Chapter 6: The (Not so) Mysterious Girl_Part 2
Art by me!
———————————
"NO! SHE'S NOT STAYING IN MY ROOM!" Flowey continued to protest, but the two wouldn't listen.
"And just let me know if you need anything, alright?" the neighbor stated.
"I will, thanks!" Monika said.
Flowey was about to demand his request again, but it was too late. The neighbor closed the door, leaving him and Monika alone.
The flower grunted in frustration. He was stuck with the new addition to the house and he clearly wasn't happy about that. He felt perfectly fine alone in his room without anyone to bother him. But now, it seems he doesn't have much of a choice.
Monika turned from the door's direction to take a look at her side, but her eyes quickly averted to Flowey's. All the glow in the dark stars on the dark blue walls caught her attention, along with the bed of golden flowers Flowey was in (literally that's his bed).
"Oh Flowey, you're into stars?" Monika curiously asked.
"..yeah..something like that..." He really didn't feel like answering, but he forced himself to anyways.
"That's really cool! I've never thought you'd be into that stuff."
"Heh yeah. You'd be surprised." Flowey said sarcastically.
Monika turned to her side of the room again.
"What do you think I should put on my side Flowey?"
"Why are you asking me?"
"I just want to know what you would think"
"Well I don't know" the flower said sternly.
Monika figured he wouldn't help out right now, so instead she thought for a moment, until little random ideas started appearing in her head. She mumbled to herself about where things could be and how she could do it. Flowey wasn't paying much attention, he just wanted her to leave.
Monika sighed.
"I'm still not sure on what I should do"
"Why even care?"
Monika whipped around to face the flower.
"What was that?" She asked.
"I said why even care? It's not even going to be a big deal anyways. A room is just a room and all you really need to use is a bed to sleep on, so why bother to make it look nice?"
"Well, you certainly made your home on your side" Monika pointed out.
Flowey just grunted, turning away from the girl.
"You really are a grumpy one huh?"
No response.
Monika frowned. She couldn't really get anywhere with him right now. She looked at her side once more. She thought that maybe she should give Flowey some space for a bit and go interact with the other people for now, it could also give her some time to think about her room design too.
Monika walked to the door, as she gripped the handle, she looked back at the sulking flower.
"I'm going to go meet the others, you can join me when your ready."
Still no response.
The girl sighed quietly as she made her way out of the room. She practically bumped into a certain little devil on her way out.
"Bendy? What are you doing here?"
"I was just coming to check on ya, to see how everything was going with ya new room" Bendy said, looking down and rubbing the back of his head, almost as if it was a silly thing to do.
"Everything's been going well! But I don't think Flowey still appreciates the idea of me being there." Monika nervously laughs.
Bendy sighed.
"Yeah, he's usually a grumpy one. Sorry ya had to get stuck with him."
"Oh no he's alright! He just needs..a little work that's all."
"I guess he does, I'm surprised you can withstand him for even 5 minutes. Freddy couldn't even do that."
"I'll just get used to it, it's really no big deal."
There was a few seconds of silence.
"Uh Bendy.." Monika spoke up.
"Yeah?"
"I uh..have a request and it's kinda silly."
"Ask away!"
"So uh..I know I could do it myself but..could you maybe give me a name tour of everyone here? I know I should be a little more sociable, but I'm not really always good with these types of things."
This time, Monika was the one who felt a little silly for asking such a thing, but the little demon saw nothing wrong with it. He smiled up at her.
"Sure thing! I wouldn't mind helping out a friend of my mind! I'll be ya personal guide!"
Bendy was about to led her into the living room, before turning back around once Monika spoke up.
"Friend?"
The demon smiled brightly once again.
"Of course! Ya my friend too!" He responded before turning back and headed towards the living room.
For a moment, Monika felt her checks warm up. She stood there, confused and flustered. She couldn't really understand why she was acting like this. It was her second time feeling this way when it's with Bendy, but despite not understanding it, she didn't want the feeling to stop.
She smiled to herself as she followed him into the living room.
^^^^^^^^
Monika found Bendy sitting on the couch. She sat next to him, noticing that he had a sketchbook and pencil by his side. Monika tilted her head, giving a confused look.
"What's that for Bendy?"
The demon smirked.
"I'm gonna draw everyone out for ya, but I'm also going to say little things about them, just so that ya'll know a bit about them. If this tactic is ok with 'tcha.."
Monika smiled back.
"That sounds like a great idea."
Bendy opened up his sketchbook, flipping through the pages of drawings, sketches and discarded ideas. Monika took a peak at some of his works while he was searching. She really enjoyed looking at his style and art. Old cartoony style, just like him.
Bendy finally found a new page to work with. He flipped the back of the book so only the page he wanted as visible.
"Alright!" Bendy spoke with some excitement in his voice.
Monika watched as he quickly drew her head in the middle, with him, Flowey and the neighbor surrounding her on one side. She actually found it quite satisfying to watch him draw.
"So ya know me, Flowey and the neighbor of course.."
Bendy processed to quickly draw Freddy next to the neighbor.
"This is Freddy Fazbear. He's an bear animatronic that used to entrain kids on stage and from what he told me, he ran his own restaurants in the past."
"That sounds like a lot. Running your own restaurants and entraining kids can take a lot of effort and work"
"Yeah but he's a hard worker, so he's always got it! Plus he can make pizza! It's so good ya gotta try sometime!" Bendy's starry eyes looked up at Monika's.
