Jonah tried to focus on his Algebra quiz but he couldn't. All what was in his head was the scenes where she saw Amy close to Jeremy Price, they were never seen together and yet seemed to grow closer in few days.Were they a thing now?He looked backwards where she was seated trying not to be noticed by the teacher but it didn't worked out.

"Mr.Parker, eyes on your quiz. " Mr. Hart exclaimed seated on his desk. 

He felt several eyes on him as the teacher called his name, except Amy's. She was tapping the pencil on her hand against the desk, he had no idea if it was because she was way too concentrated on her quiz or she didn't care about him. Or maybe it was both.He passed his hand through his hair and tried to focus on answering the exercises he had on his  paper.

Amy finished her quiz and handed it and saw Dana outside the classroom waiting for her.It was a surprise for her, however if her friend was wanting to make peace she was going to accept. She didn't liked being separated from Dana. And it seemed Dana shared that same thought.

"Hey, how did you do?"Dana asked her. 

"I think I did well. What about you? "

"I have done better.Do you have a second?" 

"Sure. "

Dana signaled Amy to move a place more private.They walked close to the janitor's closet, where not too many people were passing by. 

"I want to apologize for my behavior, I have been acting very childish.I got pissed at you when Brad was so excited for entering to the closet with you, even though it was not your fault. And you were right, I can do much better than him. I'm sorry. "

"That's fine. Let's imagine nothing happened. "

"Thanks, you're the best. " Dana answered hugging Amy with one arm. 

"I'm glad we could move on. We need to go out and update.I feel we haven't speaked for ages. "

Dana came close to Amy's ear and whispered in her ear.

"I really want to know, what happened between you and Jonah that day at the party?Did you make out?" 

Amy wanted to speak that topic somewhere else, as people passing by  could listen but she knew Dana too well and her curiosity would never stop, so it was better for her to answer her in the moment. 

"No, we just talked.That's all I can tell you now. "

"I have an idea, let's go eat at the chinese  restaurant.I can tell my mom to drop us there and can pick us later. "

"Sounds great. I'll text Sean. "

At lunch Jonah was quiet, not listening to any word that Danny and Trent were saying to him. His friends noticed it and wondered what was disturbing him usually he was not like this. Trent whispered on Danny's ear, giggled and threw a fry at Jonah. 

"Dude, what was that for?" Jonah said grabbing a napkin to clean his face.

"You are in another world, what's wrong with you?" Trent asked.

"Nothing." Jonah said shrinking his shoulders.

"Any lady problems?" Danny asked chewing his pizza slice. 

"Nah, it's Jonah we're talking about here. However you have been acting weird since that party on Jenna's house. Does it has to do with Amy Wilkes?" Trent added.

"I said it's nothing, can you guys please drop it? " Jonah said slamming the table with his fist. 

"Something is bothering you,if you don't want to tell us fine but please get over it soon. The game against Weston is in two days.We need you to give your one hundred percent. " Danny said. 

"Or the coach will bench you. I want a soda, I'll come soon. " Trent added standing up. 

"I'll go with you. " Danny said standing up too. 

Jonah sighed frustrated.He was letting the issue with Amy affect the other aspects of his life, he got mad at his two best friends over nothing and felt sorry about it. He totally forgot the Weston game  was that week, and the play was next. He needed to deal with this as soon as possible. He turned to look for Amy and saw her seated with Dana. Amy looked happy, laughing ,and that made him smile. He realized he liked seeing her smile, somehow she lightened every place where she was.The school day ended and he walked through the halls looking for Amy. She was reading one of her notebooks next to her locker.

"Hey Wilkes. "

"Hi, how are you?" 

"Can we talk?" 

"Sure. "

He grabbed her hand and pulled her to go with him, somewhere quiet where no one would listen to their conversation or disturb them. He first considered taking her to the janitor's closet but she would  think he had some kind of obsession with closets and he didn't want to ruin her reputation, if it wasn't ruined already by the comments people made about her.He didn't want people to think she was the kind of girl that hooked up in closets, even though it wasn't truth at all. They stopped next to some stairs.No one seemed to be there, either students or teachers. The school seemed to be empty. 

"You're scaring me, why so much secrecy just to talk?" Amy asked confused. 

