A Lost Friend

Ezra stepped forward as they saw a ship crashing,

"Hey, when is the last time you had visitors?"

Rex narrowed his eyes,

"We never do,"

Sabine crossed her arms,

"Well, did you see that ship crash?"

Kanan nodded,

"They might need help, we should go find that ship,"

Ezra felt a pull in the force and he frowned in confusion,

"I sense something,"

Kanan closed his eyes and concentrated. He felt a stir in the force, but it was small, so small it almost went unnoticed, if not for his padawan, he would have never noticed. Kanan nodded,

"I sense it too,"

Ezra looked at Kanan,

"You do?"

Kanan nodded,

"Yes, concentrate, see if you can find what it is,"

Ezra nodded. He closed his eyes and stretched out his hand. The five warriors behind the two jedi were reminded what they have lost once more. Sabine sighed,

"You should h-"

Ezra's eyes shot up as he felt a sense of familiarity wash through him as he pinpointed the force signature,

"No,"

Kanan frowned as he sensed the confusion and despair in his padawan,

"Ezra, what is it?"

Ezra narrowed his eyes at the distance,

"It can't be,"

Zeb frowned,

"What is it, kid?"

Ezra shook his head and looked at Kanan,

"The force never lies, right?"

Kanan slowly nodded,

"Right, what is it?"

Ezra looked at the distance,

"I felt a force signature...and...that person...I thought she was dead,"

Sabine took a step toward him,

"Ezra? Who is it?"

Ezra shook his head and grabbed his lightsaber,

"I'm going to check, I'll be right back,"

No one could say a word as he immediately jumped from the old Republic Walker,

"Ezra!"

Ezra briefly looked back at his master before saluting at him,

"I'll be right back!"

Kanan sighed, and Rex chuckled,

"You know, Ahsoka was the same way as a padawan,"

Kanan glanced at him,

"Just because we are here to get that information does not mean that we could EVER be friends. I don't care if Ahsoka trusts you. I will never trust a clone again after what you did to us,"

Cody sighed,

"Kanan, I unde-"

"No. You do not understand anything."

He walked away and Fives rolled his eyes,

"He sure seems like a great person to be around,"

Sabine shook his head,

"I was told stories about the Jedi growing up. None of them were pretty. But there was a tale of two force wielders,  the two of them helped assist Mandalore against an evil Jedi, they fought alongside the clones to free Mandalore from his wrath. Then, they were all slaughtered by those they fought alongside. So, sorry if Kanan doesn't believe that not all clones betrayed them. It's pretty hard to believe,"

Echo put a hand on Five's shoulder to stop him from talking,

"Sabine, just because some of our brothers turned on the Jedi does not mean we all did,"

Zeb chuckled,

"Well, how would you feel?"

Rex looked down,

"My platoon, we were betrayed by a Jedi. He turned to the dark side and was the reason a lot of good men were killed. We were saved by our vod'ika. She fought the Jedi that turned on us and defeated him. Not all clones were bad, and not all Jedi were good,"

Sabine frowned,

"Vod'ika? You had a sister?"

Wolffe crossed his arms,

"Enough. No more talk about this."

Ezra kept his eyes open as he walked closer to the fire. He scanned his environment and did not see anything. He sighed as he didn't see the thing that caused the force pull he felt earlier. He walked closer to the wreckage and frowned in confusion when he saw the glass cut and no pilot,

"Where did you go?"

"Why hello there,"

Ezra jumped and immediately lit his lightsaber in a defensive stance. He narrowed his eyes as he spotted someone in a black cloak with wrist bracers and a Mandalorian helmet that was blue and gold. Ezra pointed his lightsaber at the person,

"Who are you?"

The person chuckled and took off her helmet. Ezra was met by piercing blue eyes and short blonde and blue hair,

"That is on a need-to-know basis, and you don't need to know."

Ezra narrowed his eyes at her,

"Have we met?"

The teenager tilted her head and smiled softly at him,

"Well, I would be able to tell you if you tell me your name,"

Ezra slowly put his lightsaber down and deactivated it,

"You are a Jedi,"

She nodded,

"Yes, I am,"

"The force pulled me to you. Who are you?"

She sat down on the floor and looked at him,

"You tell me first,"

Ezra sighed and plopped down in front of her,

"Ezra,"

Her eyes widened in shock,

"Ezra Bridger?"

Ezra slowly nodded and tilted his head in confusion,

"How-"

She laughed,

"Come on, I helped your parents raise you for a few years when you were just a lil baby. Of course I remember you,"

Ezra's eyes widened in shock,

"Sora,"

Sora smirked and stood up with her arms open,

"That's right, lil Ez, now come give your godmother a hug,"

Ezra immediately ran into her open arms as he felt tears fall from his eyes,

"B-But how? When the stormtroopers came to my house...You ran away before they came...I thought you got caught escaping Lothal,"

Sora chuckled softly and ruffled his hair,

"Oh, come now, Ez, I taught you how to fight when you were a toddler. Do you really believe some big ol' troopers can take me down when not even an inquisitor can?"

Ezra's eyes widened,

"You fought the inquisitor?"

Sora chuckled and nodded,

"A bunch of times. I heard that a group of rag-tag rebels were fighting the Empire. Never thought it was my own godson,"

Ezra blushed and nodded,

"Yeah...I kinda ran into them on Lothal, stole some guns from them,"

Sora laughed,

"Of course you did,"

Then Sora felt the ground shake ever so slightly, and she immediately looked in the direction that Ezra came from, and she felt the ones that she thought were killed. She frowned,

"There are some enemies closing in. You stay behind me-"

Ezra frowned,

"What? My master is there, along with some of my friends! We have to save them!"

Sora nodded and glanced at his lightsaber,

"I will, but my first priority is going to be you. So stay behind me while I get your friends,"

Ezra sighed and nodded,

"Alright, what's the plan?"

Sora smirked and winked at him,

"Just follow my signature, and give me your lightsaber."

Ezra frowned in confusion before Sora put her helmet back on and swiftly put Ezra's helmet on him. He handed her his saber, and then she raised her hand, and a cloud of sand enveloped them in mist,

"How are you doing this?"

"Kid, you still have a long way before you know everything about the force."

Ezra shrugged and followed Sora until he heard the Republic Walker. Ezra frowned in confusion and stopped as he reached out with his senses. He didn't feel any new signature aboard the Republic Walker, just his friends and the clones.
