- What are you guys thankful for today? :) 😊

Several times in the Bible we are commanded to confess our sins.
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." -1 John 1:19
My question was, however, is "to whom do we confess our sins?
Obviously we need to confess to Jesus, but what about confessing to our fellow Christians? It's not vital, I'm sure, but is it still important?"
I did a bit of research, and it turns out that my thinking was pretty accurate!
"Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working." -James 5:16
"Truly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." -Matthew 18:18
"Whoever conceals his transgressions will not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them will obtain mercy." -Proverbs 28:13
God already knows what you've done. He knows all of your sins, even the ones you've hidden from the rest of the world. Although confessing to God is still extremely important, telling others about your sins is also a thing that needs to be done and taken seriously. God says to not conceal your transgressions and since He already knows your sin, He means don't conceal it from other people, like your close friends, family, or pastor.
I know it sounds crazy, and you may feel that those people have no business knowing what you've done which is okay and normal! But God wants us to share those things with others, even if it's just with one trustworthy person. Not only will you have another person fighting your battle with you, it also helps us to realize that nobody is perfect. We all fall short of the glory of our God. From personal experiences (😉) I know just how relieving it is to get those hidden sins and burdens out and off of your shoulders. Yes, talking with God about it is amazing, but to me, conversing with another person who's just like me and who doesn't already know about it, it's a whole new, freeing, and more real experience.
Tell me what ya think! This is a discussion, after all! 😄

Another random question or two for ya.....
What do you plan on doing with your life?
I want to own a craft store. Seriously. I'm going to call it Absolutely Crafty, in dedication to my mom's scrapbooking store which was named Absolutely Scrappy. But alongside that, I want to be a wife, a mommy, and a Sunday school teacher for teens. (Alternate options have always been a special education teacher for kids with disabilities or just a secretary for a school or something, but I REALLY just want to own a craft store.)
In the way of careers, my family is definitely going for the fine arts area... My oldest sister is about to graduate from college to be a choir director, my brother is starting school to be a voice actor/animator, my other older sister wants to be a band director, and I want to own a craft store. All the fine arts!! Hoping the little ones will follow! 😅
What are some of yours biggest goals or things you hope to achieve within your lifetime?
Well, for a while my biggest one was to make my High School Chambers (the select ensemble in choir)... I guess I can check that off the list! Yay me!! Other than that, I guess basically just the same answers to the first question.
Thank you for sharing these things with me! I truly do love to learn more about people, especially my brothers and sisters in Christ!
💛 I loves you guys so much! 💛
🔆 Have a beautiful, beautiful day!! 🔆
Much love,
•BPL
