Haneul's POV

I peaked out from under the covers.

But I never had, in my wildest dreams, expected the sight that had met my eyes!

Hoseok was pointing a gun at Jimin!

"Hngh... My cousin's face does not look good on you." Hoseok snarled.

"Oh, yeah? I think it's perfect on me. Especially since he's always been in my way, taking what's mine." The fake Jimin smirked, in a voice that was clearly not Jimin's.

My body froze in terror. That voice was so familiar to me. But I couldn't put a face to the voice.

Whizz!

Ping!

A stray bullet flew over the table I was sheltered by, hitting into a metal cabinet behind us.

My thoughts were sliced through by the sounds of fighting in the background. It seemed that fake-Jimin had brought with some company.

But who was shooting back at them?

It can't have been the restaurant's security. Because they were keeping the staff safe in the kitchen.

"I don't see why you are bothered with a mask when we already know who you are E-"

Another whizzing sound cut Hoseok off. Fake-Jimin stumbled forward to throw a punch at my fiance, and narrowly missed a bullet to the head. Hobi stopped the imposter's fist a centimetre away from his own face.

"Look Hoseok, I tell you what; if you just hand over the little slut then I'll leave you and your fucking cousins alone." The cocky imposter smirked once more, too distracted by his own stupid joke.

Did that unintelligible piece of shit just swear my seven fiances?

Wait a minute... Did the creep just call me a slut?

Who the hell is he to judge me? I mean I'm not the one hiding behind one of my handsome fiances' faces! And I haven't exactly done anything with them yet!

Though, admittedly so, Yoongi and Hoseok are tempting me into things I'm not sure I'll be able to utter.

Hoseok, however, answered the imposter for me, his own fist connecting with fake Jimin's abdomen. The imposter doubled over, coughing.

Ouch... It was painful seeing the face of my fiance in pain.

But he wasn't actually my fiance and he just insulted me without actually knowing me.

Or does this imposter know me?

Is my marriage some kind of joke to them?

I'm going to have to have sex with seven men. It's no easy feat! I'm terrified of what lies ahead.

I don't even know what to expect!

I suppose, Yoongi would be gentle. Perhaps I'll be okay.

That still doesn't calm my nerves about my first time with each of them. And will I have to have a child with each one of them?

That's seven children!
I'm not sure if I could even have three.

Sigh... Halmoni, why?

Stirring from my thoughts I noticed that Hoseok, on the other hand, had not yet noticed me peaking out from behind the table cloth. His back faced me and I realized that he was protecting me from the view of the imposter.

My fiance grabbed the imposter by his hair with one hand, the fist of his other hand connecting with the imposter's abdomen once more.

"How about we unmask the fake Jimin?" Hosoek murmured to someone behind the imposter. His voice was steady and calm.

It was almost scary how calm Hosoek was in this situation.
I could not see my fiance's face, but his voice was scarily calm for someone facing an imposter.

"Why not? I am right behind you, hyung." It was the voice of the real Jimin. He crouched down next to Hoseok, a revolver in his right hand.
Both fiances of mine were glowering at the imposter.

"Right then, let's see who this is." Hoseok dryly suggested as he reached out, gripping the seal of the life-like mask and ripping it off the imposter's face.

"OUCH!" The imposter screamed out in pain. "You guys are fucking hardcore for that bitch? Really? Is it that good?" He laughed bitterly.

I wasn't as offended as much as I was annoyed that he dared speak to my fiances in that tone. But I couldn't crawl out from under the table to give this piece of shit a piece of my mind in case it jeopardized my fiances' advantage in the situation.

I still wasn't able to see much except the backs of the two fiances that protectively guarded the table I was currently hiding under.

Just then, Jimin, using the butt of his revolver, socked the man in the jawline, silencing him. Hoseok, watched silently, taking the scene in.

He turned to face Jimin and whispered something to him. Jimin rose and dragged the imposter with him. It was over in a matter of moments.

Hoseok's POV

How dare he speak of Haneul like that? After all she's been through?!
After what his father had put her through?

How dare he?

And the cheek. The cheek to come here dressed in Jimin's face! The very face he hated?

Blood surged to my ears, my fury fighting the confines I have placed around it. Haneul was watching. I know. She's got every right to be curious. But I can't have her see that side of us. The military side.

The side that could kill to protect her. The side that could drag this bastard's face across the tarmac for speaking so vilely of my fianceé.

No.

I think it best to contain my fury. He's a weakling in any case.

I'm not surprised to see him crumple with a couple of blows. He was never one for hand to hand combat. He wasn't cut out for the military.

Weak coward ran off, changed his name. He's still running.

"Take this gaesaegi away. I'm taking Haneul home with me." I whispered to Jimin. "Speak to you later. Thanks, for backing me up."
"No problem hyung. Namjoon hyung is here too. Though, he's been shot."

"Is he okay?" I asked, feeling my heart stop at the news of my cousin being shot.

"Yes, just a graze on his arm." Jimin assured me. I patted him on the arm and he rose, dragging that piece of shit away by his collar.

As soon as they were out of earshot, I turned to face my fianceé, whom I knew was watching.

"It's safe for you to come out now Haneul." I called her out, turning to face her. It was almost like coaxing a cat out from its hiding place.

Within seconds, she emerged from under the table, falling into my arms and buried her face in my shirt.