Monika couldn't say no to that face. She smirked slightly.
"Ok I will. You have risen my expectations."
The demon smiled once again, then proceeded to draw the next people..or cups.
"Alright. These two are Cuphead and Mugman-"
"Wait! Aren't those the other cartoons in the house?"
"Yeah they are. First time I meet them, they almost shot me in the face!"
"Oh.." Monika didn't expect that answer.
"It turned out good in the end. Don't worry!" Bendy said with a reassuring smile.
"If you say so. Aren't they brothers, Bendy?"
The demon nodded.
"Yes! The cup brothers actually; Cuphead and Mugman! And if I remember correctly, those two actually had a bad experience with devils in the past. That's probably why they almost shot me a couple times."
"What happened?"
"They messed with the wrong devil; the devil himself actually and went gambling at his casino. They lost a bet and almost had their souls taken."
"Wow. That sounded serious."
"And now I guess, they're kinda paranoid when it comes to me since..I'm a demon too."
"You know, just because you're a demon, that doesn't mean you would do something as bad as that. At least, I don't think.." Monika gave a nervous smile.
"No, I haven't."
"Well I mean I would make pranks and do a bit of mischief here and there, but that's about it." The demon continued.
"That's good! I was worried it be something worse."
Bendy nodded as he drew the next person.
"This is Ayano Aishi. She's not really one for showing her emotions, not that she really has any, but she tends to help out when she can."
"Really? She seemed pretty stern the first time I saw her."
"Yeah well, I guess you can say she's trying to find her emotions over some boy she likes."
"Oh. Is that so?"
"It is. And I've heard she's uh..actually hurt some girls who got in her way."
"Oh.." Her words trailed off.
"The people you live with seem very interesting Bendy." Monika smiled brightly at the little demon.
He thought about it for a moment before replying.
"Heh yeah you're right, they really are."
They both kept this up for a few more minutes. Bendy kept drawing everyone else while discussing a little about each. Monika seemed to be enjoying every moment of it, saying a bit of her thoughts about them along the way. Once Bendy was done with the drawing, it had almost filled his whole page.
"Whew! Welp, that's everyone!"
"Thanks again for the introductions Bendy."
"Anytime!"
Monika looked down at the drawing the little demon made.
"Hey. Do you mind if I keep the drawing in my room?" She asked hesitantly.
Bendy turned to her and smiled, agreeing that it was ok for her to have it. He carefully ripped the page out and handed it to Monika. She admired the artwork, smiling to herself in the process.
"When did you start drawing?" Monika asked, looking up from the picture.
"Oh um, the first few years I was made, I would usually like to watch my creators draw and one day, I asked if I could try and they gave me paper and a pen. And from that day forward, I would draw almost all the time."
"Well you certainly can draw. I can't even draw a stick figure right." Monika said turning her attention back to the drawing.
"Ya said ya write poems right?"
Monika nodded.
"Ya know what would be cool?"
Monika looked at Bendy with a questionable look.
"If we made a book or something!"
Monika's eyes widened a bit at that idea. It would be really cool if they made a book. Monika would make the poems and Bendy would do the illustrations. The idea was so cool, it was almost genius. Both of them however, didn't realize they were staring right into each other's eyes. Not to mention they were only a few feet apart. It's like at that moment, they didn't want to look away and the world around them too, seemed to disappear..
"HEY!"
Spooky came between the two unexpectedly, causing them to come back to reality and fall back on the couch.
"Are you done with your plan yet Bendy?" Spooky said, crossing her arms and looking pretty annoyed.
Monika immediately felt confused. She sat up from her surprising tumble.
"Plan? What plan?
"Bendy wanted some time with you first, so we waited until he was done and then after we could talk to you too."
Monika turned to her head to see a boy with blue pigtails. He was resting his arms on top of the couch, along with a big fluffy monster with horns by his side.
"We just wanted to know if you guys were done." Sal continued. The follower nodded his head.
Monika turned her head to Bendy, who started sitting up.
"Is this true Bendy?" She asked.
The little demon was a bit hesitant at first and became a bit flustered, but went on either way.
"Y..yeah." He said not looking her.
Once again, the girl's eyes widen. A bit shocked and surprised that he wanted to spent a bit more time...with her..
The girl gave a small smile.
"Thank you again Bendy. I had fun."
Bendy looked up, surprised too but also relieved she didn't find it weird. He gave a small smile back.
"We're still here ya know." The ghost girl stated.
The two noticed that almost everyone was gathered here, waiting for them. They both looked at each other once more and laughed.
The group talked and discussed for a few minutes before they overheard the neighbor talking on the house phone.
"..yes I do................why?............this again............why not others?.......*sigh* alright..........two it is then...........alright.......I will....bye.."
The neighbor hanged up, putting the phone back in its holder and walking towards the chatty group.
He clapped his hands together.
"Excuse me everyone" he said, getting everyone's attention.
They all turned to face the neighbor.
"I'm going need two people to volunteer.."
"For what?" Freddy asked.
"Apparently, a friend of mine is a teacher and wants at least two people to stay with him for a few hours, just to keep him company, but more importantly uh......solve math problems.."
Oof cliffhanger!! Sorry I've been gone for a little bit. School started a month ago and it's been awful with all of this chaos! But I'm glad to be back and writing more of this (surprisingly likable) story! You probably already know what the next chapter will be about! ;)
