10 - ❝Seven-dipity❞

Taehyung turned a light shade of pink at his father's words. It amazed me at how he could be both mature and boyish at the same time. Looking at him, the pink tinge to his cheeks becoming more pronounced, a memory flashed past my mind.

~~~♡♡♡~~~
Flashback:
I remember a boy grinning at me, waving something at me and running off, laughing as I failed to chase after him.
This boy had a beautiful face and straight black hair. His boxy grin teased me as I got up and dusted myself off.
It was Taehyung.
He had taken a cream soda lollipop from my bag in the library and cackled as he ran off with it, turning to wave it at me teasingly.
I ran after him and jumped on his back trying to grab hold of what belonged to me.
Haneul: "Give me back my lollipop Tae!"
Taehyung: "Never, it's mine now!"
Haneul: "But it's my favourite!"
Taehyung: "It's mine now."
He grinned and shook me off. I couldn't help but feel frustrated with him for stealing the lollipop but something about him having something of mine in his possession made me feel special...
End of flashback
~~~♡♡♡~~~

I shook my head to clear my thoughts. The memory is still fresh in my mind, replaying parts of it in a jumbled order.

Taehyung had always troubled me. In fact he had always taken my things and hid them, laughing until I found it again. Sometimes, he'd steal my sweets or extra lunch and run off with it, only to return and share it with me at our favourite lunch spot.

I had eventually grown fond of his playful habit and would leave sweets, chocolates or lollipops in the outer pockets of my school bag for him to find.

"Haneul, are you okay?" Jimin put an arm around me, his concern for me creasing his handsome features.
"Ne, gwaenchanah (Yes, I'm fine)." I smiled up at him.

My Appa walked up to the pair of us, his face lit up in a smile. He clearly was over the moon that everything was going according to halmoni's plan.

Jimin pulled his hand back faster than I reacted which made my Appa chuckle, ruffling Jimin's hair. Jimin clearly felt he needed to keep any intimate contact with me private and I appreciated that.

"So, are you ready to meet your other future fiances?" Appa asked me in a low voice.

Jimin, who happened to overhear this, turned his head to face me, curiosity etched in his eyes as he watched my reaction.

"Ne Appa (Yes, dad)." I replied obediently, nodding enthusiastically.

My Appa noticed that I was about to ask him something and raised his hands to calm me down and said: "You probably have many questions now. I'll be here to answer all of them when you're ready. For now though, you need to meet the rest of your fiances, officially." He said softly to me and walked off to collect his file and then left the room along with Mr. Kim.

Once the two older men had left the venue, leaving me completely "alone" with my future husbands, I realized that it was now or never. I needed to officially meet them and begin our preparations for the wedding.

I addressed them collectively and asked for them all to sit around the table.

"Hi guys." I said, smiling nervously as I waved at them trying to give each of them an equal amount of attention.
"I know that I knew you all in school, but you'll have to forgive me, a lot of you finished a few years before me and I don't really remember all your names..."

I looked down blushing, but forged on.

'They didn't have to know about my accident. And they didn't need to know just yet about my medical condition.'

"I remember Taehyung, Jimin and Jungkook quite well, since we were very close at school and finished around the same time. I'd like to get to know each of you from scratch; and since I don't really know Seokjin oppa, Hoseok oppa, Yoongi oppa and Namjoon oppa as well as Jungkook, Taehyung and Jimin; I really would like to start by getting know you from eldest to youngest..." I explained, hoping they wouldn't mind my decision.

I looked down nervously again, feeling like a complete idiot.

'This was not a job interview or queue to a theme park!' I chided myself for being childish when these men expect you to be mature.

Jimin, who was sitting next to me, held my hand under the table to comfort me, without looking away from his hyungs.

"Alright, so everyone, we need to figure out a system that works for all of us in order to make this work. Who's available tomorrow?" Jimin asked, trying to assist me.

"I agree. I want to spend some time with Haneul. Jungkook says that both of you have already spent time with Haneul yesterday. That's not fair!" Taehyung complained mildly. I could tell he was only acting offended.

