Jin's POV

My fiancée is so beautiful.

I loved seeing her with my family today. It felt so... Wholesome.

And it felt so good to see that bright smile on her beautiful face.

My mother dotes on her, though I didn't expect them to get along so quickly! I might have just dug my own grave.

Oh well, all is fair in love and war.

I need my fiancée to feel welcomed into the Kim family. And the Min clan at large. Because there's so little time and so much to do - I just thought to make the wedding preparations feel more like how weddings should feel.

Traditionally the bride picks her dress out with her own family. But seeing as that's not possible, the best I could give my fiancée is a small entourage that includes her only family left, Sol.

"Haneul is such a ray of sunshine." My father stated, rousing me from my day dream of Haneul.

"Yes, she really is, Appa." I smiled at my father. I didn't realise I'd been smiling at nothing until my father goaded me about it.

"I'm glad she has a good hold on you boys. I've seen the positive change she's brought in each of you - you're taking on more cases at the office, Jimin's making court appearances, and Yoongi is finally getting more help from your brothers. I'm a proud father-in-law."

I remained silent, just nodding along to what my father had to say.

I've never seen him like this before - he's so relaxed around me. My father looked as if he were about to say he's ready for retirement. (Something he always brushes off because he doesn't want to retire.)

"You know Jin, I think I can finally retire." I looked up at my father in surprise.

Huh?!

"But Appa, didn't you say that you'll never, ever, leave the company?" I quipped, knowing exactly how to goad my Appa.

"Nonsense Seokjin! I've been waiting for you and your brothers, including my nephews, to settle down - get married and take over the business! And now, with the wedding around the corner, I can finally retire! I don't need to worry anymore. The company is in the capable hands of my nephews and sons! There's no better time to retire! My only regret is that my daughter-in-law isn't a lawyer as well." Appa chuckled.

The man was incorrigible. He'd coaxed us all into becoming attorneys - like him. Now he's an advocate (something I am working towards, but will never tell him). Yet, the seven lawyers in the family aren't enough for him! Unless you count Jimin's jageunappa and my father. But he wishes Haneul was a lawyer!

'Pssht... My fiancée is perfectly happy in her profession. She is a business owner and baker. I dread the day we have children with Haneul. My father will definitely try to convince them to join the family business too!'

Bristled by the thought, I rose from the leather couch and strode off to find my bride.

I'd had enough of my father's company to last me the rest of the week. I'll let him stew for now. He has clients to settle matters with, before his apparent retirement.

⋆⋆⋆

I wonder how the dress fitting is going with Haneul. It seemed more of a big deal compared to my tux fitting.

For starters, there weren't any tea and cakes in our part of the boutique! And no one cooed over how handsome I look in my selected tuxedo!

(I am quite handsome, if I do say so myself.)

My mother did come in to check on me, but she didn't say much other than: "Oh, you've picked one. Good. Make sure it's loose enough around your belly." And with that she was gone.

'Psht... Omma used to actually pick things out for me, until I got engaged it seems. Appa didn't even blink when I found the design that I liked best!' I huffed annoyedly.

I don't know how Yoongi and Hosoek managed. Namjoon, Jimin and Taehyung went in yesterday. And Jungkook has a fitting later today. But then again, our work schedules don't allow for us to all have the fittings done at once.

I heard Haneul talking to her cousin Sol, from the corridor where I stood. It felt good to hear that they're back to normal. The two of them were as thick as thieves when they were younger.

I still remember seeing them at parties and other gatherings. It warmed my heart to know that my fiancée isn't alone anymore.

Finally done with the Korean version of "Saying Yes to the Dress", I got my fiancée back where she belongs, right next to me, in the car.

"Thank you Jin. I really appreciate the lengths you went to, just to make this possible for me." She reached over the park break and kissed my cheek.

"You're welcome, Jagiya. Anything for you." I glanced at her shy smile, then pressed a kiss to her soft, strawberry lips.

Life is perfect with her by my side.

