banquet for my birthday. I heard that no expenses were spared and to me, it looked like Lan Huan was trying to make up for his mistake.

The morning after Wang Ji had returned, Lan Huan moved out. Thankfully without bidding goodbye. I heard he moved into Wen Qing's palace but they were sleeping in separate rooms.

I sometimes caught Lan Huan standing in front of my palace but he never announced himself or tried to enter and meet me. It was good to see that he was ashamed of himself after what he had done to me. He was ashamed and felt guilty. I have never once seen Lan Huan's aura this dark but I couldn't care less.

Honestly, I couldn't understand what he would gain by arranging a banquet for my birthday. True, he did so every year since we married but after the recent events, he shouldn't bother at all. If it were not for that, I would have moved with Wang Ji to the mortal realm already.

Wang Ji told me this morning that our house would be done within a month, which means by tomorrow. Just in time for my birthday.

'Our house...' I smiled to myself. I was happy to finally be able to leave my life in the immortal realm behind and live with Wang Ji. We could do and say what we wanted, without caring if anyone saw us or not.

"What are you thinking, my love?" Wang Ji showed up and hugged me from behind.

"I am happy. I can't wait to leave here." I leaned back and his chin rested on my head. "Are you sure you want to leave here?" I lost count of how many times I had asked him this in the last couple of days. I knew he would do everything for me but I didn't want to force him to leave here. We weren't just talking about a couple of years but about forever. Once he left he wouldn't be able to come back here.

"I am. I will follow you everywhere, my love." I turned to him and looked into his eyes. Caressing his cheeks I leaned closer and kissed him softly. That was all that it was supposed to be. A soft kiss. But Wang Ji thought differently as he pressed me to his body, deepening the kiss once my lips fell on his.

His right hand wandered down my back, moved to the front, and slipped under my garments before it made its way toward my behind. Once his long and slim fingers stroke over my entrance I let out a soft moan, telling him to hurry up. When his hands didn't move further I used my left hand to direct his fingers where I wanted them to be. It wouldn't make me satisfied but I loved it when he teased me there. It made me shiver in excitement for what would come next.

His first finger entered and immediately hit my weak spot, making my legs shake. The second finger joined the first and soon the third one followed suit. I was trembling and without Wang Ji's help, I wouldn't be able to stand on my own.

I couldn't explain the need I had for Wang Ji. I couldn't be without him, not even a day. I was addicted to him and feeling Wang Ji's tail growing hard while poking at my front made it clear, that he was just as addicted to me as I was to him.

"Your Highness, I just prep- Ohh! E-excuse me!" Wen Ning entered the room and once he saw what he wasn't supposed to he left immediately.

"Wang Ji, stop. Wen Ning-"

"Can wait." He pulled me back into a deep kiss and wouldn't let go of me no matter how much I asked him to stop. Not that I asked that often.

He picked me up and carried me towards the bed where he put me down gently before getting rid of our garments and hovering on top of me. He then checked me out. His eyes moved from my head down to my chest and lower to my hips where his gaze stayed for a long time. I shivered u excitement.

"Hurry...." I moaned impatiently and spread my legs. I earned a chuckle from him before he finally moved between my legs and entered me.

"I didn't have time to ask Wen Ning yet about him coming with us..." I mumbled while cuddling into Wang Ji's arms.

"No time or too scared he would decline?" He asked softly and I huffed.

"The latter...."

"If he declines then so be it. We can't force him."

"But he is family!"

"So because he is family you want to force him?"

"No!" I said firmly. "I mean because he is family I want him to come with us."

"Don't think too much, my love. I am sure he will come with us. Or at least consider it. There should be no reason to decline, I think."

"If you keep seducing me while he is close, I am sure he would rather stay here than come with us. Can't you keep your hands to yourself?" I mumbled with a pout.

"It's true that I am seducing you but you are the one allowing me to do that, my love."

"As if I can say no to you...."

I heard him laughing softly and soon felt his lips on my forehead. "Tomorrow is your birthday, my love."

I smiled happily. "When will we depart?"

"After the banquet is over. Maybe during midnight." He said and pulled me closer. "Until then I will make sure to keep my brother away from you."

"I doubt he will even think about approaching me." I yawned. "What time is it?"

"One hour before midnight. Go to sleep, my love. You will need all your energies tomorrow."

"Whose fault is it that I don't have any left?" I mumbled and snuggled closer.

Another soft laugh. "Sweet dreams, Wei Ying."

"By the way, Wen Ning, what did you want to say yesterday?" I asked him before letting another tablespoon of rice enter my mouth. I would need all the energy for tonight's adventure.

"Ah... ehm..." His cheeks turned red and he looked away. "Nothing important. I had prepared a bath for you but... I figured out you didn't ... ahm... need it...." His cheeks turned even redder and I felt bad.

"I am sorry you had to-"

"Oh, I didn't see anything at all, Your Highness. This is your palace and you can do whatever you want. It was my fault for not knocking. I apologize for that mistake." I saw Wang Ji looking at Wen Ning in amusement.

"We are still sorry, right Wang Ji?" I glared at him and he laughed silently.

"Are we?" He asked innocently. I stomped on his food and that made him smile even more.

"I will go and prepare your garments for today's banquet." Wen Ning stood up and was about to leave when Wang Ji held him back.

"Don't choose something extravagant, Wen Ning. A simple garment should be enough."

"Yes, Your Highness."

"Oh, and prepare another bath."

"But didn't the two of you already have one...?"

"Yes. But we will need another one." Wen Ning's face turned as red as never before and he run out of the room. Once Wen Ning was gone I glared at him.

"Was that necessary?"

"Another bath? Yes, it is. I want to cuddle you some more before we get ready for the banquet."

"Are ever sated?"

"How about you?" He asked back and I quickly changed the topic.

"Why a simple garment?"

Wang Ji, who realized my change of topic just smiled. "I won't let him think you got dressed because of him."

"I don't want to attend at all. I just want to leave here and live with you in our house."

"Are you done eating?"

"Not yet. I still feel like I am starving. Why?" I looked at him and saw his aura. I widened my eyes and gulped.

It took me 15 minutes to finish three more bowls before Wang Ji lost his patience, picked me up, and went into the bathroom. Ever since he came back from the mortal realm he seemed to be even hornier than before. He couldn't keep his hands, and other body parts, to himself at all. And I was just as bad as I never rejected him.

'Will we both ever get enough of each other?' I thought amused while giving myself to the love of my life.
