'It's All My Fault...'
Peter's normally brown eyes were bloodshot, and his face was streaked with tear tracks. (Y/N) had been hurt, it was all his fault, he couldn't save her...
And now she might die from her injuries.
Broken ribs, bruised lungs, black eye, fractured wrist, her ankle was absolutely shot...
Waiting was the worst part of it. Peter had never been the most patient person, but now it was unbearable.
A proper-looking nurse entered the room, glancing sombrely between Peter and (Y/N)'s family. This included Chelsea (L/N), her mother and David (L/N), her father. The nurse only looked and left, confusing them all.
Peter was surprised at (Y/N)'s family. They looked so... normal. Peter couldn't believe that these people were Hydra agents, formerly or otherwise.
Chelsea was anything you could ask of a mother: kind, gentle, caring... and it didn't hurt that she was really pretty, either. It was almost cliche, because Chelsea had long blonde hair that made her big, green eyes stand out.
David, on the other hand, was ruggedly handsome, with his chiseled chin and dark black hair. The weirdest thing about him was that he seemed so... friendly. You wouldn't have guessed this man was a former mercenary, and his blue eyes made him seem genuinely childlike, and innocent.
But Peter knew that they were evil, because he noticed things. For example, David's hand drifted to his belt at every sudden noise, as if he were reaching for something. Chelsea glared at every person in the waiting room, as if daring them to test her.
"So, you're the famous Peter Parker, huh?" David asked after an uncomfortably long moment of silence.
Peter jumped, having been startled out of his period of self-loathing. "Uh... yeah."
"(Y/N) talks about you a lot, Peter," chuckled Chelsea with a small smile.
"Does she?" Peter asked, his nervousness showing.
David's eyes narrowed slightly. "She speaks very highly of you... but I wonder... what secrets do you have behind that mask?"
"M-mask? What?"
The nurse entered, and waggled her fingers at Chelsea and David. "You're her parents, right? You can see her now."
They began to exit, and David turned back to make an 'I'll kill you' gesture at him.
Peter looked down, wallowing in self-pity yet again. "Oh god... it's all my fault, (Y/N)..."

I am SO sorry for making you guys wait! I'm a disgrace to society!
But anyway. I have another story out, which is a series of shipping one-shots. I would love it if you guys gave me suggestions for the next chapter in that book. It's called, 'Shot Once, Shot Twice', and you can find it in my published folder.
See you soon, Web-Heads!
