20: Do It Again
I crashed down on to the floor, smashing my face against the hard tile.
"Fuck." I grumbled, feeling a throbbing in my nose and on my forehead.
The guy got off of me, lifting me up and turning me around.
"Are you alright?" He asked, frantic and concerned.
"Not really." I grumbled, rubbing my forehead.
"I'm sorry." He said sheepishly, scratching the back of his neck.
"Jesus Christ Bails." Baylor cried, rushing to my side and holding me.
"Bailey?" Ethan stated, obviously confused.
"No, it's Tom Brady." I joked, leaning on my brother for support.
Blood dripped from my nose and down my chin. I used the sleeve of my hoodie to wipe it away, but it continued to pour down.
"What the hell is going on here?" My dad's concerned voice boomed over the quiet chatter of the guys around me.
"Apparently Bailey's the Jersey Girl." Baylor explained to dad, as he pushed his way to the front of the crowd.
Dad didn't seem concerned with Baylor's statement, but more concerned with my bloody nose and forehead that was beginning to bruise.
Dean also pushed his way up to me, and I wrapped my arm around his waist for support.
"Are you okay sweetie?" My dad asked, crouching down to me and wiping away some of the blood.
I nodded. "My face just hurts." I laughed.
No one else laughed, but that didn't really bother me. They thought it hurt more than it actually did.
"Okay!" My dad said in a booming voice. "Can everyone go wait in the stands while we make sure that nobody if seriously injured!"
Everyone began to file out of the hallway, the guy I landed on being the only one that stayed with us. He looked exactly like Owen, and I remembered him as Owen's twin brother.
What was his name again?
Aiden?
Evan?
Eli?
Elijah?
Everest?
Everett?
Emmett?
That's it. Emmett.
Dad, Dean, Baylor, Emmett and I all headed to one of the change rooms so we could clean up the blood and get away from all the noise.
"Sorry for falling on you." I apologized to Emmett.
"It's fine." He laughed. "I don't think you hurt me. I think it just knocked the wind out of me. Besides it's kinda funny in retrospect."
His upbeat attitude helped put a smile on my face. I wish I was as cheerful as him.
"So tell me what exactly happened." My dad said as he wetted a paper towel and dabbed the blood from my face.
I sigh. "So I'm the Jersey Girl. And the guys have been making it almost impossible to return the jerseys, so I was climbing through the ceilings to be able to drop the jerseys and not get caught. But Emmett spotted me and that made me panic and I accidentally fell through the ceiling and landed on him. Then I got up and ran away, and some other dude tackled me. That's when I hit my face off the floor and gave me a nose bleed."
"You were climbing through the god damned ceiling Bailey?" My dad asked, astonished.
"Yep." I replied sheepishly.
He simply shook his head and chuckled.
"Why the hell were you stealing jerseys in the first place?" Baylor asked.
"Remember that first day when I had to go and drop off the letter for Dean?" I reminded.
"Yeah, what about it?"
"Well, I heard you and dad talking about how you might not be able to do the Junior Bowl next year if it didn't get enough publicity. So I decided to drum up some publicity for you by stealing jerseys." I explained.
"Wait, so you did this all for the sake of the Junior Bowl?" Baylor asked, his jaw almost on the floor.
I nodded and my dad shot be a massive smile.
"Well, I really really appreciate it Bails." He said, giving me a hug.
"Anything for you dad." I replied, hugging him back. "And by the way," I added as I pulled away from the hug. "Dean helped me too."
"You did?" My dad turned to face him.
"Only a little. I helped her give the jerseys back." Dean clarified, earning an approving smile from my dad.
"Emmett, are you sure you're okay?" I double checked, changing the topic.
"Yeah, I think so. At worse I'll probably get a bruise." He shrugged. "I just tagged along because I wanted to make sue you were fine."
I laughed, shooting him a smile.
"I don't think you have a concussion or a broken nose." My dad stated as he examined my face closer. "If either of you guys get tired, have trouble seeing, get a headache or feel sick, make sure you tell me. We'll get you to the hospital if you do end up with a concussion."
Emmett and I nodded before standing up and heading out of the change room.
Explaining this to everyone again is definitely going to be fun.

"I still think it's nuts that it took us this long to realize it was you." Keenan expressed as he stretched across the couch.
"Speak for yourselves, but I figured it out the same day we caught her." Evan scoffed in a joking manner.
"I'm just too good." I smiled, raising my brows.
"I'll give you credit for that." Vylad said.
"I mean you climbed into a fucking ceiling," Smith laughed. "Of course we'll give you the credit for being good."
"I might've gotten away with it if your brother hadn't caught me." I told Owen and he chuckled.
"If you hadn't gotten caught would you have done it again next year?" Wyatt asked, tossing a bouncy ball back and fourth with Ryan and Dylan.
"I'd definitely do it all over again."

Rain poured down on us as we stood at the sidelines. One touchdown and the game will be tied. Central Valley High was playing St. Lincoln Boys Secondary School in the finals. Dean and Parker just needed a touch down to tie the game and they'd have a shot at winning.
My fingers were crossed in the pocket of Dean's hoodie that I was wearing. But the clock ticked down too quickly and my heart pounded in my chest.
Ten...Dean stepped back to throw the ball.
Nine...Dean brought his arm back and flung the ball forwards.
Eight...The ball flew through the rain filled air in the direction of Parker.
Seven...Parker ran closer to the end zone.
Six...Parker caught the ball.
Five...Parker's pace picked up.
Four...Parker was ten yards from the end zone.
Three...Parker had a clear bath to the end zone.
Two...Parker was five yards from the end zone.
One...Parker was taken down by a hit that came out of nowhere.
The buzzer sounded just as he crashed down on the turf.
People in the stands began screaming and letting out dies of excitement and disappointment. All of us jumped the fence and we flooded the field in excitement.
Dean hadn't won, but I was still really proud of him. Him and his team came extremely close to first place, and managed to make second place.
I rushed up to my boyfriend and he wrapped his sticky and wet arms around my body.
"I'm so proud of you and your team."I yelled to him above the background noise around us.
He smiled down at me, water dripping from his face, and pouring down from the sky. He leaned down and I stood on my tiptoes so our lips could me.
