AQUAKIT'S P.O.V.

Aquakit sniffed the tiny specks of weed growing at the corner of the nursery. She had been at Felidae for only one moon, and a queen called Ivyblaze had taken the responsibility of being her adoptive mother. She was very kind and soft-hearted, but Dawnheart told me she would die for her kits...and everyone she trusts. One of her kits, Jaykit, told me that she's the best fighter in the Clan.

Aquakit respected her dearly. Not every queen in the nursery was satisfied with her. For instance, a cat named Cloudwhisper rambled about how untrustworthy she is. "She'll murder my kits in our sleep!" she yowled to Leafstar. "I'm sick and tired of rouges trying to take our territory!" She snorted at the memory. As if! She wasn't even old enough to train! "Hm? Aquakit, are you alright?" Ivyblaze raised her head.It was early, and Aquakit was the first one to wake.

"Did I wake you?" She sniffed apologetically. She wanted to put the best front she could to show her grateful appeals to Ivyblaze. "Oh, no." She rose, her words barely above a whisper. She repeated her question: "Are you okay?" "Yeah, yeah, I'm fine," Aquakit meowed softly, nodding. "Good. The warriors are out, why don't you go and play?" She flinched, another memory flooding back to her. When she was kind of still new to the camp, she played by herself once.

She pretended she was chasing a mouse, and she crept after 'it.' She pounced, killing 'it' with a swift bite. Turned out that she accidentally bit Cloudwhisper's tail. She shrieked in pain, and called Aquakit a delinquent, a fox-heart. A disgrace. She went back in the nursery and didn't talk to anyone in two days.

She never wanted to play alone again. "I'll wait until Jaykit and Skykit are up," she meowed. "Ah." Ivyblaze nodded in understanding. She was the one who attempted to make her talk the most. Constant prodding, words of encouragement. She threw everything at her...metaphorically, of course.  "We can wait for them outside," she suggested. We? Aquakit's tail gave a wag of excitement. She loved it when Ivyblaze plays with her!

Aquakit nodded, and zoomed out of the nursery, only to bump into Leafstar and Stormheart. "Aquakit," Leafstar meowed, "we'd like to have a word with you."
