◾️ Pants on fire ◾️
  
          Shivaay rubbed his eyes, slowly opening them to the high wavelength of light hitting him. Flashes of last night immediately started running across his mind. After his and Anika's  'talk' they both had returned to the bonfire. He remembered he and arnav jamming with the guitar, gauri and om slow dancing, rudra singing loudly in his croaky voice, the girls dancing like monkeys. He laughed remembering how Anika had gone total junglee with gauri swinging her hair, jumping on benches.
         Oh man what a night it was. And how could he forget that moment. How the fuck is he going to face Anika now. But she looked really cute though. He ran a hand through his hair grinning. This was getting hell weird.
      He got up and came out his tent to see only the girls sitting on the grass with empty tea cups beside them. Mallika and shruti were laughing their heads off while Anika was mimicking someone and gauri was utterly pissed. Oh she was mimicking Ri.  Suddenly Anika and mallika gave a high five to each other hugging each other. Mallika and Anika. Amusing. 

      Anika looked up to see shivaay staring at them with an amused face. Then at her and mallika's interlinked hands. Aah!! Now I get it. Jeez Anika you didn't tell him.

" Girls I'll come in a bit " Anika got up excusing herself.

" Haan, Haan go go he must be waiting for your  left over kiss after your romantic moment last night " gauri said with a smirk on her face.

     " Ri, you are gonna have it !! Wait for me " Anika quickly said jogging away. As she was going she could hear mallika asking gauri about it and gauri animatedly pouring out everything. And mallika will tell the whole world. Great !! Was the whole gang knowing it less that now the whole world will know what happened last night. Last night.
        What was that thing between them ? They being that close. It was kinda sweet but also a little weird. God !!facing him now was going to be so awkward.
      " Anika!! " shivaay clicked his fingers in front of her.

" Huh, yeah what happened?! "

" I said good morning !"

" Oh good morning! "

    Both of them looked everywhere except each other. Shivaay rubbed his palms. Why was he doing this

"  By the way,  did you have a change of mind towards mallika? "

" Oh yeah, actually we talked it all out and cleared all the mess up. Thanks to your pep talk last night.  " Anika smilingly said.

" Yeah last ....last.. night " shivaay put his sweaty hands in his pockets, looking around trying to avoid eye contact with Anika.

    Anika realizing the implication of it immediately looked away as well.

" Yeah last night " Anika said stressing on the word last.

" These guys are mad... Like totally nuts... Like who... hoots so much and stuff right.. " shivaay stammered while trying to decipher Anika's reaction from the corner of his eyes.

" Yeah I know... Totally mad.... Yes.. Like it was just a small thing... Wasn't it?! "  Anika looked at shivaay expectantly.

" Yeah, exactly ! I just wiped your...that... " shivaay said pointing towards her upper lip remembering that moment.

Flashback

   All of them were having a glass of hot haldi milk ready to chug it.
" Guys, Ready!!  One two three and CHUG!!! " Anika screamed and quickly started gulping her milk. All of them started chugging their cups of milk quickly to win the invisible and unannounced competition.
     All of them had finished their milk within a few seconds from each other leaving no scope of competition. That's when shivaay started laughing looking at Anika.
    Anika looked at him with questionable eyes when shivaay quickly raised his thumb and wiped her milky moustache from her upper lip.  Then the loud hooting of the gang brought them to senses and suddenly they realized their proximity.

" Guys stop behaving.. Like... like teenagers " shivaay said while peeping out of his half palmed face.

" And gauri stop nudging me with that typical ' kuch Kuch hota hai ' look of yours "  Anika said narrowing her eyes.

Gauri frowned " Acha ji , we should have taken a picture of you two to show why we were cheering you guys "
" True Ri , you guys were staring at each other from so long " om said.

" I know world record ban jaata " Rudy laughed stirring a row laughter.

" But guys, we shouldn't have disturbed their 'moment' "  shruthi said smirking.
" Yeah true, if we wouldn't have stopped ek kiss toh ho jaata " arnav joined laughing.
      All of them started pulling their legs while shivaay and Anika were half beetroot red due to the teasing and half confused because there wasn't anything romantic in that moment. Anika didn't look away because that would look ungrateful and shivaay because he was wondering why Anika wasn't looking away.

    Flashback over

" So even you think it wasn't romantic!! "

" Yeah of course you looked like a baboon, everything was far from being even the R of romance "

Shivaay and Anika then started shaking with laughter for two reasons one because it was a funny and two because the rest thought it to be a romantic moment.

" They try so hard to be matchmakers don't they " Anika giggled.

" True, especially gauri "

" Yeah that was my mistake, I once told her you look really hot when she showed me your  business magazine " Anika spilt in a hurry.

" Hot !! ....Well, thats the truth. Girls also say I look like a Greek God with my body and sexy blue eyes " shivaay smirked.

" Wait a minute before you give yourself a huge ego boost, let me tell you I said it to satisfy her never ending questions and end the topic. You just look passable."

" That's cool, anyway I have a heck lot of girls crazy for me baby so you saying that I am not hot doesn't mean a big deal to me. It just shows how bad you need an eye specialist "
Shivaay straightened his T-shirt smirking.

" First of all, your looks are somewhere between a cat and a German Shepard. Secondly, I think you need an eye specialist cause your blue eyes ain't working magic on me Mr. " Anika stepped closer to shivaay with each word. She was a finger away from shivaay giving him a flirty look. What did he think only he could play this game ? If he was the Romeo of his college, she was the sweetheart of hers.

