I'll make up for all those years,
I was supposed to be kissing you.

It's been almost 3 months of Manik and Nandini's friendship. Many times Nandini tried to open up to Manik about her parents but couldn't. Manik also never forced her. He just said that whenever she's ready to share he will be there to hear her. In this time, Manik and Nandini have come very close to each other. Everybody now know about their bond. But only Cabir knows that Manik likes Nandini. Many times Manik would do something special for Nandini and Nandini would do the same. Now Manik used to eat at Nandini's place for at least twice a week. He has became a total fan of Nandini's cooking. Many times they both would end up into some awkward intimate positions. Nandini used to blush a few times when Manik would compliment her or her food. In short they both have become each other's need.

Manik was in the conference room attending a meeting. He was cracking the biggest deal of his life.

"Mr.Malhotra we are willing to give you this deal. I hope we will not regret this decision." The man with whom Manik had the meeting said.

"Mr. Shah, I assure you that you'll be happy while working with us." Manik said in his ever so bossy tone.

"Okay then, I'll take your leave now." Mr. Shah said and Manik nodded.

They shook hands and Mr. Shah left the conference room. Manik also went to his cabin.

He quickly opened their friends group.

Manik: Guys!! We all are meeting at Fab5 house tonight. Let's get drunk and party hard.

Mukti: What's the occasion?

Alya: Exactly!

Cabir: Manik baba kya hua bade khush lag rahe ho?

Manik: Bire I cracked a fabulous deal.

Nandini: Manik is it the same deal which was your dream project? If I'm not wrong it's with Mr. Raman Shah right?

Manik: You're absolutely correct Nandini. It's the same deal. I finally
got it.

Nandini: Woww Manik! I'm so happy for you. Congratulations!

Mukti: Congrats Manik!

Cabir: You rocked it my boy!

Alya: Congrats dude!

Dhruv: I'm happy for you buddy!

Navya: Congratulations bro! Matarani tumhe bohot tarakki de.

Manik: Thankyou guys. So we are meeting tonight at 7. And we are staying there tonight. Nandini you too.

Nandini: Aye Aye Captain!

Manik: You're impossible!

At 7pm everyone reached Fab5 house except Manik. Everyone were waiting for him in the living room.

"Yaar yeh Manik kaha reh gaya?" Mukti asked.

"Usne khud ne bola tha sharp 7pm par aajana, ab khud gayab hai." Cabir said mimicking Manik.

"Guys aajayega vo. Kahi fass gaya hoga." Nandini said.

"Nandu I'm noticing nowadays you are taking Manik's side too much. What's cooking?" Mukti asked Nandini.

"Yeah Nanz, did we missed something?" It was Alya's turn.

Before Nandini could say something in her defense Manik came.

"Hey guys! I'm sorry vo traffic me fass gaya tha." He said.

Everyone again congratulated him and hugged him one by one.

Manik's P.O.V

I reached Fab5 house and everyone again congratulated me. All were hugging me one by one. Only Nandini was left. She too came forward to hug me. She hugged me. NANDINI HUGGED ME!!!! Did I tell you all that this is the first time we've hugged each other. I know it was just a small friendly hug but then too yaar. In this 3 months of friendship this is the first time she has hugged me.

I then looked at her outfit. She looked beautiful. She always looks beautiful.

We all settled in the living room.

"Guys let's get drunk tonight." Mukti said.

"Yesss!" Alya said.

"Woohooo!!!" Navya squealed.

"Mukku meri jann... I love you." Cabir said.

"Guys wait!" Nandini said.

"Nandini don't tell me you don't drink. Itni sati savitri to lagti nahi tum." I said. I couldn't believe that she doesn't drink.

"Shut up Manik Malhotra. Off course I drink. I was saying that only drinking will be boring. Let's play never have I ever while drinking." She said. I made an embarrassed face.

"I'll get the drinks." She said and got up and left to the house bar.

As soon as she went all started laughing madly. Yeh log achanak se hasne kyu lag gaye?

"Guys what's wrong? Why are you all laughing like this?" I asked being confused.

"Puri duniya jiss Manik Malhotra se darti hai vo meri sweetheart ke samne chuha ban jata hai." Cabir said between his laughs.

"I second you Cabir." Mukti said laughing.

"I also agree." Dhruv said.

"Buddy tu bhi inke sath mil gaya?" I asked in disbelief.

"Haa to sach sach hota hai." Dhruv said and everyone started laughing. I made a grumpy face.

Then Nandini came with drinks. She sat beside me. She saw my face and asked me slowly, "kya hua?"

I just nodded in no. She kept her hand on my shoulder, "Tell me na." She again said.

"Nothing baba. They all were just pulling my leg. Let's play." I said wrapping my arm around her shoulder. I was hesitant at first but when she looked okay with it, I felt relieved that she is comfortable with my touch.

"Okay I'll be the first one." Mukti said.

We all looked at her.

"Never have I ever been on a blind date." She said and drank a sip from her drink.

I too had to drink because unfortunately I had been on a blind date. Nobody else drank. Nandini was gaping at me.

"Manik you went on a blind date?" She asked me like a baby.

My babyy! Awwww!

"Ahh! Yes! But I didn't went by myself,  I was forced to." I said looking at the animals sitting in front me controlling their laughter. I glared them.

"Who forced you?" She asked again.

"These animals sitting in front of us." I said gritting my teeth. I seriously hate each one of them for that day.

"They all forced you? But why?" She again asked.

My little curious cat.

Till the time all were rolling on the floor. Holding their stomachs while laughing.

"We all were playing truth and dare and I was given this dare that I have to go on a blind date." I said glaring all of them.

"Manik won't you tell her who was your date?" Mukti said between her laughs.

Kyu bhagwan? Kyu? Aise dost mujhe hi kyu mile?

"Manik batao na. Kon thi aapki date?" My angel asked.

Please mat pucho baby. That was the most embarrassing moment of my life.

"Thi nahi tha." Cabir said laughing.

"Huh?" Nandini said and looked at me for explanation.

"Mydatewasaboy." I said as fast as I could.

"Manik achhe se bolo na. Kuch samajh nahi aaya." She said.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.

"My date was a boy." I said.

I thought she would be laughing but there was no response. I opened my eyes and saw her face. It was blank.

"Are you gay?" She asked very very very seriously.

And all my animals again started laughing like maniacs. Matlab no limits.

Mujhe koi patthar dedo. Sir phodna hai mujhe mera. Yaa chullu bhar pani dedo usme doob kar mar jata hu. Matlab seriously mai aur gay! The Manik Malhotra aur gay! Vo bhi dekho to kon bolra hai. Koi aur bolta to itna dukh nahi hota but my angel was asking me if I was GAY?

"Nandini are you mad? I'm not gay yaar. I'm straight. Ye to inn namune ne intentionally kisi ladke ko bheja tha. Vo gay tha mai nahi." I clarified her.

She looked relaxed. I heard her murmuring something like 'thank God' under her breath.

Esa kyu bola isne?
