My heart jumped into my throat, and I was frozen to the spot by terror.

What am I going to do?

Hobi was injured and it was my fault. I would never forgive myself if anything happened to him here. Finding the calm in my storm of emotions, I took in a deep breath and rushed forward to help him.

I recounted my training as a first aid officer as I thought out what to do next. Slowly, I crouched down and gently began assessing my fiance.

I looked for the source of the bleeding and took off his jacket to gently press against his side, attempting to add a compression to stop the bleeding.

Thankfully there wasn't anything lodged in. And the cut didn't appear to be too deep.

Thank you God.

My fingers became sticky with blood as I attempted to help him. I didn't have any gloves and neither were there any plastic bags for me to use as makeshift gloves. It was a chance I had to take.

"Oh Hoseok. This is all my fault. I'm so sorry Yeobo." I gently apologised to him as I tried to help him sit up against a nearby tree.

"Haneul, I'm fine. Don't stress Jagiya." He whispered to me faintly, assuring me that he's okay, despite the small pool of blood adjacent to his hip.
"Hobi, I'm a first aid officer... you're not fooling me. This needs to be taken care of Yeobo." I explained to him in a calm tone.

"Call the hospital then. Try the Gangnam Hospital. My - " But he yelled out in pain before I got to hear who I should call.

But just as I began to panic internally, I remembered I did have someone I could call. Someone I knew we could trust.

Wiping my hands on my jeans, not caring about the blood stains, I shakily fished my phone out of my pocket, my fingers trembling a little. I'd just managed to slip it back into my jeans pocket earlier when I noticed the small pool of blood around Hobi and raced towards him to help.

I hurriedly searched my recent contacts and dialed the person in question.

Checking Hoseok's vitals again as the phone rang, I noted that, thankfully, there wasn't a need to perform any further first aid procedures, to my relief. He was stable, and the bleeding had slowed to a stop.

However, Hobi had lost enough blood for him to be affected by a number of side effects and as a result, he still had to be taken to a hospital.

I checked my screen to see if the person I had dialled had answered.
He did, and I breathed a sigh of when I heard his deep gravelly voice on the other end of the call.

"Hi Haneul. Aren't you supposed to be with Hoseok now?" He greeted, his reassuring voice had somehow calmed me down even further.

"Yoongi, no time. Emergency. Hobi's lost a lot of blood. Please come to the famous Seoul theme park?"

"Ssi-bal. I'm on my way. Hang in there." That was all he said before I heard his car's engine rev up and he hung up the call.

Strangely enough, I didn't have to wait too long. In under two minutes, Yoongi was there with a doctor.

'I'll have to ask him about this later...' I wondered to myself. For now I was just relieved that Yoongi was so efficient.
We managed to call an ambulance with the help of the doctor's reference.

While we waited for the ambulance, the doctor had performed the very same medical examination I had performed a few moments ago. He looked at me after a moment and had asked a series of questions.
I indicated the ride behind us and explained where we were stuck and how we ended up on the tarmac.
Both the doctor and Yoongi listened intently.

But the look in Yoongi's eyes let on far more than he admitted to. It looked like he was making a mental note of whatever I'd just shared.

I explained how Hobi had slipped and fallen a few metres from the ground and how I had examined him to see if he had sustained any serious injuries. I also explained the small pool of blood beside Hobi and the doctor took note of me pressing Hobi's jacket to his side.

Just then, a loud siren was heard, announcing the arrival of the ambulance followed by the actual vehicle. Two paramedics jumped out of the front of the vehicle, dressed in what looked like red scrubs, and rushed over to the doctor.

Yoongi, who had noticed my hands were coated in a thick crust of Hobi's blood, and had pulled me aside as the doctor helped the paramedics shift Hoseok onto a stretcher and into the ambulance.

