In my dream, I was standing in the woods. Darkness surrounded me. I turned in all directions. I tried walking, but I couldn't move, only turn.

     I was suddenly blinded by a light. I saw all my friends and family surrounding me.

     Someone stepped forward. She smiled deviously. "Oh how you've grown. I am your mother, Jade." I glared at her. Poseidon steppes forward, wrapping his arms around her. Then, my friends stepped forward, too.

     "You get to die now, alone and unloved because you are unlovable," Cole said. I started to scream, but it was drowned by me falling, endlessly falling forever.

     I woke up screaming. Someone was shaking me. Percy stood over me.

     "I have been trying to wake you up for ten minutes now," he said. I sighed and looked at him

     "It was just a dream," I sighed in relief. Percy pressed a hand to my forehead.

     "Jade, your burning up. Are you okay?"

     "I'm fine. I'm going for a swim." I went into the bathroom and changed into a bathing suit. I ran to the ocean and dove in. The water was cool and clear, fresh and crisp in the water. I saw someone standing on the beach. I swam back to the shore and walked out.

     It was Cole. I went up to him and hugged him. I was dry because of my water powers. He hugged me back.

     "So, I woke up last night, you were gone, and the Doctor was asking where you went. I didn't tell him where you were because when I mentioned the Doctor earlier, you flinched, so..." He said. I smiled.

     "Thank you. I don't want to talk about it because he brought up my mom," I said. He kissed the top of my head.

     "Jade, you're burning up and you just got out of the water," he said. He looked concerned.

     "I'm fine," I said. He nodded.