Disclaimer to the youth: The traffic light was red, so no dangerous stunts were undergone during our two seconds of romance. Kiss your fiancée (in my case) responsibly.

I turned back just in time to take off as the light turned green. We were now on our way to some of the other fun activities I had planned for us.

"Baby, where are we going?" Haneul chirped, batting her eyelids at me.

"That's a surprise, love. But I really admire your resilience." I chuckled at her inability to wait for her surprise.

It was enduring.

⋆⋆⋆

Ten minutes later, we arrived at the spa I had booked for us to spend time at.

The place, as requested, was deserted. Just the way I like it.

I didn't like crowds and I didn't want regular patrons to see Haneul with me, and then see her with my cousins, because sooner or later, the six little brothers of mine would have the same brainwave and want to bring her here too.

"Welcome to Serenity Spa and Parlour! Right this way please." Angela, the middle-aged woman I had made the booking with, ushered us in.

"Gamsahamnida." We bowed and made our way to the prep rooms.

The rooms were split into male and female and were large and spacious. We'd received a large "giftbag" of sorts with everything we will need to enjoy our time here. Angela called on Hwan who guided me to the room next door, to change. In addition to the giftbag, we received a fluffy white gown, the most comfortable slippers for aching feet (especially after pacing the hallway for hours to see your fiancée) and a complimentary drink, just to unwind.

After about ten minutes, my fiancée emerged from the room wearing an adorable gown and slippers. I selected a shade of lilac for her as she likes the colour very much.

Thinking back to our childhood, I barely got time alone with her. We would talk if we saw each other at get-togethers, or whenever I picked the gremlins up from school for the holidays.

There were times when I used to phone her, but that was when she had officially started dating Namjoon and the others. By then I was already in service at the military. We were betrothed back then too, but it isn't the same when you're in the military and your bride to be is in her final years of school!

This is why I made sure I got more time with her now that she's officially my fiancée. The gremlins got to talk to her, eat with her, and even dance with her while they were at school!

I've always been much older and my time was spent either studying for exams or serving our country at the Yeoncheon military base in Gyeonggi province. It was quite a distance away from home, from Haneul.

Kim Haneul, you've driven me crazy for you since the day we met.

But at least my time in South Africa had paid off! Haneul also spoke Afrikaans. It made it interesting to know someone else who could speak the language too.

But I digress.

Haneul and I were going to have a relaxing afternoon at the spa, alone, together. Finally, I get to have her on a date somewhere other than the forest.

⋆⋆⋆

"Ahhh... Seokjinna, this is so good." Haneul sighed as the lady massaged her shoulders.

I sat beside her, holding her hand and talking to her, mostly for the sake of emotional support.

"I'm glad you're enjoying it, Ne Sarang. I know you need to unwind a bit before the wedding and a facial is out of the question." I added.

"Yep. I'm glad you know that I need to look good." She smiled, then grabbed me by my shirt and kissed my lips briefly while the masseuse reached over for more scented oil.

It was a whisper of a kiss that made me lick my lips and discreetly wink at her. Her kiss was a promise that we were definitely going to continue with our special secret later on.

I've never been consciously aware of the kinks I have, but on that night, seeing my fiancée playing with herself, had awoken something in me.

'Oppa' is an over used word for most men, but whenever she called me that, it turned me on. I suppose that's how we eventually got to this point.

Since our date night, Haneul and I have met once more, reliving our wildest fantasies together. With her I could be in charge, while with me, she could be vulnerable and not have to worry about anything or anyone.

I liked taking care of her. I gave me a purpose.

"Of course, my princess has to look her best on our wedding day!"

The masseuse finished with Haneul's head and neck and moved her over to the massage table, where I joined her, on the table adjacent to hers.

Hwan massaged my back and shoulders, easing out the tension that had build up during my time in hospital and catching up with my clients when I returned.

It felt good to do this, sometimes all we need is quality time together. There is nothing more intimate than quality time with your partner.