"Thank you for saving our Hobi, Haneul. You need to clean up and get some rest as well. There's a lot I need to ask you, but we'll talk later." Yoongi exclaimed as he guided me to his car.
As we passed the ambulance to get to Yoongi's car, I glanced over at my other fiance lying on the stretcher in the ambulance, the doors hanging wide open. The doctor had cleaned Hobi's wound out, his t-shirt was removed.

It was a long cut across the length of his left side. That explained the amount of blood he had lost.

But thankfully, he didn't have any broken bones.

He was a military sergeant, and knew how to fall.

The doctor had stabilized Hobi, dressing his wound up while inside the ambulance. My fiance slowly opened his eyes again. He hadn't passed out, but he was in a lot pain and wasn't able to speak.

Looking much brighter than he had five minutes ago, Yoongi assured me that everything was going to be just fine. Having reached his vehicle, Yoongi helped me into his car, which was the first time I've been inside it - seeing as our date was at home.

An hour later, at the hospital

I sat with Yoongi in the private waiting room outside Hoseok's room. Now finally cleaned up and dressed in a fresh black dress - which Yoongi had arranged for me, along with a nice hot bath; my head rested on his shoulder as he comforted me, an arm wrapped protectively around me.

"It's going to be fine Haneul." He reassured me, stroking my hair as the two of us waited for an update on Hoseok.

I couldn't help but tear up, feeling responsible for his state.

"Don't beat yourself up about this, baby. It isn't your fault."
Yoongi brought my chin up, making me face him and said more seriously: "I've actually been meaning to discuss something with you and the others."

I wiped away my tears and asked:
"Is it about the fact that someone is following us? Or that there is someone out there who isn't happy with me marrying all of you?"

Yoongi was surprised that I already knew this much. My guess was that he was hoping to protect me from this information and probably wanted to handle it without me ever finding out.

That's just how he was. Silent and yet so reliable.

"I know Yoongi. I have always known. That's how my parents died. It wasn't an "accident" as the media claimed it was. Suddenly. Unsuspected. And that's why I wasn't always allowed to travel with them. For my own safety." I supplied, happy that I had remembered this much.

Sometimes bits of my memory surfaced as if they had never left.

"Well it makes it easier for us to protect ourselves and the others now. That's the second thing I wanted to tell you." He said to me and I smiled knowingly at him, then kissed his cheek in gratitude.

"I figured that's why Jin changed his plans with me and you wanted to spend time with me at home instead." I shrugged, feeling the exhaustion settling in now that the adrenaline died down.

I now understood why my Halmoni had selected these seven men for me. They were better than detectives, police and bodyguards all put together.

And each one of them loves me as much as I love each one of them.

"Yoongi-ssi (Mr. Yoongi), I have some good news. Your cousin has made excellent recovery. You may see him now."

"Thank you doctor. My fiancée and I will go in together."
The doctor bowed and led the two of us into Hoseok's room.

We both entered the room, relieved to see Hoseok wide awake and back to his usual, cheerful self. He seemed a much healthier shade of pink again and had recovered his usual mischievous behaviour.

I felt relief flood my body and smiled right back at him as I took a seat next to his bed.

"Hoseok I am so sorry." I whispered to him as I gently hugged him gently, careful not to pull on the drips or hurt him.

"I'm fine Haneul. It's not your fault. If anything, I'll be filing a case against the employees of the park." He jested.

"Are you sure?" I asked him a little skeptically, worry creeping back in ever so slightly.

"The last time you said that... well now we're here..." I gestured around the room, as if it wasn't already obvious.

He chuckled a little and took hold of my hand before softly replying:
"Okay, I'm sorry Haneul. I shouldn't have planned such a big day out for us. I promise I'll make it up to you and this time, I'll keep it simple."

"But first we need to find out who was behind all of this. I'm waiting for Jimin to return with the forensics reports. Jungkook is handling the matter at the park. He's furious." Yoongi interjected seriously.
If Jungkook was furious, then this entire event was way bigger than just the group of people I knew were currently trying to sabotage our wedding. It meant that we had more people who wanted to interfere in our plans.

