I eat my food quietly while hesitantly watching Cole. After a while, Cole yells out, "Go fix yourself up! I am fine! Yo soy bueno! GOOOOO!!!!"

"Geez, I'm going," I say. He smirks.

I walk out of the infirmary, happy as ever, when someone grabs my arm. I turn to see Patricia, Cole's sister.

"Hi, Patricia. How are you?" I say politely. She smirks.

"I'm doing fine, how is my bastard brother?" She asks. I laugh, for the first time in days, I laugh.

"He's being stubborn. He won't let me stay with him."

She laughs. "I'm going to go check on him."

"Okay, bye," I say.

"Oh, and Jade," I turn, "Stay away from Rodney. He is angry and looking for vengeance. He is going to something, so just be careful."

"Thanks," I say and walk away. Rodney is a dick. I don't care about him and I am not afraid.

I walk into Poseidon's cabin, grabbing a spare set of clothing. I turn, heading out the door when it abruptly slams in my face. Well, that's just dandy. I step back, prepared to kick the door open, but I'm stopped when a certain dick grabs my arm and flings me across the room.

"What the hell do you want, Rodney?" I snap. He laughs without humor.

"I thought you would like to know something about my brother," Rodney says. I roll my eyes. Then I hear the other door open and steps inside.

"Jade, why is Rodney in here?" Cole asks.

"Cole, you're up! I don't know why Rodney's here, but he's leaving," I say.

"Hey Cole, doesn't Jade have abandonment issues?" Rodney asks.

"Rodney, leave it alone," Cole growls. I look between Rodney and Cole.

"Leave what alone?" I ask. Cole keeps his stony glare on Rodney.

"Nothing Jade. Leave it alone," he says coldly.

"Leave what alone?" I shout. Rodney chuckles darkly.

"It's ironic, isn't it Cole. The fact that after you abandoned your family, you fell in love with the girl who everyone abandons. It's kind of cruel, don't you think?" Rodney sneers. The breath gets caught in my throat.

"You what?" I ask. Cole finally looks at me, his eyes full of guilt.

"Oh that's rich. You really didn't know. And here I thought you were just stupid. Well, sweetie, guess what? I'm his brother, not his half brother, his full on brother. There was a fire but instead of saving me and his mom, he saved himself. My mother died that day and it's all his fault. You fell for the act, but that's the real him. You don't like being abandoned? Well, you fell for the wrong man, sweetie, the wrong man."

I am nearly in tears now. Rodney's words cut me like a knife. Cole hesitantly reaches for me.

"Jade," he whispers. His eyes plead for me to listen.

"Is it true?" I ask, my voice coming out as a small whisper, cracking on the last syllable.

"Jade," he says again. I feel silent tears roll down my cheeks, but I make no attempt to wipe them away.

"Is it?" I ask again.

"It's true," he says.

"Hey guys, what's uhh..." Sky says as she enters the room.

"Jade, please, don't..."

"Don't what, Cole? I trusted you with all of my heart and in five minutes, that trust was smashed into a million pieces.I love you, but I guess you don't love me enough to trust me with important stuff like this. And you know more than anyone how I feel about this kind of stuff. I told you about my mother, Cole. I didn't even tell Percy the whole story. You took all my insecurities and crushed me. I... I just can't..." His eyes turned cold and he yells at me.

"How dare you! You don't even know the whole story and you just jump to conclusions? You are so stupid and self absorbed. You think I want to have my mother's blood on my hands? Then you question my love? I fucking put myself in a fucking coma for you. I have killed myself trying to help you, and not just metaphorically. The one time I screw up, after the countless times you screwed up, you think you have the right to accuse me of being a bad person? I hate you, you pretentious little bitch! I can imagine why your mother tried to sell you!" I gasp. Now I am full on sobbing. I walk up to him to slap him, but he grabs my wrist and pins it against the wall. Pain shoots through my arm. He glares down at me. But then, the last thing I expect happens.

Percy walks up and shoves Cole off me and out the door. Rodney follows, obviously acting smart right now, and Sky follows, probably ready to torture both of them to death. Percy pulls me into a tight hug and I cry until I run out of tears.
