I walked out of the cabin and was walking around the island. I was walking when I saw a boy around my age he was in a small garden. I walked over to him he didn't see me. Hi. I said he was scared a little and jumped back I chuckled. I didn't mean to scare you. I said giggling he looked up at me. Hi. He squicked a little like a mouse. I held out my hand and pulled him to his feet. What are you doing here? I asked he looked down over at the garden behind him. I was trying to grow some plants that aren't poisonous. He said then looked at me. But it's too cold here. He said quietly. I'm Amelia. I said holding out my hand. He looked a little scared. I'm not going to bite. I said he nodded. I'm Peter. He said shaking my hand. Well, Peter if you want I could try and help you. Have you ever thought about trying to cross bread some of the plants to get a none poisonous subspecies? I asked his eyes wined. I never thought of that! Petter said then took a notebook out of his pocket and stared to wright in it. I will need to make a list of every plant on the island to find out which ones belong in a family with none deadly plants. Of course, most plants around here are in the nightshade family. He muttered to himself I looked at him. Wouldn't that mean you could try and make a potato? I asked knowing they were in the same plant family. His face lit up. Of course! It might take a bit, but I could at least try. He said then picked up his bag and walked off.

The next day I was walking when I saw the same boy. He had a basket full of weird-looking plants. What are those? I asked looking t them he looks down at the basket in his hands. Some of the less toxic members of the nightshade family I found here. He said quickly I looked at the plants. A few looked somewhat like a purple potato and one a blue tomato. Never seen those before. I said he nodded. I just found them today. I plan on trying to make them less toxic. Petter said with a smile. I have a few books about plants in my cabin. I said pointing in the direction of the cabin. Ok. Petter said we started to walk back to the cabin not saying anything. Wait here. I said opening the door and walking in. I saw Penny trying to catch a fly she was starting to lean to fly now that her wing was all fixed up. I might have changed my mind about leaving her in the woods after she got better. She was getting really big and I know that she will take up this whole room when she is fully grown with is at a year of age. Penny jumped on my almost knocking me over. Down girl. I said in a stern voice she huffed and got down. Better. I said then picked up one of the books but Penny grabbed the other end of it. No! Not playtime. Bad girl. I said pulling on the book. I was pulling so hard then when she let go I went flying back and into the door with a bang. You ok? I heard Peter ask from outside I got up and opened the door. Yeah just tripped. I said he didn't look like he believe me. Just then Penny stuck her head out the door and Peter saw her just before I pushed her head back in with my foot. What was that?! Peter asked pointing at the door. Nothing. I said he rolled his eyes. Why are you keeping that thing?! Petter asked I put my hand over his mouth. Zip it! I whispered yelled then took my hand away. And it's a who not a what. I said he took a breath. Ok, then. Who was that? Petter asked looking at the door from which there was a bang and a crash I faceplumed. Penny, her name is Penny. I said he looked shocked. Why do you have a pet pterodactyl? Petter asked I chuckled. Um, well, I found her abandoned with a brown wing so I took her in. I said then there was another crash and the door moved a little. She is learning to fly now. I said looking back at the door and then back at Peter. Why didn't you put her back? Petter asked hands on his hips. I just didn't have the heart. I said he sighed. What? She isn't dangerous, more like a big puppy dog. I said he shook his head. Once Tom finds out he is going to kill her. Petter said I was shocked. Why would he do that? I asked. Tom and I had been friends for a long time and I don't see why he would ever hurt one of the pterodactyls. Ever wonder where he got that scar from? Petter said I gasped. A rabid pterodactyl acted him when out for a walk in the woods. He said I was surprised. I never really thought much of it before. Well, Penny isn't like that. Would you like to see her? I asked he rolled his eyes but nodded. I opened the door and walked in having to duck because Penny flew over my head and almost knocked over Peter from shock. She is huge! He said shutting the door. Penny leaned and turned to face him growling a little. Calm down, girl. I said standing in front of her and holding her back. Friend not food. I said she looked at me then at Petter her face softened. She then started to run at him. Before he knew it Penny jumped on him and started to lick him. Get her off. Petter choked out before he get the wind knocked out of him. Penny come. I said and Penny stopped licking him and ran over to me. Sit. I said holding up a fish she sat down. Good girl. I said as I tossed the fish to her. She caught it in mid-air and ate it. You trained it! Petter asked shocked I nodded. Yeah, like I said she is like a big dog. I said petting her she smiled and panted.