Taehyung directed that last part to me with puppy eyes and a pouty face.

"Gentlemen, I know we're all marrying one woman, but we don't need to fight over Haneul. Besides... if any of you boys were paying attention to our future wife, she made it clear that she wants to get to know me first."
Seokjin said, winking at me once more which caused my stomach to vacate the building.

"I want to spend time with each of you properly. Can I at least get a day with each of you?" I asked once more.

I clarified with them, looking from Seokjin to Taehyung to make my point.

"That'll get us to next week and we can then begin the preparations for the wedding ceremony." I added shyly.

"Don't you mean ceremonies Haneul? It's plural..." The handsome man that looked like he would charm the chairs had said to me, his amusement was contagious.

He smirked then winked at me when our eyes had met. He was sitting across from me at the round table we were all currently seated around. I felt myself blush, knowing that I had fourteen pairs of eyes on me.

"Hoseok hyung, take it easy on Haneul." Jungkook chuckled and then walked over from his seat towards me.

He stood next to me waiting for me to react.
"Haneul, my dear fianceé..." He said as he extended an arm. "Come with me."

So I rose from my seat to follow Jungkook as he guides me over to meet the others. As Jungkook took my hand, some of the guys had pulled their chairs closer, so that everyone sat clustered around the same half of the table.
Jimin sat with the eldest and the man with the gorgeous dimples.

"Haneul meet Hoseok hyung." Jungkook sweetly introduced us.

"Hello gorgeous!" Hoseok says in a deep voice as he pecked my hand with his soft lips.

'What would it be like to kiss him?' I wondered to myself.

'I'm sure I'll find out soon enough.' I reasoned with my intrusive thoughts.

"I look forward to spending time with you." Hoseok winked again and I couldn't help but laugh. He was very charming.
"Enchantée Hoseok. I look forward to getting to know you better." I smiled back at him.

"This is Namjoon hyung, and they are Yoongi hyung and Seokjin hyung, who are the eldest from us all." Jungkook introduced me to the handsome one with the dimples, the adorable yet sexy cat-like man and the eldest of my fiances who had winked at me earlier.

Namjoon wore a black suit with a white shirt looking dapper, while Yoongi wore a three piece suit in black and white. He smiled at me with more of a sexy smirk than a smile that made my heart flutter.

I nodded in greeting, to each of them, feeling my face grow hotter by the second.

Seokjin was dressed in a beige tartan, three piece tailored suit, as I had noticed earlier, but upon further inspection, I noticed that he also wore a male leather bracelet. Only when I glanced at it, my head began to ache once more, a memory forcing itself forward.

Unable to control the pain nor take my medication, I quickly blinked the memory away.

"Pleased to meet all of you!" I smiled at them and then bowed to each of them.
"Haneul, there's no need to bow to us. We're your future husbands. Therefore, we are equals." Namjoon stopped me from bowing to them.

Namjoon took my hands in his and kissed them. He then pulled me in for a bear hug and was the tallest of all my fiances, so naturally, I ended up hugging his abdomen rather than him.

Jungkook had noticed this and pointed it out to the others who all found it adorably cute; much to my chagrin.

"Haneul, do you have our cellphone numbers?"
Namjoon asked still holding me close.

"Hyung Haneul only met Jimin and I yesterday, so, she's only swapped numbers with Jimin and I." Jungkook explained shyly. His cheeks turned a light shade of pink as his eyes met mine.

It was at this point I had noticed that Jimin had discreetly disappeared out of sight as Jungkook mentioned this small fact...

"Alright, Haneul, why don't you give us your number and we'll text you?" Namjoon diplomatically suggested, letting go of me as he took his cellphone out of his back pocket, coolly handling the situation.

Jimin still wasn't anywhere close to the group, he was blending in with the black curtains near the other end of the room. However, I noticed him glancing at me curiously. I smiled at him and shifted my focus back to Namjoon.

What was most interesting for me, was Namjoon's leadership skills. He clearly knew his brothers and cousins well... and not to mention, when he took charge like this... it was so attractive!