"Shhhh... Angel, everything is okay. Come on now, we're going home. See, everyone is okay, no one was hurt. We're going home." I said to her in hushed tones, helping her up to her feet and walking her to the parking lot.

'Everyone is unharmed except Namjoon.' I think to myself as I held my fianceé's dainty waist and guided her out.

But I could never tell her that now.

In the car...

I tried to keep Haneul distracted, hugging her close and pointing at the scenery so she wouldn't see Yoongi hyung, Namjoon, Jimin and Jungkook 'cleaning up' the area.

Namjoon seemed alright, though he wasn't carrying anything heavy and his left arm was tied in a sling. His white shirt was stained with blood down the collar and left shoulder, while the front of his shirt was splattered with blood that was most definitely not his own.

Everyone in my family, it seems, has spilt some blood over the last week. Both Taehyung and Yoongi hyung narrowly escaped open fire with minor scrapes and grazes to their knees the day before we all met Haneul.

Jin hyung met an accident two days ago, Jungkook's arm was cut in a hand to hand combat in the rough parts of Seoul while out investigating last weekend, I was injured on my previous attempt at a date with Haneul; and now Namjoon's been shot.

Jimin was probably the only exception to this.

I really don't want to be the one that tells Haneul about Namjoon's arm. Nor do I want to let her know what's happening in the background - she doesn't know that we've always been around her. Watching her and protecting her.

Even though we knew it would hurt like hell to see her walk past us and not recognize us.

Jamais vu... The term used when someone who is familiar with you does not recognize you at all. That is exactly what my cousins and I have experienced up until we met with Haneul again a few days ago.

Of course she doesn't recall everything. I can't even tell her the truth, lest it affect her.

We cannot lose her again. As odd as our relationship is, we exist solely to be with her. Our lives have been torture without her. It's not something I can easily explain.

It is felt.

"Why are you so quiet Hoseok?" Haneul turned to face me after a few minutes of driving in silence.

She was sitting with her elbow propped on the ledge of the car's window, her head held in the palm of her hand, pouting as she watched the trees and buildings fall behind as we sped homeward. Her hair blew in the breeze, the smell of her apple scented shampoo filling up my lungs.

She smelled so good and looked breathtakingly beautiful. I wanted to kiss her again and again. While I still had my date with her.

"Oh- uh... I'm sorry, I didn't realise that I was thinking about everything that's just happened and not actually talking." I explained, trying to be as open as I possibly could be with my fiance.

Haneul smiled, something I didn't know I'd missed until she actually did smile at me again.

"It's okay. I know how thoughts can consume one's mind. Just don't go quiet on me. If you want to talk about it, I'm here." Haneul gestured, placing a hand over my own.

A warm feeling rushed through me at the contact. Her smile was more prominent now, and her eyes seemed to hold wisdom uncommon for her age.

Our Haneul really has grown up.

Finally, we reached our home once more.

Exhaustion took over my body as soon as I walked Haneul out to our front door. I smiled at her, my forehead resting against hers as we took a moment to connect.

We certainly have been through a lot in the last forty eight hours.

Haneul's POV

I arrived home with Hoseok well after midnight.

Hoseok unlocked the door after holding me close for a few minutes, the two of us recuperating after whatever had just unfolded at the restaurant. He then immediately pulled me inside, shutting the door behind him then pinned me up against the door with his hands on either side of my head, his body slowly pressing against mine.

Hoseok had a mischievous look in his eyes that made me feel like I was melting into the floor, he moved forwards, holding me by my waist and looking at me intensely.

I felt him pressing against me, clearly stating his intentions.

"Tonight was exhilarating, Angel." He breathed in my ear, his lips grazing the sensitive skin on my neck - sending shivers down my spine.

"It certainly was." I whispered back to him... finding it harder to breathe. "I'm so lucky to have you." I say, instinctively running my hands up his back. Hoseok shivered, but placed a kiss on my lips. His tongue teased my bottom lip, hands massaging my hips.

"And I'm lucky to have you." He replied, his lips hovering over mine in thought, then he raised an eyebrow at me.

"I know you were watching me back there. You shouldn't have done that." He scolded me, a mock frown creasing his face which quickly faded into broad grin.

"Yeah... I can't help it. I had to see you in action!" I exclaimed.

"You're so cheeky, but it's so hot." He breathed.

And before I knew it, he pressed his lips against mine, claiming my mouth with purpose. His lips brushed mine firmly, his body pressing against my own as his hands roved up my sides to cup my jaw in his palms.

Hoseok wasted no time in deepening the kiss, tilting my jaw to double the pleasure it was to kiss him. I reciprocated, taking charge as I flicked my tongue playfully over his, then switching it up and sucking on his lower lip, causing him to moan into my mouth.

"I love you so much my angel." He murmured between kisses, then, he lifted my legs up on either side of him, so that I was now straddling him as he carried me to his room.

"I, er..." I started, unsure of how to communicate that I didn't want to have sex before we were married.

"Don't worry, I just want you to sleep next to me tonight." He assured me with a sweet kiss on my forehead.

Hoseok and I continued our back and forth banter, kissing on his bed. His hands gripping my hips as he nuzzled my nose, peppered my jawline with kisses and then trailed my neck with more kisses until we eventually gave into the exhaustion the night's events had brought and fell asleep in his bed, my head on his chest and his arms wrapped around me protectively.

It was both peaceful and reassuring to be with him. I felt at ease.