"Is there any way out of this?" I asked in a hushed whisper.

"I have a plan Haneul. But I need everyone to trust me, just wait and see." Yoongi kissed my forehead and left me to talk to Hoseok alone.

I shifted awkwardly in the chair beside his bed then held on to his hand in deep thought.

"I'm still alive Haneul." Hobi said to me dryly, as if reading my thoughts. He looked pained, but I knew it was more than just the stitches on his side.

"I know and I'm glad you are. I was worried about you." I squeezed his right hand to emphasize this.

He glanced at my left hand and noticed the rings that Jin and Yoongi have given me. I had worn them unconsciously today, almost like one would wear prayer amulets. But when I motioned to remove them, he caught my hand and shook his head.

"Don't remove the rings Jin hyung and Yoongi hyung have given you Haneul. I'm glad you're wearing them. That's why you're safe. They're like amulets in a way." He said, spookily mirroring my thoughts.

He may be fine with their rings on my finger, but I noticed that it was bothering him that he hadn't been able to give me a special first date with him like his two older cousins have.

"Haneul, I'm really sorry that our first date together was ruined. I had some special things planned and all my planning is now all for nothing. I feel so bad right now. I know Jin hyung and Yoongi hyung both gave you their promise rings and I fell off the track even before we could have our first kiss..."

I couldn't help but actually laugh at how ridiculous he was being.

"Hoseok, you didn't ruin anything, okay! For me, your good health and your safety are far more important to me than any ring could be! And as for that kiss... it can be arranged." I gave him a mischievous, saucy grin along with wink.

Not wanting to waste our evening together, I rose from the chair at his bedside, bent over his bed and gently pressed my lips to his.
"All isn't lost. But you can always spend more time with me when you're healed up." I winked at him.

His cheeks turned red and he cleared his throat, trying to control his thoughts, as he swiftly changed the subject. It was adorable to see him blush like that.

"I hear that you're a pretty decent first aider?" He gave me a mischievous side glance that made me laugh even though I didn't want to make him laugh any more. I was afraid his stitches might open up.

"Really, what makes you say that?" I asked cautiously.

"I may have fainted for a little while, but I was conscious the whole time the doctor and nurses examined me here at the hospital, Haneul. So, I overheard the nurses talking. They're impressed."

"It was nothing really. I just made you more comfortable and tried to stop the bleeding. After you consented to me calling a hospital, I called Yoongi for help." I explained and then trailed off.

Hoseok's starlight smile broadened.

"Well, my beautiful fiancee, that's just the magic of Yoongi hyung."

Yoongi's POV

As I walked back over to Hoseok's private room I overheard a portion of what Hoseok was saying to Haneul just outside the door and decided not to walk in. I was touched by Hoseok's kind words about me to Haneul, I didn't realise that Hobi had looked up to me so much; and he was impressed that our fiancée knew how to handle difficult situations...
I silently prayed that the day never came where we would need Haneul to be as strong and fierce as she was today.

Alas, despite all of the recent events and extra snippets of sleep I had tried to fit into my schedule, I felt drained. As soon as I left Haneul with Hoseok, I received a phone call from my secret informant. However, it wasn't very good news.

The small team I had on the job had found a culprit as well as the spy in our camp.

Exhausted from this five year long rat race, I decided to let Jungkook handle it. He was perfectly capable.

Then, realising I was still poised outside the room door, I gave my cousin and our fianceé some privacy and left to find my other cousins to plan the way forward.

"Jimin, roundup the others. Hobi is in hospital and Jungkook is out on a case. We rendezvous at my house in ten minutes." I instructed my second in charge.

"Rodger that hyung." Was all Jimin said in a crisp accent before cutting the call.

Heaven knew that we all needed to fortify our bond with Haneul as we could only depend on each other now...