Coupled with his strawberry blond hair, dimples, leadership qualities, his chivalrous behaviour and smart fashion sense, I must admit that I am already head over heels for Namjoon.

After a few moments of deep thought about how handsome these guys are, I felt a gentle tap on my shoulder; it was the sexy one Jungkook had addressed as Hoseok.

He moved close to my ear and whispered:
"Haneul, baby, you're drooling..." He smirked at me, then took out a handkerchief and gently wiped the corner of my lips, grinning at my embarrassed face all the while.

Why is he so freaking sexy?

I decided to move on with the formalities and extended my hand to the sleepy-looking, yet gorgeous catlike man with perfect black hair.

I remembered that Jungkook had introduced him as Yoongi just moments before Namjoon had hugged me.
Yoongi took my hand in his, at first appearing shy, but then pulled me close and whispered in my ear:

"You're too cute. Did you know that? I like you already."
I felt a deep blush form on my cheeks as I looked up at him wide-eyed. Yoongi, amused by my reaction, winked at me.

"I'm Min Yoongi by the way." He confirmed.

Then, while he had me in his arms, he pulled out his phone, took a selca (selfie) of the two of us. He grinned happily as he looked at the captured image.

"Hmmm.. what's your number Haneul?" He asked me, sexily biting his lip in thought as he typed my name into his phone and handed me his phone to punch in my digits.

It was only then that Yoongi realised he was still holding me so close in front of everyone. He quickly let go of me, smiling sheepishly while doing so. But something about him had told me that he's the type of man who was deep, he struck me as the kind of husband I could sit with and say nothing, but feel like I've had an entire conversation with.

I typed my number into his phone, feeling my face going redder (if possible) by the second as I saved it and handed back his cellphone, smiling at him (you guessed it) looking like a tomato.

"Err... Haneul-ah..." He stammered shyly.
"... Would it be alright if I came over to your house and cooked with you instead of us going out?" He asked me quietly. I wanted to kiss him right here... It was a weird feeling.

Yoongi turned a shade of pink and looked away.

I look at him with a mixture of both surprise and relief and say:
"I'd love that." Relieved, Yoongi lifted me up and squeezed me in excitement, only putting me down when Seokjin cleared his throat attractively, signalling that Yoongi was holding up the line for the rest of them to have a turn taking to me.

I still had to officially speak to Seokjin and he was the eldest! It was awkward enough already having gotten to him last from everyone else in the group.

So I decided that it was polite to bow again to him, but, to my surprise he caught me by my shoulders, and pulled me in for a hug. Seokjin then placed a bold kiss on my cheek, intensifying my blush by a thousand percent.

I was now completely certain that my face was much brighter red than the juiciest tomato in any supermarket in Seoul!

"It's good to finally meet you Haneul." He says smiling warmly at me, amused at how shy I felt.
"Baegopayo? (Are you hungry?)" He asked me with real concern for me in his eyes.

Well he certainly has his priorities straight! I grinned to myself.

"Yes oppa!" I exclaimed looking at him sheepishly.

He is simply amazing. I think I'm in love...

"When can we eat?" I asked him to their amusement.
"Do you like bulgogi gimbap?" Seokjin asked me, chuckling at my enthusiasm for food. He could see right through me...

Damn... It must be an older sibling thing...

My eyes widened and he grinned at me knowingly in response.

"Good. I know a really good place. Come Haneul, let's go. It's my treat." He added before I could insist otherwise.

~~~♡♡♡~~~
A/n: Okay so I guess gimbap isn't the best option for a "first date", but I wanted something everyone could share. Also, the character Haneul loves all kinds of gimbap. And if you haven't noticed yet... she loves food!
(If you aren't sure what gimbap is, it's basically "a Korean dish made from cooked rice and ingredients such as vegetables, fish, tofu or meats that are rolled in gim (김),which are dried sheets of seaweed; and served in bite-sized slices."
- Wikipedia)
So J-Hope officially joined the military today to complete his mandatory service. I'm a little sad... but it's good to see all of them together in one photo!
Look at Jinnie in his uniform! (18 April 2023)
