After having their lunch, Manik and Nandini were in their room. Nandini was sleeping on the bed while Manik was seated beside her with his laptop on his lap. He was working from home. It was really tough for him to handle everything from home because of the one week holiday he took. But still Sheena had given him all the updates and was handling the company well in his absence. Also nothing was more important to him than his princess.

He looked down at her. She had wrapped her one hand around his waist and snuggled to him. He caressed her hairs gently before focusing on his laptop again. After an hour he felt her moving. He knew she will wake up now.

"Manik" she mumbled slowly in sleep.

He chuckled slowly.

"I'm right here baby. Wake up sleepyhead!" He ruffled her hairs.

She slowly opened her eyes and he helped her in sitting properly. He made her drink water.

"Ab kaisa feel ho raha hai mere baby ko?" Manik asked sweetly.

"Baby ish feeling good now." She said in a babyish tone.

"Baby is not hungry?" Manik asked as if asking to a small kid.

"No" She said wrapping her arms around him and hiding her face in his neck.

"Okay so what does my baby wants to do?" Manik asked again.

"Baby will see you working today." She replied unwrapping her arms around him and wrapping it around his arm and kept her head on his shoulder.

"Okay! As my baby says." He said and kissed her head before getting back to his work.

He kept working and she kept looking sometimes at him and sometimes at the screen. After few minutes Nandini's phone rang. She took it and Manik raised his eyebrows at her.

"Lara." She said.

"Give me." He said and she passed him the phone.

He picked it up. Lara was asking why Nandini didn't came to office today. He told her that she isn't well, so she will not come office for few days. Lara told him she needs Nandini's signatures on some important papers. He told that she could come to Malhotra Mansion in evening. She agreed and then hanged up the call.

"Lara will be coming here in evening. She wants your signatures on some papers. You will be fine right?" He asked caressing her cheek.

"Agar aap sath ho toh mujhe kaise kuch ho sakta hai?" She said caressing his two day old stubble.

Bass yahi par Manik Malhotra pighal gaya!

Her words left him speechless. After gathering some words, he finally spoke.

"You're right! Jab tak me tumhare sath hu, I promise me apni jaan ko kuch nahi hone dunga." He said and kissed her palm which was on his cheek.

This made her smile to the fullest. She hugged him tightly keeping her head on his heart. His arms involuntarily wrapped around her petite figure.

She kissed his heart.

"I love you sooooooooooo much!" She said dramatically stretching the 'so'.

He chuckled at this child in his arms. He kept his hand on her head from back and kissed her hair.

"And I also love you sooooooooooo much!" He too said dramatically like her making her giggle.

This was his peace. His love, his life in his arms with a smiling face confessing her love for him for the thousandth time. He could ask for nothing more from God. Before meeting her, he always thought that love was not made for him or he was not made for love. But as she entered his life, she proved him wrong. She unknowingly made him change his perspective on love and on himself. She unknowingly made him realize that he can also love someone. And by loving him, she made him realize that someone can also love him. And he was more than happy to realize his this mistake.

It was evening and Manik was carrying Nandini downstairs to the living room.

"Manik me khud chal sakti hu. I'm okay now." Nandini said for the n'th time but Manik was Manik.

"I know princess aap chal sakte ho but I wanna carry you everywhere. End of the argument." He said with a tight lipped smile.

Nandini just huffed at the stubborn head. Finally they reached their living room and manik made her sit on the couch. Within a minute he got a call from Max( Malhotra Mansion's security head).

"Yes Max?"

"Sir there's a girl who wants to come inside. She's is claiming herself to be Nandini Mam's PA." Max said.

"Ask her name." Manik said. Although he knew Lara was coming but still he couldn't take risk with security.

"Sir she is saying her name is Lara." Max said after a minute.

"Send her in." Manik said and cut the call.

"Lara is here." Manik informed Nandini.

After exactly a minute, a butler came inside followed by Lara. The butler then left. All three of them smiled. Lara came to them.

"Hello sir." Lara said to Manik.

"Hey Lara!" Manik smiled and side hugged her.

She then moved to Nandini. Both the girls hugged each other tightly.

"Lara I missed you so much!" Nandini said with a big smile.

"I missed you too boss. How are you feeling now?" Lara said dramatically.

"Supaaaaaaa gooooddd!" Nandini too said dramatically.

Manik chuckled seeing his crazy girlfriend.

"Lara you'll have something?" Manik asked.

"No sir. I'm okay. Thankyou!" Lara said and smiled.

Manik smiled and then got engrossed in his laptop while the girls too got busy in their work. Lara was updating Nandini with all the happenings in AURA. She took her signatures on the papers. Lara then asked her help in some work only if she was comfortable and fine. Nandini wanted to work but she looked at Manik first. He had strictly prohibited her from working. She looked at him. His full concentration was on his laptop. But when he felt her gaze on him, he looked up at her.

He raised his eyebrows while she just stared at him. He looked at the iPad in Lara's hands and understood that Nandini wanted to work. He again looked at her and shook his head in no. She made a puppy face but he didn't budge. She again pouted, still he had that poker face on. Then she glared him which he happily returned back. She made a crying face to which he finally sighed. He mouthed a 'fine'. She grinned at him making him smile.

While this all was seen by Lara who was trying very hard to control the smile forming on her lips seeing her boss and her boyfriend doing their eye-to-eye kind of talking which also looked like romancing.

"Yeah Lara. Let's start." Nandini said bringing her out of her trance.

Both of them were working when manik closed his laptop and went to the kitchen. Nandini did noticed him leaving but said nothing. After sometime he came back with a plate of fruits in his hand.

He sat beside Nandini.

"Keep working. I'll feed you." He said and started feeding her while she too ate silently continuing her work.

These two surely made Lara realize how much single she is right now!
