The rest of the night went by quite smoothly and it was suddenly morning again and time for school. The first few classes got over quickly and it was time for lunch now. I almost immediately start to walk towards the music room but then I remember that I'm supposed to eat lunch with Leila and her friends, so I start walking in the direction of the cafeteria.

I felt so nervous to meet Leila's friends. I just hope that Leila doesn't decide to hate me and that her friends like me as well.

I walk into the cafeteria and I immediately see Leila sitting with two people whose backs were facing me so I couldn't see who they were. Her eyes suddenly catch mine and she smiles and waves for me to come to her table, so I start walking towards her table and both the people sitting next to her turn around to see who she's waving at. I suddenly stop a few feet away and just stare at them. The two people sitting with Leila was Rachel Adams, the girl who walked in on me singing by myself and the guy from the grocery store who wanted my pancake mix! How in the world were all three of them friends?

As soon as Rachel saw me she jumped up out of her seat and hugged me while jumping up and down. "Oh my god! You're the girl who Leila met? The same girl who has such an amazing voice! This is such a coincidence! Wow!"

As Rachel was saying this, I noticed the guy staring at me and then suddenly he started laughing and not just normal laughing, I mean knee slapping and hands clapping laughing! [gif] There were seriously no words to describe my utter confusion and surprise that he was laughing!

"Hey James are you okay?" Leila asked, trying to hold in her laughter but not quite succeeding.

"Yeah I'm fine! It's just that she's the girl I told you about who stole my pancake mix," he replied to her.

"Wait you mean she's the awesome girl who left you looking like an idiot? I like her even more now!" Rachel said teasingly to him.

"Oh right! Sorry about that. I was really tired and not in a very good mood. So I kind of took it out on you just a little bit," I told him.

"It's fine. No harm done. After you left I realized that it was kind of funny so I just let it go," he replied.

"Okay well I'm glad that worked out but how do you know Rachel?" Leila asked, looking confused.

"Leila don't you remember I told you about a girl named Lana who I saw singing and playing the guitar in the music room? The one who I said had an amazing voice? This is the same Lana!" Rachel replied to her.

"No way, this is the same Lana? Wow talk about a small world!"

"Anyway so you already know Rachel's name but I'm guessing you don't know the name of the guy who you left looking like an idiot. So, Lana this is James Fielding. James this is Lana Deluca."

"Nice to meet you Lana," James says while shaking my hand.

"Nice to meet you too James," I reply.

"Okay so now that everyone's all introduced, I want to ask you something Lana." Leila says looking at me.

"Of course what is it?" I reply.

"Well, you told me that you didn't have any friends here which is weird because you're totally awesome. Anyway, so what I'm saying is that you should hang out with us. You know if you want too. Only if you want too..." Leila asks me, looking hopeful.

"Yeah that's a great idea and if you're okay with it then you should come to Leila's house tomorrow. We're all going there after school to hang out!" Rachel says while James nods in agreement.

"Um I would love to be friends with you guys and hang out but I should probably ask my mom first about tomorrow," I reply suddenly feeling excited at the fact that they wanted to be friends with me.

"Okay that's great! Let's exchange numbers so you can text me if you can come," Leila says to me whipping out her phone and giving it to me. I put my number into their phones while they put theirs in mine and exactly when we finish, the bell rings. We all say bye to each other and run off in opposite directions to our respective classes.

We hung out in the next break as well and it was really fun. We all laughed and talked about so many random things and I felt like they had already accepted me into their friend group and I was happy about that because I actually have multiple friends now, as in more than one!

As soon as I got home I asked my mom if I could go to Leila's house tomorrow, and she said yes! She was so happy and proud that I had made not one, not two but three new friends so soon. As soon as she said yes, I texted Leila the good news.

Me: guess what? I can come!

Leila: yay! We're going straight from school okay? So you can bring comfy clothes to change into if you want.

Me: okay I can't wait!

Leila: me too! It's going to be super fun!

And then our conversation went to utter randomness after that because what can I say? We were pretty random people! I think even Rachel and James are too!
