Chapter 9. Wish Come True

"Hey what's up," Ben says as we enter his car. If you forgot, Ben's picking us up today since we decided to hang out today. Dani's with us since she said she could use a drive home. 

"Hi." Dani and I say at the same time. "Hey do you guys want to grab something to eat?" he asks. "I'm down," I say and look over to Dani to see if she wants to go. "I actually need to head home actually. My uh mom is home early and she wants me to be there. I'm sorry" She says. 

That's weird, her mom never comes home early. I guess she was able to get a day off or something. "Oh, okay then," Ben says while pulling out of the parking lot. I look out the window and see a group of girls staring at us looking surprised and jealous. I smile at myself and look back at my phone. "What are you smiling at?" Dani says. "Nothing I just saw uh a funny meme on my phone that's all," I respond quickly.

"Really... What's the meme then. Show me." She grins. "I look at my phone and I'm glad to see Reddit open and I give a sigh of relief in my head. I always open Reddit when I'm on my phone because it has quality memes and top-notch humor. "See, look." I turn my phone over to her and she shrugs. "Okay then." She says. I hear Ben laughing in the front. 

"Now what are you laughing at?" I ask. "You guys are too funny," he says still laughing. We give him confused looks. "You," he says pointing at me through the rear mirror, "You are too easy to read. You were smiling at the girls who looked like they just saw someone die but they were looking at us.". How does he know everything??? "How'd you know that?" I asked surprised. "I just know."

We arrive at Dani's house and she waves bye and me and Ben decide to eat Ramen. "What is one thing you've always wanted to do?" Ben asks out of nowhere. "Hmm. I've always wanted to go to like a hill or an empty field and just vibe. You know?" I say looking over at him. "What do mean by 'vibe'?" he asks. "I'd just do whatever I want. Scream my heart out, Dance, Laugh, Cry, just vibe." I sigh. 

It was relieving to say since it's always just wandering around in my brain. "Hm, that's actually pretty nice," he says. We pull into the parking lot of the restaurant and enter. "What do you want?" I ask while looking over the menu. "Hmm, I'm thinking about the Spicy Pork Tonkotsu. What about you?" he says looking over the menu too. "What, I was gonna get that!" I say. "Do you just want to share then? Just to like save money?" he asks. "Yeah sure and I can pay this time," I say since he paid last time.

"No, I can it's only like 20 bucks," I say back. We go on about who's paying until the waiter comes with our food. We asked for separate bowls because that would be awkward with just one. We forget about our argument and get fully absorbed in our food. What can I say, food always wins.

"Oh my gosh, that was so good," I say while we walk back to his car. "I know right, I and my parents go here all the time," he says. Burp. Ben looks at me surprised. "I'm sorry, that was gross," I say worriedly. He laughs which makes me confused. "Now that, was a good burp," He says. Oh. 

We get his car and then leave. I look out the window and look at the beautiful sunset. Wait, this isn't the way to my house. Is the kidnapping me?! "Hey uhm this isn't uh the way to my house." I say. "Don't worry, I'm not kidnapping you," he says. "Then where are we going?"  I ask. But he doesn't reply.

As usual, I fall into my food coma thinking, if he really does kidnap me, I might as well accept my fate knowing that I can't do anything about it. After like 10 minutes I feel someone shake me. "Ah!" I get scared and open my eyes. "Hey chill it's just me Jellybean." I see Ben in the other seat and I sigh with relief. 

"Where are we?" I ask looking around. It's just an empty field. Wait, an empty field? Oh no he didn't. "You didn't," I say with my jaw-dropping. "Oh yes, I did." He says smiling at me. I let out a slight chuckle and get out of the car. I take a deep breathtaking in the fresh air. "You're amazing," I say still in shock of what he just did. 

"Can I play a song?" I ask since that's one of the things I wanted to do which was to dance. "Of course." He says and gives me his phone which is already connected to the Bluetooth. I play the song Sofia by Clairo since it really fits the scene. I dance or more like just move my body in drastic ways in the field and Ben soon joins too. I laugh at how bad we both dance and then once we finished dancing I went over to a patch of grass to sit on.

"The sky is so pretty," I say looking at the sunset ahead of us. "It is. Hey, let's take a picture," he says. "Oh okay," I say as he pulls out his phone. We take a picture and we take a funny one too. I laugh at the picture and tell him to send it to me. I take out my phone and save it. I go on Instagram and see that he posted one of the pictures. 

"Hey, why'd you post that!" I say. " I just thought it was cute," he says nonchalantly. "What! People are going to think we're together!" I say slightly freaking out. "Let the people think about what they want to think. It's fun anyway" he says. I shrug in reply. "Well, ready to head home?" he says looking at me. I nod in reply and we head back to the car. 

We arrive at my house and he walks me to my door. I step inside and he says hi to Ate Gemma. He leaves and I go to take a shower. I still can't believe he did that.

A/N: Here's a little wholesome chapter for you guys. I just used this as a buffer for my writer's block. I already know who to cast for Jill and Dani but I can't find any guys for the role of Ben.
