Okay, so this isn't actually a Q&A, but I didn't know what else to call it since it is about me.

Well, anyway...

Today was my very first marching competition actually marching (last year I went to competitions but I was a runner and just helped with backdrops and props) and oh my gooses! It was AWEmazing!

WE GOT
•A FIRST DIVISION RATING (the highest you can get)
•AN OVERALL SCORE OF 92.5 (out of 100, which is better than our band has EVER done at our first competition)
•FIRST PLACE IN OUR SIZE GROUP (4A)
•THE MOST ENTERTAINING SHOW AWARD
•THE MOST OUTSTANDING SOLOIST AWARD (to one of our soloists)
•THE MOST OUTSTANDING COLOR GUARD AWARD
AND
•FIRST PLACE OVERALL!!!

It was also one of my personal best runs of the show yet and I'M JUST SO HAPPY! I was literally almost in tears when we were walking off of the field because we did so good! My first marching competition was the best one our band has had in years! I'm so glad I got to be a part of it!!!

That's really I wanted to say, so can I just do a little marching band feature? Yep.

OH MY GOOSES!
My school technically isn't a Christian school, but our band program definitely is, and even the people who don't believe or aren't Christian, they still have a lot of respect for us who are.

Before every football game and competition performance, one of the students prays. Today we actually all joined hands and prayed and then hugged the people next to us right before we stepped onto the field to compete. I'm so happy to be a part of such a loving band family! We're all different in our own special and unique ways, but when we perform, all of those differences don't matter anymore and we are all united as on through music.

✖This is how the entire world should be. Every one of us is different and we all have our own opinions on things, but we need to set those things aside and learn to bond through the one thing that is unchanging for all of us: God.✖