Haneul's POV

Jin is amazing. He booked an appointment for the two of us at the best spa in Gangnam, Seoul! It felt good to have all the tension in my muscles loosen out.

After the massage segment was over, we walked out onto the terrace, where we were served a delicious lunch. Jin had selected Japanese cuisine, something I haven't had in a while.

Salmon, rice and deliciously prepared vegetables were served with a delicate wine.

"I reserved a bottle of non-alcoholic wine as well, just in case you didn't want to have this one." Jin whispered to me, running his thumb over my palm comfortingly.

"That's alright, I want to try this out with you, Yeobo." I gave him a shy smile.

"Oh, it's like that now?" He nuzzled my nose, then pressed a soft kiss to my cheek.

"Itadakimasu!" I laughed, avoiding his slick, seductive moves.

"Aww yes, itadakimasu." My fiance responded, picking up his chopsticks.

The food was delicious and the view, from up here, was beautiful. We could see the river flowing peacefully below. That coupled with the massage and Jin's company, had a calming effect on me.

I wish it could be like this forever. Alas, we have a case against my uncle and cousin and our wedding to look forward to. Oh, and our honeymoon (or seven of these in my case).

All the same, this time I spent with Jin, was amazing. I really didn't want it to end.

⋆⋆⋆

We arrived back at Kim manor around half past three in the afternoon, with a few hours to spare before Namjoon and Taehyung returned.

So naturally, Jin decided to tease me.

We were in the kitchen, making dinner together. Today he wanted to have something South African, so we were making a typical Durban-style bunny chow and melktert.

Being a baker, I already knew how to make this, so I got a head start with the short crust pastry traditionally used for tos tart.

"Do you have any dried beans or something I could use to weigh the pastry down as it bakes?" I looked over my shoulder as I patted the dough into the glass tray Jin had given me to use.

"Hmmm... Let me see..." But instead, he crept up behind me, wrapped his arms around my waist and ran his tongue up the side of my neck!

"Seokjin! I'm trying to make a dessert here!" I shivered.

"But you're so sweet, I couldn't help it." He smirked and smacked my ass.

Huh?

I glared at him over my shoulder, only to see him laughing to himself.

"Please pass me something I can use for this Jin." I gestured at the tray, the dough now evenly patted inside.

Giving in, he handed me a bag of dried beans. I snipped open the bag and took out a handful, spreading it over the greaseproof paper that was placed over the dough.

"Why do you need to do that?" Jin asked, looking more seriously at the tray now. He stood across the table, watching me with interest.

"This type of pastry puffs up a bit while it bakes. The dried beans holds it down to some extent. Unfortunately you won't be able to cook these, so I only used a handful." I shrugged in thought.

"Here, let me put it into the over for you." He offered, reaching out to take the tray out of my hands.

"Thanks." His fingers brushed over mine. Even though we've already been intimate, something about this felt more intimate in some way.

Jin is so caring, he understands me.

Feeling my cheeks heat up, I busied myself with making the thick confectioners custard that accompanies the tart.

"Hmmm... How many loaves of bread do you think we'll need to feed the Gremlins- I mean Namjoon and Taehyung?" He stuttered, pausing to correct himself.

Jin's gaze met mine. He looked a rosier shade than usual, conscious of the fact that he slipped up around me.

"Is that what you call them in your head?" I gave him a knowing smile.

"Yeah, though I usually don't say it out loud." He shrugged, smiling at me. "I feel comfortable around you, so it just sort of came out. They really are like Gremlins though. All of them! Growing up as the eldest was not easy. They would often form little groups and hide my things or scribble in my notebooks for school, then innocently pretend that they didn't do it. Tae was the worst! Especially when Jungkook was around." Jin huffed out a laugh.

His eyes were smiling fondly at the memory, despite him recalling how much the others troubled him.

"You're an amazing older brother." I say, walking over to my fiance. "And I think you'll make an amazing father too."

I pecked his lips, and turned to check on the custard at the stove. But Jin caught my arm and pulled me into a tight embrace.

"I love you Haneul."
