Forgiven
Percy looked at me. "Where did you go last night? I didn't see you in the cabin," he asked. I smiled.
"I went to Cole's place. Why?" I asked.
"I was worried, that's all," he said. He stood to leave. "I'm sorry about what I said, Jade. I really am. I didn't mean to hurt you."
"I forgive you Percy," I said.
"I should have been there for you. I should have saved you. I-" I shushed him.
"There was nothing you could do, Percy," I soothed him. He smiled and nodded. Percy exited the room, leaving me alone.
I sat up. I needed to get to the water and heal myself. So, I swung my legs over the bed and stood. Bad Idea. I sat down. Cole walked in.
"Cole, I need water," I said. He frowned.
"You can't have it to heal yourself. The paramedics said it was bad for you and will make you weak," he said. It sounded like he came up with the idea then was told the same exact thing. Man, this sucked. Stuck in a hospital bed. Unless...
"Cole, go get Sky," I said. He gave me a questioning look, but went and got her. My sister would totally break the rules and get me to the water to heal. Sky walked in.
"No," she said.
"But you didn't even hear what I was going to say!" I complained.
"I'm not jeporadizing your health so you can run around like an idiot," she screamed. I flinched. They asked for it. I put my hands out, summoning water to the infirmary. Cole realized what I was doing, but it was too late. The water surrounded me, and I healed. I made the water evaporate and smiled.
"Not weak, am I?" I asked. I stood up. The world tilted as my legs gave out.
"Jade!" Cole yelled.