"Are you dating Jeremy Price?"He suddenly asked. 

"Why are you asking me that?"

"It's just a question, call it curiosity. Yes or no?" 

"No. "

Jonah tried to hide his excitement but Amy detected  a small smile he showed in his face as she answered the question. Was he jealous?There was no other reason why he would ask that. He probably saw her talking to Jeremy and that's how he suspected something. She wanted to know why he was really asking her that.

"Have you heard rumors about me dating Jeremy?" She asked playing along.

"You know how people talk on this school, all this walls have ears and eyes. In fact it's surprising nobody has created a Gossip Girl page. "

"You watched that show?" Amy asked surprised.

"Yeah, i know it's a chick tv show but please keep it a secret.I have a reputation to protect. " He said coming closer to her and winking an eye. 

"My lips are sealed. " She said as she moved her hand close to her mouth as if it was closing a zipper. 

"Thanks Wilkes, I appreciate that. I know you're a person I can trust. "

"So, this was your last question from the game?" Amy asked.

"Huh?"

"We didn't finish the game the other day, as you were missing one question. But i guess this was it. "

Jonah totally forgot the game, it caused him surprise to see how she remembered it. Her logic was not incorrect, anyone would assume that was his last question finishing the game. But that was not his plan, he was wanting to use his last question in a way used to get closer to her. He needed that question, so he cleared it up with her.

"No Wilkes, that was not my question from the game.Soon you'll know."

"Okay then. See you tomorrow. " She said walking away. 

Amy drove with Dana and Mrs. Murphy to "The Yellow Duck". Dana told her mom to pick them up in two hours, to which she accepted. Amy already texted Sean telling him she was there with Dana, and he expressed he was glad the two of them could fix their issue.Both girls sat down and ordered their food.

"So tell me everything, with every detail and not forgetting what happened in that closet. " Dana asked as she was drinking her tea. 

" We only talked, we played ten questions. We took turns, just that. "

"There were no kisses, or anything like that?"

"No. And to be honest, i'm glad it was him not Brad. The latter would have taken out my clothes off in ten seconds, however Jonah was a gentleman. He made me feel comfortable inside a closet. "She answered with a smile. 

"You're blushing, my friend. I can see you're totally into him. " 

"I am, i have get to know him better and it has been wonderful. I hope we can at least be friends."

"Just friends?" Dana asked raising an eyebrow. 

"I don't want to fantasize with him, or it will be painful for me to dream something and later it won't happen.You know, today he asked me if i was dating Jeremy Price."

"Why would he ask that?"

"I guess he has seen me talking to Jeremy lately. Jeremy told me he has a crush on me. "

Dana started coughing as she almost choked herself with her drink, and finally composed herself relieving Amy. 

"We don't talk for two or three days, and your life gets exciting. I'll never stop talking to you again. Tell me everything about Jeremy. "

"He approached me after the rehearsal on Monday. He said he had a crush on me,and i had no idea i was that obvious that i like Jonah ,as he said he knew i liked him. How come you never told me?"

"Forget that, what did you answer?"

"I told him I want us to be friends, Jeremy is a nice guy and i believe it would be fun to hang out with him."

"Are you sure we are talking about the same Jeremy Price? He's a geek, always carrying his laptop and phone everywhere. "

"He's seems sweet, I know you would like him if you gave him a chance. "

The waitress brought their food and they continued talking as they ate. Amy realized in that moment she missed her best friend, who was also like a sister to her.It disturbed her not to be completely honest with her. She decided it was the moment to tell her the biggest secret she had been hiding. 

"Dana, i need to tell you something.I have not told anyone about this. "

"Spill it out. "

"Well, it's more like showing in it to you.But you have to promise me first you won't freak out and won't tell anyone. "

"Am, you're freaking me out right now. You're not on drugs ,right?"

"God no, nothing like that. Sean will arrive late today, come home with me and I'll show you. "

"No problem, I'll tell my mom we'll study together. "

Amy felt nervous about telling Dana she could become invisible, wondering how her reaction would be. She was just hoping she wouldn't change the way she saw her and would stop being her friend. However, it was something she had to do. It killed her to have that secret and had no one to share it with.
