Chapter 1: Moving day
Art by me!
—————————————————
Welp, today's the day. The day where Freddy moves into the indie house with all the other indie games. However, only one from each was chosen. Freddy was of course one of them.
As he looked up at the huge house in front of him, he took a minute to take all of it in before entering his new home.
'I guess it's now or never' Freddy thought to himself.
He approached the door, took a deep breath and rang the door bell that seemed to echo throughout the house. He didn't know why he was nervous, he usually wasn't for these tipes of things....well not really...
Maybe it was because it's a WHOLE new area with a WHOLE new set of people he's going to meet and that was understandable.
The door nob began to rattle, snapping Freddy back to reality. It opened, revealing a middle aged-looking man with a more dashing mustache Freddy will possibly ever see. "Are you Mr. Fazbear?" the man asked. Freddy was hesitate for a second. "Uh..yeah?" he answered.
The man had serious look, taking a full glance at Freddy, which made the bear feel a bit uncomfortable. The man's face changed to a more brighter one as he spoke again. "Ah! You are, come in!"
The bear was once again was hesitant but came to the conclusion that it was fine and headed in.
As he stepped foot inside, he looked up at the high ceiling above him, then at everything else. There was nothing but indies, running back and forth, trying to get the things situated. Freddy couldn't believe how many there were. He managed to see a black haired girl in a Japanese school uniform, a very cartoonish character who was wearing red and had a cup for a head? And a really cute ghost, just flying or floating around from place to place.
It was really amazing to see how everyone was very unique in there own ways. The man spoke once more. "So your Freddy Fazbear, nice to meet you. You can refer to me as the Neighbor" "Nice to meet you too" Freddy replied as they shook hands.
"So this is where you will be staying, I know this house might be a bit much but you'll get used to it" The neighbor assured the bear. Freddy continued to look around the room from where he was standing before the neighbor asked: " Would you like a tour of the house, Mr. Fazbear?"
"Uh, yeah, sure" Freddy said snapping back to reality.
The neighbor showed Freddy where basically everything is. The bathrooms, the kitchen, the really nice living room, even where the bedrooms are.
"Everyone will be in one of these rooms and they can have a room mate if they want" , the neighbor continued, "You wanted a roommate, yes?"
"Yeah, I did" Freddy said. "Well lucky, you will have a roommate I think you will like. I try my best to match the people who want roommates with the right person; And what I mean is, I try to match the ones who I think will get along good or who might seem relatable to each other" the neighbor confessed.
"So who am I with?" Freddy asked, curious. The neighbor smiled. "I think he's in the room right now actually"
They walked down the hall of bedrooms. Freddy however, had a question that he just couldn't stop thinking about.
"So..why did you consider making the Indie House, aren't you supposed to be the one who doesn't allow anyone into your home or something? So why all of this?"
The neighbor stopped and turned around to face the bear. "Why not?" He simply answered. "I mean, I know it isn't usual of me, but I thought it would be nice change of heart." Freddy stood there puzzled. How could a crazy man with a house full of secrets have a "change of heart" to make a home just for indies? Freddy couldn't find the answer to that and just accepted his answer. They continued walking until they stopped in front of a door.
From outside the room, it sounded like old 1920s music was playing. "This is your room", the neighbor said as he opened the door to the room.
It revealed a really cartoony character, not like the one Freddy saw before, this one looked like a little demon. He was whistling to the song that was playing on a very old radio while putting up posters and drawings.
"Bendy" the neighbor notified the demon to get his attention. The cartoon stopped what he was doing and looked at the man.
"Oh hi!" the demon said as it turned off the radio.
"Bendy, this is Freddy Fazbear. Freddy, this is Bendy." the neighbor introduced.
"Pleased to me cha!" Bendy smiled, raising his hand up to shake the bear's. "You too" he said, looking down at the demon. 'How am I like him?' Freddy thought.
"Alright, so this other side will be your side of the room, you can decorate it with anything and as much as you want." The neighbor backed out almost closing the door. "I will be in the living room if you need anything." And with that, he closed the door completely, leaving the other two by themselves.
^^^^^
An awkward silence filled the room as the two stood there not knowing what to do or say. Whenever Bendy tried to look at Freddy, the bear would look away. Though, Bendy became curious about what Freddy actually is. He started walking around him, examining him.
"What are you doing?" Freddy asked, uncomfortable.
Bendy stopped right in front of him when he was done and looked up to speak. "So your like one of those children walking-talking robots, aren't ya?"
"Animatronic" Freddy corrected him.
"Yeah, that!" Bendy replied.
"And your like those old cartoons from the 1920s or 1930s, kinda like Mickey-" "DON'T compare me to that...rat!" Bendy interrupts, slightly annoyed.
"What, why? What do you have against him?"
Bendy sighed. "He thinks he can get away being all famous and stuff and say he don't got secrets to hide, well he's wrong!"
"Just you wait; I'm going to show everyone who he really is and then he will fall!"
Bendy laughs.
"And how are going to do that?" Freddy said crossing his arms. "I.......umm..I....uh.....it's a working process.."
Freddy sighed in his head and walked over to his side of the room. He began to put his luggage down. "How old are you?" The bear asked, changing the subject.
"Uh well, my dad or creator said that I could be 19 years old, but cartoons don't really have ages, do they?" Bendy asked. "Well it depends on the type of cartoon, I guess."
"We animatronics don't have age nor do we have parents, we're robots." Freddy added.
"Well yeah, that makes sense." Bendy slightly chuckles. "So what do you do since your animatronic and all. Don't you just stand on stage and sing for the kids or something?"
"Well.." Freddy paused. "That's half. We used to walk around during the day time until the......*AHEM, incident. But not only I can entertain the children, I can also make pizza." The bear said, unpacking his things.
"Really? Did you used to serve it to the kids?" "Actually no, it's a new thing I started doing on my free time." Freddy replied.
"Oh that's cool, you gotta let me try some!" Freddy gave him a 'what do you mean look'. "It's just pizza, there's really nothing special about it."
Bendy then had an idea that popped into his mind as they were talking. He walked over to Freddy and asked for him to crouch down to his size. "Why?" "Just do it!" Bendy insisted.
Freddy obeyed the demon's words and crouched down. With an opportunity striking, Bendy booped the bear's big nose. It made a 'honk' sound that ended with Bendy laughing hysterically on the floor and Freddy looking away in embarrassment.
"HA HE HE....ugh I'm HE HE..I'm sorry, it was just an idea and I got curious." Bendy said getting up and trying to hold down the rest of his laugher. "......it's fine" Freddy manages to say.
At this point, Bendy's laughter was at its peek, until he stumbled backwards on his chair and they both fell. "Ah *squeak*!" Bendy said as he hit the floor pretty hard but quickly covered his mouth. Freddy looked at him.
"Was that you?" He asked. "What was?" Bendy replied, taking his hand off his mouth to speak. "That noise when you spoke" Freddy chuckled. Bendy didn't give an answer, instead he looked down blushing. Now it was Freddy's turn to laugh. Bendy looked up at him, surprised by his reaction and soon joined in on the laugh.
After a few minutes, the laughter in the room finally came to an end. Bendy was the first one to speak again, "Oh! Do ya want help with your side of the room, I can help ya decorate or something."
"Sure" he said, helping the demon get up from the floor. "So when you made that noise, was that you swearing?" Freddy added. "Uh..y-yeah. I was just surprised you found that funny, most people find that annoying." Freddy smiled, "cause it was" This made the little demon smile too.
'I guess we have one thing in common so far' Freddy thought, as they both chatted and helped each other decorate Freddy's side of the room.
