Chapter 5: ...Next Move?

It's been thirty minutes that Isabel had told the twins that she didn't date after they hinted their interest in her.

"What's the next move Aiden?" Brayden asked his brother as they were eating their dinner. He still couldn't believe that she had nonchalantly turned them down.

Aiden was taking a sip of his drink eyeing his twin. After Isabel told them that she didn't date, he was trying to figure out a way to find out why she rejected them. He hadn't been prepared for her answer. If she did have a boyfriend, the twins were willing to do anything to end that relationship...but to say she didn't date? Then that is something else they had to figure out.

Putting his glass down Aiden finally spoke. "We need to find out why she doesn't date...maybe follow her and see if she has someone..."

"Follow her? You mean like stalking her?" Brayden asked surprised. They have never gone to that extent to know a female better.

"Not stalking...intel...we can follow her to her place and see her pattern...where she goes, who she speaks too...you know...her daily routines." Aiden shrugged like it made perfect sense.

Brayden sat back on his seat and cocked his eyebrow. "That's stalking Aiden..."

"Stalking, intel...whatever you want to call it. The point is that the more we know about her, the better it will be to get her. There has to be a reason why she told us she didn't date...maybe when we find out, we can convince her she has nothing to worry about with us."

"Hmm...maybe. Alright...should we start tonight then?" Brayden asked going along with his brother. He didn't feel too comfortable following her around, but what ever it took to get to know Isabel was worth a shot.

"Tonight after she gets off of work..." Aiden nods taking a bite of his food.

Noticing that Isabel was walking towards their table, the twins stopped talking.

"How's everything here? Do you need anything else?" she asked smiling at them both which made them smile back. "She has a beautiful smile." they both thought.

Aiden decided to respond. "As a matter of fact, there is something terribly wrong." telling her seriously.

Brayden furrowed his eyebrows at what his brother said until he realized what he was doing.

"Yes...my brother is right. There is something terribly wrong here." going along with him.

Taken back Isabel began to panic but kept her composure. "What is wrong? Is the food not to your liking?" she asked looking at the half eaten food on their plates.

"Food is fine...we are just upset that you turned us down to see you outside of here...would you like to tell us the reason?" Aiden says staring into her eyes.

Isabel pursed her lips. "Let me get this straight. You are upset because I told the both of you that I don't date?"

The twins looked at each other then her. "Yes." they said in unison.

Shaking her head from side to side she couldn't believe them. "Well, I guess you are just going to stay upset then. If you don't need anything else..." turning on her heels she left them there wide eyed and more determined to figure her out.

"Intel...tonight..." Brayden says staring at Aiden who says. "Definitely."

After eating, Aiden and Brayden left O'Mally's leaving Isabel a big tip like the night before. They didn't ask her again about why she doesn't date and just made small conversation when she checked up on them

Deciding to go home and changing, they went back and waited until Isabel was done for the night. They hadn't done "Intel" in a while and always found it tedious when their father would have them do it on occasion to find out the competition's affairs.

From across the street they can see Isabel talking to a few people before waving goodbye through the window. Heading to the door she put on her coat, scarf, hat and lastly her gloves. Walking out she looked both ways and cautiously crossed the street towards the bus stop. It was a very cold night and they couldn't understand why she would prefer taking the bus than taking them up on the offer of giving her a ride home.

They stared at her as she stood by herself rubbing her arms up and down to stay warm. They both wanted to go to her and warm her up, even take her to their house so they could take care of her. The reasons for both their thoughts were unclear since they only met her the night before, but it didn't matter to them. They wanted her, and they will find a way to have her.

The bus drove up stopping next to where Isabel was standing. A few people got out then she went in greeting the driver with a smile. The twins internally smiled knowing that when she smiled they felt something inside they haven't felt in a long time.

Taking her seat, the bus drove off as the twins followed behind in their tinted black SUV for a good thirty minutes.

Aiden and Brayden noticed the route the bus was taking...it looked familiar to them.

"Aid? Didn't we drive this way today?" he asked as he looked around the run down buildings.

"We did...." Aiden simply tells his brother who was glancing around.

"She can't live in this neighborhood...she just can't." Brayden says not believing that Isabel can live in such a bad area.

Stopping the truck on the curve, Aiden idled looking ahead. "She does Bray." nodding ahead Brayden looks forward to see Isabel getting off the bus. She waited for it to drive off then crossed the street.

She continued to walk the block then crossed another street, the twins tailed her closely but not too close so she wouldn't notice.

They kept a close eye on her especially when she passed a group of guys who were sitting outside a stoop drinking and smoking. She continued walking until the twins noticed one of them run after her.

Aware that Isabel may be in trouble, Aiden quickly opened the middle console pulling out his gun just in case. No one was going to hurt Isabel while he was around. Brayden pulling out his own felt the same way.

The unknown guy reached Isabel and stopped her by putting his hand on her shoulder causing her to stop and turn around startled.

Simultaneously, the twins placed their hand on the door handle to open the door to rescue her. The fact that she lived in one of the worst areas in Boston didn't sit well with them. Add that she walked alone at night from the bus stop almost every night to get home while danger may be lurking around the corner...completely made them livid.

Before opening the door Brayden noticed that the guy had something in his hand and was showing it to Isabel. Isabel looked down taking it then smiled at him. A few seconds later, she turned around and continued walking while the guy who had stopped her went back to his friends.

The twins sighed sitting straight in their seats keeping their guns near them just in case. Aiden put the truck in drive trailing behind her until he made a sudden stop as she crossed another street.

"What the..." Brayden began to say until Aiden finished the sentence.

"...f**k!" exclaiming.

"This can't be right Aid...please tell me we are not..." Brayden says,

"...watching the girl of our dream go into the building we are going to condemn? Yeah Bray...it seems that our Isabel lives in that piece of sh*t building and that she will be homeless in a week." Aiden says in a pissed off tone.

"Damn it. What are we going to do? We need to get her the hell out of that rat hole. I don't even want her to stay another day there..."

Aiden hummed as a response. "I know Bray me either. But we can't just knock on her door and say 'Hey Isabel, we were just in your neck of the woods and decided to stop by since we were following you tonight...oh and by the way...pack your things cause you are moving in with us..' now can we?"

Brayen sighed deeply. "No, I guess we can't..."

They watched Isabel go up the stairs walking down the corridor and stopping at a door while holding her keys. Brayden suddenly realizing that the girl he had seen earlier that afternoon, the one that he thought looked like Isabel, was indeed her.

Glancing over to his brother, Aiden looked at him with a frown realizing the same thing. "I know Bray...you were right."

Isabel opened her door and closed it behind her. The twins sat in the truck for another thirty minutes in silence. If they would have gone to check if that girl was Isabel, then maybe they would have been able to take her somewhere safer...and that's what they intent to do...no matter what it takes to convince her.

"Mark my words brother...by the end of tomorrow, Isabel will be at our place safe and sound...where she belongs." making a u-turn Aiden comes up with a plan to get Isabel out of the run down Motel she calls a home and back to his and Brayden's place. The place they will make a home for her...and with her.
