It has been three whole years since the incident at Professor Oak's summer camp, where he got attacked by angry Pinsir and saved by a Tauros.  Since then, Ash had one goal in mind to become the greatest Normal-type Pokémon master, and starting tomorrow morning, he will be getting his very first Pokémon. 

Now that Ash Ketchum is finally ten years old he can now officially get his Pokémon trainer license, you see ten ten-year-old's here in in the Kanto Region can get their Pokémon trainer license from Professor Oak as well as receive their first Pokémon. 

Ash was currently seen in his bedroom watching an epic Pokémon battle on the epic battle between Onix belonging to the elite four members named Bruno and Nidoqueen belonging to a girl named Elizabeth the winner of last year's Indigo League.

However, Ash's excitement was soon interpreted by the sound of his bedroom opening loudly, making him jump in surprise as he saw a slender woman around 29 years old with fair skin and brown eyes on the other side of the door. She has smooth red hair pulled back in a ponytail with a green scrunched. She was wearing a pink nightgown with green slippers.

"Mom," Ash gasped in, surprised at the sound of his door being slammed open.

"Ash Ketchum, you should be getting ready for bed it is almost midnight," Delia said, looking at the clock on the nightstand don't want to be late for Professor Oak's lab, and try not to breathe alarm clock not after getting a new one yesterday," She stated pointing at the alarm clock.

Ash looked at his alarm clock and rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly as a few days ago he was dreaming about catching his first Pokémon, and ended up tossing his alarm clock in his sleep hitting a wall and causing it to break that his mom had to buy him a brand new one.

"I promise that I will be careful with it," Ash said. "I don't want to miss out on getting a Pokémon."

"Brush your teeth and get your pajamas on then off to bed with you," Delia said in a commanding tone.

"Alright, I'm going," Ash said, rushing towards the bathroom to get changed into his pajamas and brush his teeth.

Delia then left the room after she turned the TV off and placed the remote on the TV stand.

Meanwhile, elsewhere...

A sixteen-year-old male with short blonde hair that  cover one of his ears and an bang in the middle of his forehead and has green eyes slightly and was wearing an yellow and black jacket over an black shirt and tan pants with brown and black shoes with red shoelaces. This boy name was Timothy. 

He was currently outside of a large green house with a red roof talking to an young nine year old girl with long pink hair in twin ponytails and pink eyes wearing a white,blue,and pink dress with a white hat and pink boots.

"Big brother Timmy why must you go to Kanto?" The young girl asked. "Weren't you happy about the often?"

"I'm happy my lovable little sister Maisy about being qualify to be a gym leader, but I feel like I could improve so I'm going to enter the Indigo League and this time I will win," Timothy said smiling at his little sister.

"Fine I wish you would let me come with,"Maisy said. "I don't understand why me and Nicolas can't and you even didn't ask Kristina to come aren't you dating her already?" She asked.

"I know mother and father said you could come if I agree, but I think you should wait until your old enough to be a trainer and travel with your own friends," Timothy said ruffling his sister hair. "Also I don't see Kristina as more then a best friend and she understands that and stopped flirting with me."

"Fine then go big brother, but you better come back a winner and a girlfriend,"Maisy said hugging her big brother.

"Whatever you say now go get in bed it late and tell Nicholas I see him when I call now i need to hurry to the airport, "Timothy said ending the hug as he headed on off to the airport to catch his flight to Kanto.

Back in the Kanto Region...

The next morning the sound of the local Dodrio woke up from his perch and raised all three of hi heads and let out a loud cry as a wake up call to the sleeping citizens of Pallet Town.

Ash woke up with a start as he heard the Dodrio cry and nearly fell out of his bed in surprise, but caught himself and got out of bed and noticed his clock on the floor in pieces and realize he broke it once again in his sleep.

"Oh, no what time is it?!"He shouted rushing out of his room in his pajamas.

"Where do you think you're going?" Delia asked stopping Ash in his tracks.

"To Professor Oak's laboratory, I don't want miss my chance of getting my starter Pokémon," Ash replied.

"You don't need to worry given you won't awake when I got done making breakfast. I took the initiative and contacted Samuel and he has a Pokémon prepared for you," Delia said with a smile. "So first breakfast then change into your clothes then you can leave."

Ash nodded as sat down at the table and began enjoying his breakfast, before he headed on upstairs to change out of his pajamas. Once he was dressed he head on off for professor oak's lab.

"I hope whatever Pokémon has for me is easy to handle like the Kanto starters is a normal type Pokémon," Ash said to himself as he rushed towards Professor Oak's lab.

  When As finally made it to the lab crowd was formed outside to see someone off judging by the cheerleader it was someone extremely popular. He pushed his way though the crowd to see non other then Gary Oak when he bumped into him.

"Hey watch were you're going," Gary said."Well if it isn't Ashy boy late as usual, but at least you get to see me off," He mocked.

Ash grit his teeth in annoyance as Gary pushes him out of the way and gets into his red car and takes off leaving the lab. Professor Oak then appears behind Ash.

