Luiz Nilson stepped out of his ship and smirked at Comet, 

"Come on, Comet, don't be like that,"

Comet groaned, 

"I thought that the rest of the pack would be back the same time we were. But I just heard from Commander Wolffe that they weren't due back for another Rotation,"

Dino laughed and nudged him, 

"Oh, you can survive a while longer before you see them again,"

Blaze smirked and nudged Luiz, 

"Think about our kid here, he hasn't seen Victory in a few Rotations,"

Luiz blushed and glared at them, 

"Hey! I talk to her plenty,"

Comet took off his black helmet and ruffled Luiz's blonde hair, 

"Come on, kid, we know you better than that. Let's just meet up with General Skywalker,"

Dino nodded, 

"I heard that we got some new Generals,"

Luiz looked at him in surprise, 

"Where did you hear that?"

Blaze smirked, 

"Jesse mentioned it,"

Luiz chuckled, 

"Alright, do you know how we got two new Generals?"

They all shrugged. Luiz chuckled, 

"Well, good thing we are here now, let's try finding someone,"

Then Rex came walking up to them, 

"Hey, kid!"

Luiz smiled at Rex, 

"Hey, Rex,"

Rex pulled him into a quick hug and ruffled his hair, 

"How was the mission?"

Luiz shrugged, 

"Pretty good, nothing really big, we got in and got out quick,"

Blaze smirked, 

"Luiz blew up the base,"

Luiz gasped, 

"Blaze!"

Blaze shrugged, 

"Hey! It's the truth,"

Rex laughed and took off his helmet, shaking his head.

"I'm not surprised. Come on, General Skywalker just told me where to meet him with Axel and Sora,"

"Who are they?"

Rex smirked, 

"The two new Jedi we ran into on the mission,"

Luiz smirked, 

"Now, by 'run into,' you mean they crashed into you like Nikki and I did?"

Rex sighed dramatically, shaking his head in amusement,

"No! They did not fly into me like you and the Mills did,"

Luiz chuckled, 

"Good to know,"

"They seem strong in the Force, from what I observed. Not sure how their meeting with General Yoda went,"

Luiz winced slightly, remembering his own nerve-wracking encounters with the Jedi Council, 

"Hopefully less awkward than mine was,"

Dino laughed as he nudged Luiz,

"Nothing could be worse than that,"

Rolling his eyes good-naturedly, Luiz followed Rex's lead as they moved forward. He glanced back at his squadmates with a smirk.

"I know you guys want to relax; go ahead, unload our ship, and restock. Take a break,"

They quickly dispersed, saluting before heading off to their tasks, leaving Luiz and Rex alone,

"How are you handling being a sergeant?"

Luiz shrugged, 

"Never thought that this would be my life,"

Rex raised his eyebrow at him,

"Would you trade it?"

Luiz glanced at him and shook his head, 

"Never. As much as I sometimes miss home, I know I'm needed here. Not just by you guys, but by my best friend. I'll follow Nikki wherever she goes,"

Rex smirked and patted his shoulder, 

"Trust me kid, I know,"

Blushing slightly, Luiz rolled his eyes playfully,

"Is this another pep talk to tell her how I feel? I already get enough of those from Anakin,"

Rex laughed and shook his head, 

"No, not quite. But you should try to live a little. Have some fun, even in the midst of war. I hear Echo's been pulling pranks on his squad, and Hardcase won't stop terrorizing every shiny we get,"

Luiz chuckled softly and nodded, 

"I wish Fives could see Echo one last time, to know he was alive,"

Rex sighed and looked down, 

"Trust me, kid, I wanted nothing more as soon as we found Echo,"

"Is Nikki getting better?"

Rex sighed and nodded, 

"Yeah, Wolffe told me that she looked better than she did. I know how hard it must have been for her to see Fives killed the same way we thought Echo was,"

Luiz flinched and nodded, 

"I wish I was there,"

Rex shook his head, 

"No, you don't. Seeing someone get a death like that? That's the hardest part of being a soldier,"

Luiz looked at him, 

"We all are,"

Rex sighed, 

"I wish you weren't,"

Luiz nudged him gently, offering a small smile,

"Too late for that now. I'm just happy Alison and Max are the safest of us all,"

Rex chuckled, 

"Fox said they are driving him insane with their over-the-top gadgets,"

Luiz chuckled, 

"I'll make sure to see them before getting deployed again,"

Rex smirked, 

"You better,"

Then they stopped as they spotted Anakin talking to a redhead in a poncho and a girl with a vest and long-sleeved blue shirt and cargo pants. The three turned to them, and Luiz felt something pull at him toward the woman, which confused him. Anakin smiled at the two, 

"Ah, there you are. Axel and Sora, this is Sargent Luiz. Lui, this is Axel and Sora, the newly found Jedi Knights,"

Luiz furrowed his brow in confusion.

"Newly found?"

Cal nodded, 

"Yes, we were on a planet until we got off. Been training ourselves in the force for as long as we can remember,"

Luiz nodded and stuck out his hand, 

"Well, nice to meet you both. As Anakin said, I'm Luiz Nilson,"

Cal hesitantly shook his hand and smiled at him, 

"Nice to meet you,"

Sora nodded her head, 

"Yeah, nice to meet you, Luiz,"

Luiz awkwardly dropped his hand when Sora didn't reciprocate the handshake, feeling a slight pang of confusion. Anakin chuckled, 

"Alright, cool. So, while Yoda and Shaak Ti apparently decide what to do with you, Axel, both of you will join the 501st as co-generals. Consider it a trial run,"

Cal chuckled and nodded, 

"I like a challenge,"

Nikki glared at him and slapped his shoulder, 

"I'm better suited than you,"

Cal rolled his eyes, 

"Whatever you say, Sora,"

Luiz watched their banter with amusement, finding their dynamic intriguing. 

"Sounds like you two are ready to prove yourselves,"

Cal shrugged, 

"We have been through a lot together,"

Nikki nodded, 

"We were born ready for whatever we face,"
