--My sister's best friend is suicidal... She's attempted suicide several times now. I know throughout her life she's gone through terrible things that no one should ever have to deal with, but she is a truly amazing person and I just simply cannot begin to understand why someone would want to end their life like that!
--A girl, a high school French horn player and section leader at a school close to mine, committed suicide last week leaving everyone torn in pieces. I didn't even know her, yet it still breaks my heart to know that she was in so much pain that she felt the need to end her life.
--My oldest sister had a very close friend in high school. My sister noticed that he always had "paper cuts" and seemed upset all the time. She asked him if he was alright and tried to help him out a bit... Few weeks later, he put a bullet through his head.

Guys, suicide is a very serious issue and it's all around us.

I see many posts and images that say suicidal people don't want to end their life, they just want to end the pain and be happy, but guys, there are so many other roads to happiness than ending your own life!

SUICIDE SHOULD NEVER BE AN OPTION.

I understand that I might not be going through the exact things they are, that I've never walked in their shoes, or even considered things from their point of view, but I know that there is always, ALWAYS something to keep going on for.

If someone is in pain, no matter what the reason, suicide is not an answer. It is not a solution. It is destruction! ...Destruction of the beautiful life that God gave you!

Did you catch that? TEMPORARY! Pain, physical or emotional, is never going to last forever. Every flower grows through dirt... Every single one of them, but you know what it takes? Time. Studies say that 90% of all suicides are caused by a treatable and/or temporary mental illness and that every 4 out of 5 people will suffer from a mental illness in their lifetime. Everyone is going to face depression and heartache...no one is alone when it comes to hurting.

SUICIDE DOES NOT END THE PAIN. IT SPREADS IT.

Every 40 seconds someone dies by suicide.
Guys, I'm being completely and totally serious with you right now. These days just about anything can push a person to ending their life. Do me a favor, if someone is sad and in pain, talk to them, cheer them up a bit! Help them before it's too late. Treating a person badly is only going to hurt them worse. Don't be the person that pushes them to their limit. ↓↓↓

Take every opportunity to make someone happy because you will never truly know what they're going through.