"So you finally here Ash," Professor Oak said.

"Sorry I'm late, "Ash apologized.

"It's alright my boy,"Professor Oak replied. "Things happen, but i was able to find a starter that is prefect for you."

Ash followed Professor Oak into the lab and was lead to the room where beginning trainers receive their starter. In the center of the room was the console on the table that contained the starter Pokémon Pokeballs.

"Well, since you once broke an alarm clock causing you to oversleep you won't be getting a regular Kanto starter, "Professor oak told him."However it not a secret you want to become a normal type master,so I picked a normal type that should be easy but also challenging to handle, "He explained.

Professor Oak pressed a button on the console and a Pokeballs with a normal type symbol appeared. "And so I present you your starter Pokémon." 

Ash picked up the Pokeball and opened it sending out the normal type inside, when the light died down, a Meowth was revealed.

"Meowth," Meowth greeted licking itself.

"Hi there Meowth, "Ash greeted, picking up the Meowth and hugging it."My name is Ash Ketchum its nice to meet you. I hope you and I can become great friends with each other. You see I want to become the best normal type master there is, and if you come with me i help you grow and evolve."

Meowth, "Meowth said clawing Ash's arm, and freeing itself from his arms.

"Woah," ash said.

"I must warn you this Meowth not a fan of humans and will claw you if you touch him, "Oak said. "So you might have some issues if you get get in his comfort zone."

"I'll keep that in mind, Professor Oak, "Ash said as he gave Meowth some space.

"Now here is your Pokedex and some Pokeballs," Professor Oak said handing him the mentioned gear."Your Pokedex is your most important possession, as so is every Pokemon, and most importantly acts as your ID. So make sure not to lose it."

"Thank you, Professor Oak I understand, and make sure to keep my Pokedex safe," Ash said.

"You welcome now before you go if you truly want to master be an master of normal type Pokémon there someone you should meet," Professor Oak said looking at the backdoor in the lab."You mind coming here Tim my boy," he called out.

Ash then saw an sixteen year old male walk out of the backroom with bipedal rodent Pokémon that was covered in white fluffy fur with an yellow belly. it ears were round with white on the outside and yellow inside. there were circular blue marks on each cheeks were the electric sacs are, and it has round pink nose. it arms and feet have pink patches of fur at the end and the soles of it feet are yellow with white pads. on it back are blue stripes, and it has an long bushy tail that curls up like an half lighting bolt.

"This here is Timothy Magnolia he is one of the most skilled normal type trainer in the Amoxa region and that his partner Mina, the Amoxan Raichu," Professor oak said introducing the teen to Ash."He here to travel the Kanto region I recommend you travel with him and learn to be an normal type master."

"I would love to learn what I can from a skill trainer like Timothy, "Ash said looking at Timothy and his partner.

"It an pleasant to be an recommend mentor, "Timothy said stroking the head of Mina.

Ash walked out with Timothy by his side to see a crowd waiting to see him off formed by his mother Delia. As they walked with Meowth a few feet from Ash the crowd cheered.

"There he is," Delia announced.

"Mom what are you doing here?" Ash asked confused. "I thought i was coming home to get my bag."

"Well I couldn't have Gary have everyone cheer him on, and you have nobody," Delia said. "That wouldn't be fair to you."

Timothy quietly chuckle as he recall how his mom was when he went on his first journey.

Delia handed Ash his bag as he took it he put it on his back. "Thanks mom."

"Look at you all grown up," Delia said.

"Mom I'm only ten years old,"Ash responded.

"Yet still so young going out in the world," Delia said."Remember to change your clothes and was your face every day."

"Geez I will mom, "Ash groaned. "You embarrassing me in front of my mentor."

Timothy laughed."Hey don't worry I make sure Ash takes care of himself everyday, "He said patting Ash's shoulder.

"Hello there young man what your name?" Delia asked.

"My name is Timothy a trainer from Amoxa, "Timothy said with a friendly smile."Professor oak ask me to mentor Ash given I train normal types and been on multiple journeys already."

"Take goo care of my Ash," Delia said.

"I will."

"Thank you," Delia said. "So that your starter? "She asked looking at Meowth.

"Yeah, mom meet Meowth,"Ash replied. "Meowth meet my mom."

Meowth nodded before hiding behind Mina who was nest to Timothy. Delia looked at Meowth curiously. "How cute, but seems  nervous, and that one it behinds seem strong and cuddly."

"Oh, don't worry me and Meowth will become an great team and strong like Timothy partner, "Ash said with a wide smile looking at his Meowth."Well we should going there Pokémon to catch on route 1!" Ash exclaimed running off.

"Good luck Ash," Delia called out.

Timothy shook his head and rushed after Ash knowing he had his hands full with this kid.

Well here it is the second chapter of my story of ash being an normal type trainer. In this chapter Ash begins his journey of becoming an normal type trainer with his starter in Meowth due to oversleeping, and get his Pokedex from Professor Oak. He also meets his new mentor in Timothy who came to Kanto after saying goodbye to his little sister last night.