And for the first time shivaay didn't have a more flirtatious comeback. He was stumped.

" Yeah..okay...like whatever... Btw why are the boys sleeping yet... I'll go and wake them " saying he was about to leave when Anika caught his hand.

" Wait, Shall we ....wake them up? "  Anika said with a cheeky smile and a naughty glint in her eyes. The boys were in danger and so was he. Because shivaay understood till now that Anika was up-to no good whenever she made that face .

" Please, don't do it!! Do you even know that it's a crime to do such assaults ?! Bechare, they are sleeping for godsake !! " shivaay whispered to the ladies.
     Gone were the sweet innocent girls,  they were scheming villains ready to wage a war. Shivaay being in minority was clearly given a deaf ear as the Girls were too busy in plotting. He had to do something to save the boys. Ignoring mallika's  previous don't wake them up without us, he tiptoed away from them and went to the boys tent.

" Here their pyre is being decorated and they are nicely sleeping. Wow. Someone should give me a Nobel Prize to save them from the devils outside. "

   Shivaay started shaking rudra and mohit while calling out to om and arnav.
" Bhaiya let us sleep pretty please " rudra complained.

" I know bro, let us sleep "

Arnav and om who had woken up also went back to sleep murmuring a " Bro code, if he is sleeping even we are sleeping "

" Guys understand, they are going to...... To you "
" Stop if shivaay,  the girls are sweet they won't do something that terrible " arnav muttered in sleep.

" Yeah, and I know you are just saying this to wake us up " om muttered.

" Bhaiya, you also sleep. I gave heard good sleep increases person's height. " rudra grinned in sleep.

   No no no. No one dares to go to there mister rudra Singh oberoi . Shivaay dropped his shoulders. The boys probably deserved the treatment. Sorry not probably. They deserved it. I did my job of telling. Now suffer lads. 

" Shivaay what are you doing here?  Did you wake them up and tell them?"  mallika said entering the tent with her gang of komolika's.
    Shivaay has a glance at the snoring lads and said " Nope,They are all yours. I surrender" .He raises his hands and moved back.

" Girls positions!!  " Anika commanded. Gauri and shruthi stood behind their beds with the weapons while Anika and mallika at the side.

" Anu did you on the camera? "
mallika whispered from across the beds.
" Yeah, done mallz " Anika gave a thumbs up.

    Anu and mallz. That progressed quickly thought shivaay who stood in front of the beds.

Anika signalled one two and three when shruti screamed
" COCKROACH!!!!!!!! "

     Cockroach really?  Shivaay laughed in his mind. The boys wouldn't wake up for such a teeny weeny creature. ..

     The boys woke up in a second sitting up on their beds with wide eyes, shocking the hell out of shivaay.  Before shivaay could further react there was a loud chant of.    
        " Aaaiiii...... Ooooooo...help... ".

         The girls had thrown ice in their backs. Now the boys were on their toes on the bed, dancing like tribals with their legs apart, trying to remove the ice cubes. Shivaay now stood a little back. These ladies were dangerous. And he certainly didn't want ice cubes in his back trickling down south.

      The girls though were having a helluva jam of laughter while recording their dance.
" Arey,  look arnav is dancing like aishwarya rai on dola re with his hand behind him " mallika said roaring with laughter.

" Leave that, look at Om he is jumping like a frog, kicking his legs,  as ice has gone too south "  gauri laughed pointing at om.

" Ri, you too?  You are my girlfriend. HELP. " om made a puppy face trying to gain sympathy.

" Oh please!!  What did you guys say?  We girls are too innocent and sweet right. So we thought why not show you guys are real cat woman side. Right girls? "

   Gauri said gaining a big scream of yess by the girl gang.

" Bhaiyaaaa,why are you looking at our faces, help us. You are in our team. Remember bro code " rudra cried jumping.

" Wait a minute,  why don't you put more ice cubes in your back? It's good for increasing your IQ. "  Shivaay said sarcasm dripping from his voice.

" bhaiya, sorry. But it isn't time for revenge. Its time to help us. Please bhaiya "

" I can't hear anything. Girls can you?"

" No nothing at all " Anika said giggling from behind the camera.

" Don't tell me you are shooting Anika!! " mohit said crossing his fingers.

" Hell yeah I am !! And in two minutes it's going to be up on facebook kiddos" Anika said with a devilish smirk.

" No!  My fan following will decrease Anika don't do this!! " mohit pleased.

" Sorry too late, it's done!! " Anika grinned throwing her hands in the air.
" I will delete it " saying mohit ran behind Anika out of the tent.

   Shivaay frowned. Why was this guy so behind Anika? . Was he interested in her?  Mujhe kya? He put his hands in his pockets and went out to have a look while looking like he was 'just wandering '.
   Om, arnav and rudra had managed to remove the ice and were now running behind mallika, gauri and shruthi with ice in their hands.
   In two minutes it was an ice fight. Everyone who had an ice cube was throwing it irrespective on whom it was falling.

       After a full fledged water fight all then sat down laughing when a series of notification bells started ringing on Anika's phone.
She opened it and started laughing scrolling down.
" Boys you got 7000 likes and 950 comments. You are officially famous now." Anika laughed giving a high five to gauri who was giggling.

" Arey, see @ itssushi says the caption is lit !! " mallika said peeping in Anika's phone.

" What's the caption? " arnav asked slightly scared to embarrass himself more.
" Desi boys having their pants on fire " the girls echoed rolling on the grass with laughter, making the boys quickly cover their wet pants awkwardly .
